On January 25, 2009, the Schiff hit the fan when a popular and highly respected blogger, Mike Shedlock, took aim at rock-star financial guru Peter Schiff and his salient Peter Schiff fan club. According to “Mish,” as Shedlock is known, “most of the praise heaped on Schiff is simply unwarranted, and I can prove it.”
Much of Schiff’s fame derives from the now legendary “Peter Schiff Was Right” video, which was created and promoted by his Internet admirers and as of this writing has been viewed over 1.1 million times. Without a doubt, Schiff has become a hero for hordes of knowledge-seeking liberty activists who desire economic truths as well as a visible voice for their cause. These activists are not shy about openly supporting their guy. Until Peter Schiff, there was practically no one in a position to appear on national TV shows and combat the parade of misinformation consistently trotted out by government propagandists, the mainstream press, and their predictable economic advisors who are determined to shill for a new implementation of a tried-and-failed Keynesian paradigm.
This attack against Schiff
This attack against Schiff and the more recent attack regarding what he talked about at the Saudi conference both came very soon, less than a month, after news got around that he might consider running for Senate if there was enough support.
I find the timing of these attacks on him to be extremely interesting to say the least.

I think we need to look carefully at those who 'expose shills'.
Note Shillbuster's comment below that he suspects Ron Paul is "part of a sleeper cell" to promote the "evil" of gold-backed currency and competing currencies.

Schiff has got a "charisma" quality, Mish does not. The charisma quality can be very bad when it dominates the message conveyed as in Hitler, Obama, Mao, Mussolini, Castro, Mugabe, etc.

Peter Schiff has everything I need to blindly follow him; he's on TV, he says things that are different than the others, and he really seems to have a lot of contempt for America. I also really liked when he told the Saudis how to destroy our country completely. I hope a Saudi gets my house! He should be king of the world.

I haven't come right out and attacked Ron Paul on this website.
I have been trying to point out overtly all of the bullshit that is surrounding the Ron Paul campaign.
The Constitution has some major flaws and most people can see that. It gives the Federal government the power to decide how much money they need and then it gives them the power to decide how their going to get it. The constitution has created a police state. Taxation is armed robbery.
His economic ideas sound nice most of the time but then his solutions are not all that nice. Has he ever explained how we would actually implement his sound bite ideas. I have been a Ron Paul supporter for 15 years so don't tell me I don't know him. I have just recently woke up to the fact that it all sounds good until you start to actually think it through. I started thinking for myself and I also put my ego aside and I don't need to hold onto things I thought were good at one time.
The more Ron Paul associates with people like Peter Shill and Edwin Viera and Don Luskin and Alex Jones and the list goes on and on. (That's right I said Alex Jones). I am starting to think Ron Paul is part of a sleeper cell for the people who want competing currencies and gold backed money. Who are those people? I would imagine that anyone wanting either of those types of systems, probably owns all the gold that is going to have to be borrowed or they are financially sound to the point they could actually fund one of the currencies that are competing. Who has all that wealth? Who owns most of the gold in the world??? I would be willing to bet it is the same people that own the existing money system. It isn't the patriot movement people. It isn't the Ron Paul supporters. They spent every last dollar they had for his campaign and for what? for him to back pedal on 9-11 or getting rid of taxation? He backed down. So did Ross Perot and look at Pat Buchanan. They seem to suck the life blood out of the resistance and fade away. Ralph Nader??

Sorry to say all this but be realistic and don't just attack me for saying what I am saying. If I didn't care, I wouldn't say anything. Ron Paul is doing a wonderful job for someone. He is a master at what he does. He wouldn't be where he is if he wasn't.
He isn't stupid and if you would just look at the other side of the coin you may come to a realization that it is just another red hearing.

Look at the big picture. The son of the largest tax protester in the country is getting air time on main stream tv??? I've read his dads work and ate it up when I was new in the movement. Yea it all sounded so real and now we have his son and wow he is saying all the right things and oh he has other people that have his views. He must know what he's talking about. It's like a religion, the more people you get to join your church, the more your church must be the right religion. Sometimes you need to look a bit deaper to see whats really going on here.

If Peter is on mainstream TV he is working on one side or the other because we all know that the people in control , do control both sides of the arguement and they own mainstream TV.
I would like to think Ron Paul is un aware of these people but then I have to know that Ron Paul has been around for a long time and couldn't be that stupid so what am I to think. He back pedaled on 9/11 and then on eliminating tax's. He pedaled very hard for many years to convince the discontent people to embrace him but at the eleventh hour he back pedals just enough to fall short.
He was unstoppable until he stopped. The movement was just pushing him along or that is what it looked like. All I see is that if Ron Paul and Peter Schiff are the best we (the patriot movement) have then we're not going anywhere. Sounds like another Ross Perot or how about Ralph Nader.
I hope I can wake up enough people on this site and salvage the movement. Sad thing is it is hard to tell the shills from the useful idiots who just repeat what they hear. There are hundreds of 9/11 web sites and conspiracy web sites that are leading all the patriot sheep down little winding trails and off the main track.
