Hampshire College under attack

(Alan Dershowitz has just called SJP members and has threatened to start an international campaign to divest from Hampshire College - we need your support! We will be beginning an international fundraising drive to help Hampshire the negative backflash for this stand against the illegal occupation of Palestine. We will also have other ways to support us.)

Thanks for the update.....I am sure they expected quite a backlash for thier brave stance..but world opinion is behind them as well are many peace groups worldwide! ( Of course you wouldn't see that reflected in our media anywhere! )

{ IN PART }The proposal put forth by SJP was approved on Saturday, 7 Feb 2009 by the Board. By divesting from these companies, SJP believes that Hampshire has distanced itself from complicity in the illegal occupation and war crimes of Israel.
This groundbreaking decision follows in Hampshire’s history of being the first college in the country to divest from apartheid South Africa thirty-two years ago, a decision based on similar human rights concerns. This divestment was also a direct result of student pressure.
