Search engine hijack..how to rid it.

If you are getting a search ridirect where it is saying 7.7.7.0... or 1.2.3.4... while you do a google, yahoo, or other search do this.
Search your files for :
c:\windows\system32
If you find it there will be two of them..One around 81k, the other around 14-25k...Move the 14-25k into the recycle and then delete it.
That's all you need to do. I think. It worked for me. And I'm glad because the redirects were driving me nuts. Thought I'd share with the DP.

Please be very specific
Many here might delete the whole folder, thus killing their computer. What specific file(s) are you refering to? Redirects often are caused by malware redirecting your search pages and bundling them with rogue search results leading the user to click on even more rogue links to download "supposed" software to remove the malware when really it's loading up more malware.
