Now it goes to the Senate, where 60 votes are needed.
(Washington Post) The House of Representatives today passed a massive fiscal stimulus bill aimed at resuscitating the U.S. economy, approving it on a largely party-line vote of 246 to 183.
Seven Democrats joined 176 Republicans in voting against the bill. One member voted present, and three did not vote. No Republicans voted in favor of the package.
In its latest cost estimate, the Congressional Budget Office put the price tag of the stimulus plan at $787.2 billion over 10 years

when does the senate vote?
when does the senate vote?
Why in the hell are they even there?
they don't read anything that they vote on-the Patriot Act, bailouts, and unconstitutional legislation. All of these bums, save Dr. Paul need to be kicked to the curb. I fear it may be too late though.
Pelosi sez
"What we need now, though, is not fear; it's confidence."
That's the attitude, Nancy. Just jump off of that bridge with the confidence that you can fly.

Another Say Day in American History
I believe this is the roll call:
http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2009/roll070.xml
Does anyone know why Kucinich voted for it?
Re: Another Say Day in American History
Because Kucinich is an honest but confused man. He knows nothing of economics, he does not understand monetary system, he does not understand laws of supply and demand in money, he does not understand how the monetary system we have is flawed.
A few weeks back he tried to introduce legislation to move the Federal Reserve to be a part of the government. Huh? What difference would that make?
Kucinich actually is starting to annoy me lately, like asking Kashkari, "who do you work for?". I mean come on, Kucinich, we all know Kashkari works for someone else than the average Joe, but you don't ask such blatant question expecting a productive answer - you're not going to get it. My advice to Kucinich: Go and listen to Ron Paul's questions - the old doctor does not ask confrontational questions because he knows he's not going to get anywhere this way.
Anyway, Kucinich is trying hard to reverse the dangerous trend but the problem is (just like your average democrat in the streets) he doesn't know what the right solution is. He just knows something is wrong in Washington.
his name is under the yays
Thank you Dr. Paul for making me act on what I already knew was right.

Not picking on you,
but that is one of my pet peeves!
They are not "morons". They know what they are doing.
They are EVIL, EVIL, EVIL.
Are you kidding?
They know nothing of economics, they don't read 90% of the legislation they pass... they're ignorant pure and simple. Though I find myself agreeing whole heartedly with your second point-- as I see ignorance as the root of all evil.
Sorry, you're right
They do know what they are doing and they are evil but they are also MORONS!

Who voted "Present" ?
Anyone know who voted Present? Also the ones who said "Not Voting" are a disgrace to the process. Not Voting or Present, tells me that person has some pork in it and are playing games with the public. Either way, 2010 should have new faces in Congress.
Anyone have a Roll Call ?

"No Republicans voted in favor of the package."
My version (with the exception of Dr. Paul, of course):
"No born-again conservatives voted in favor of the package."
