A question from a curious friend

(I didn't ask him but he might be waking up???)

His question is:

does anyone know if the Fed and the US Dept of Treasury have ever been audited or if they give any FULL disclosure of where our money is being spent.

he's on a tour around the country to try to raise the issue of our unfunded obligations. He say's we will soon be bankrupt. (he first said that a few years ago) The gold depository was audited 30 or so years ago. Never read anything about auditing the fed. We wouldn't really be privy to the audit anyway, it's a private bank.

You're talking about David Walker. He resigned.

And then he teamed-up with CFR co-chair Peter G Peterson to form a do-nothing organization whose message is "You Owe Us Big Bucks!". It was a a great way for two very wealthy people to move a lot of money just prior to the downturn though.
