Alan Grayson, newbie to Congress. Is he making the Fed nervous?
Submitted by xxonice on Mon, 02/16/2009 - 23:33
Don't know if this has been posted before but this Grayson guy kinda impressed me.
(BTW, he's a Democrat)
»

He's got my support. I just
He's got my support. I just sent a couple bucks to his campaign. Looks like he made the feds top 5 hit list for 2010. I my not agree on all of Rep. Grayson votes in congress, if I lived in his district he'd get my vote. Let's all send him some End the FED incouragement:)
Has anyone in Graysons district performed a background ?
Has anyone who acknowledges the strength of our constitution and has a record of supporting freedom and less government performed any background history on this man. Government connections, affiliates, special interest, etc.. What is Graysons background besides this video and his support of the bailout? We know about the law suit he won for a few million dealing with Iraq corruption. A few million is a drop in the bucket if a party is trying to develop another possible presidentialbot. Why did he vote for the recent stimulus package? He states that he is a Strong Democrat. So is Obama ! What exactly does he mean by strong democrat.
Details. We need details other then a family picture and questions with no answers to them.
I do respect the direct questions. However, I am cautious of politics and the soap opera of politics. We all know the saying. " I am a part of the government and I am here to help you".
Show me something !
Whatever else about him is wrong...
...Grayson asked some great questions.
Notice how the Fed Reserve worm avoided answering anything.
He patronized the question about we the people having a right to know where this money goes, but HE NEVER ANSWERED THE QUESTION.
These federal reserve guys (like Geithner too) are the sneakiest, dirtiest bastards I've ever laid eyes on.
We should rejoice that Grayson at least had the guts to ASK THESE THINGS.
How many Rebublican congressman (outside of Dr. Paul) are doing this???
This video should be WIDELY DISTRIBUTED.

Answer.
Not one little itsy bitsy bit.
His statement...
"We are not a Nation of men, we are a Nation of laws", leads me to believe he is in favor of more laws and more regulations.
He is exactly right when he
He is exactly right when he says that. It has nothing to do with regulation it is what our country is.
Do you not know about the lynch mobs?
This does not mean this guy has my full support yet but his statement about a nation of laws is 100% correct or at least that is what we are supposed to be.

A Republic is a nation governed by the rule of law.
A Democracy is basically mob rule.
For the time being
He is asking some good questions. let us contact our reps to make a law to audit the fed, it would be a first step in ending the fed when we can see what they been up to.

and we should welcome him and "trust but verify." "We will know you by your deeds."
I think his tactic of asking
I think his tactic of asking quistions is better tactic than Ron Pauls tactic of give a 'speech' and that followed with one quistion.
END THE FED!

It was an encouraging
It was an encouraging performance, but Grayson's new and he might just be trying to capitalize off the considerable attention now directed at the Fed (in no small part thanks to Paul).
He's certainly somebody to keep an eye on, but at best I'd expect he'd be more of a Kucinich-type Democrat rather than a free market Paulian. Even Barney Frank has agreed with Paul in certain circumstances, though I certainly wouldn't consider him a friend.
Best case: he joins Paul and Kucinich in outright calling for the Fed's closure.
Worst case: he joins "moderates" and calls for better regulations, oversight, etc, acting as if the institution would work well if it were managed better. This is the same canard people like Barney Frank have used to justify Fannie and Freddie despite their horrific failures.
He seems forthright.

