I Heard Rick Santelli Rants before
and none have garner this much attention. It did strike cord with most Americans. I think that each bailout has passed, it not getting any better. Stock market goes down and does not inspire confidence into the markets. The more the government tries to fix the problem the more it makes it worst. People are waking up to the fact that we are getting the shaft and the national debt burden on us, our children, grandchildren and their grandchildren have no way of paying tens of trillions of debt the our government has created.

can protect people who choose to defy the law and the banks and stay in their foreclosed homes, Thats okay by me, I would rather support them that way than cause their childrens children to pay for it. His ability to call it like he sees it is not all it's cracked up to be. It'll be necessary to be a project minded leader with what he has to fix. He just drops the bal and when the media picks up on it he dodges gets all cocky. He is exactly what he was then. Or maybe Mr. Community Organizer can lift strict laws and influence of the FDA and allow individuals the ability sell what goods they produce from home farms. what's a good argument against "stopping foreclosures will help YOU since you're home will stop losing value"?
i can see middle america falling for that.
i thought up this counter: well, you're using MY money to stop the foreclosure of my neighbor's house, so y not let me keep MY money so i can pay for X, Y and Z

The problem is not homeowners. It's the shrinking economy and it's not done yet. I'm sure there will a boat load of the "I ain't paying for my f@#$$king neighbor's mortgage" gang losing their houses in the next six months to a year. This show is just getting started. And the show will go on.

The us vs them crap. "the good honest hard working Americans vs the fat lazy dishonest Americans". That is bullshit. Americans are NOW losing their homes because the economy is skrinking and people are losing their jobs. NOT because they bought a house too big. This is a very important shift. Should the government help these folks stay in their homes? NO. Why? Because there is NO work and they will default on the new terms within six months or so. We are screwed. That should be his message. The Bankers have screwed up the system. Period. Pitting Americans against Americans who are losing everything, sucks.

I understand the immoral behavior of our government, but a lot of people still don't get it because they want a hand out from the government. They will be worse off with the bail-outs that reward failure and punish the rest of Americans who are struggleing to pay their mortgages.
I am glad that Americans looked past race to elect a candidate: I just wish it had been a better candidate like a Walter Williams.