A Republic, If You Can Keep It
You ought to read a post below entitled ...
"It's all about the money." According to it, this new congressman is a Socialist.
By the way, I love your Jane Wagner quote. I won't use it around here, but I will spread it elsewhere..
I will always raise an eyebrowl when listening to a lawyer.
My first thought of this guy and his crudentials. Being a lawyer and dealing with Iraq contractors. Though I appreciate any money given back to the people, if that is where it went. A low number of millions is a drop in the bucket to the billions being spent for the Iraq blunder.
What better way to bring up a individual in the system then to have a few face jonts on your resume to earn the trust of the people that do not know to check out back ground and voting records.
Hard questions for Kohn? We all know the hearings with the Federal Reserve is worse then a bad soap opera. The proof is in the puddin.
Harvard seems to be a poplular university with many candidates. Lets see !
Who else do we know that went to Harvard and ran for office in 2008.
Hmmmm !
I wonder if he was compensated for his law suit he won? Better yet, was it taxable?
I was highly impressed
Until I read some DPrs' analysis. You will know them by their deeds was a great comment.
I admit that I enjoyed watching him grill the fed, but if he's voting for stimulus and bailouts, he has a major malfunction.
Let's keep an eye on him. He's probably just another panderer when push comes to shove.
It's all about the money...
"From the beginning of his legal career, Alan gravitated toward the important question of how the Government spends the taxpayers’ money. He mastered the incredibly complex rules regarding government contracting, and represented hundreds of clients in that field."
This is from his bio page. Follow the money, he is a snake oil salesman. He is a big socialist and likes to spend other people's money -- his way. He created a foundation for old people, yeah, but it was all about government funds. Here's more:
"Wall Street firms recruited Alan heavily when he graduated from Harvard Law School, but Alan chose to be a judge’s assistant instead. For two years, he worked with such luminaries as Judge (now Justice) Ginsburg, Judge (now Justice) Scalia, Judge Mikva, Judge Bork, and others. After that, he accepted an invitation to join the law firm where Judge Ginsburg’s husband was a partner."
He's just a good cop in the old 2-party good copy bad copy routine, still out to screw us.
Bingo!
Makes sense. They're setting him up as a false knight in shining armor ... a new Pied Piper to destroy our cohesiveness.
How can we smoke him out?
They are still
spraying there toxic CHEMTRAILS over North Jersey so you are correct i don't think they are very nervous about this guy or anyone else for that matter. Quite the opposite IMO are else congress members would be returning my phone calls as to why they are allowing these operations to happen.
Floridians
Contact this guy and show your support. We need more Congressfolk who will stand up and actually do their jobs.

Good Questions
I voted against this guy for other reasons but I remember him campaigning on the promise to find out where our money was going (he was mostly protesting the waste in iraq in his ads). Hopefully this will awaken him to whats really going on. He voted for the bailout as someone noted earlier, which is a shame. But it sounds like hes coming around on the whole federal reserve game. I will closely monitor his actions and may end up voting for him in 2010 if he continues to question and come around on these issues. Good video. I have a new found respect for him that he isnt one of those "go with the flow" guys.
Beware of the group.

List of legislation sponsored by Ron Paul

He probably listened to Jim Cramer
.
Cramer was gung-ho on the bailout - the first TARP bill, and said without it, the country would collapse. My view it will collapse with or without the bailout. I like Ron Paul's view that some companies and financial institutions need to fail, otherwise we are propping up irresponsible entities.
I cut the freshman congressman some slack. He was wonderful in the video. We could use more like him. Not that it will change anything, but at least we're going down with a fight.
I am concerned with the shirt and tie
I know for a fact that the fed could give a flying F about anything this guys sez or thinks...yo.
He asks tuff questions cuz the TV cameras are on....I'm still freaking out on the shirt and tie.
Unify
Once the economy crashes, I hope that it will also be...
the "in thing" to follow the Constitution. How "in" would that be?
Cool to be anti-fed now! Beware!
It is now the "in" thing to appear to bash the Fed and especially big capitalism, banks, and anything which should be nationalized by the government!
This left wing congressman is featured in his own propaganda blitz, which nicely cuts out the answers given by the fed and by the bankers, and cuts out even most of what the congressman has to ask and say. The voice-over which conveniently blocks most of the content is by the gal from the American News Project, another nice sounding name for a basic socialist group which actively supports everything both McCain and the democrats want, the pink panthers, Acorn, and their new big hero, 'O-Bomb-a'!
It is a nice prop piece for the congressman, designed to suck in unwary Paul supporters... and apparently working! He no more wants what good constitutionalists like Taft and Paul advocated, than he wants Paul for president.
The day this man votes against McCain/O-Bomb-a, and the bailouts, and the IRS and the FED, etc., is the day I will look closer... till then beware and don't fall for this nationalistic/socialistic/communistic dogma, and I might add, rather simplistic conversation as far as it is allowed in this footage!
Leave the clip free of editing and promo, and allow the full text as does Paul... only then will you see the depth of analysis Paul presents by comparison. This congressman says very little actually! In fact he defends the fed!
Let's think deeper than the wall paper folks!

I do believe
you nailed this guy....spot on.......by their deeds, you shall know them
Any step in our direction is a huge step
especially in a Democrat run house. We need to encourage this man- let's let him know we like the direction he is headed.
