Talked to a friend who is high up in the texas Guard... seems this is a false alert. he says there are problems down there and there may be something going on but the Texas Guard is not on alert. If they were he would know because it is his job to Put the soldiers on alert...

Texas Guard is planning two fold actions:
1) Deploy 1000+ TX ARNG soldiers rapidly (seeking volunteers as of today). Digging-up the OJS equipment list as of last Wed.
2) Prepare for mass overflow of Nationals to the U.S.
Assessment (possible Fiction):
My prior intel background leads me to these conclusions:
TX ARNG and ANG will deploy to ward off inflow of nationals. They will encounter, in short order, resistance from the 2,000+ cartel soldiers that are protecting the drug traffic routes. The Columbian cartel will launch an all out terror war in MX in an attempt to overthrow the Calderone government and install a drug lord as dictator.
NorthCom will deploy the 20,000+ soldiers under their command along the southern border. Strike teams will be in reserve (from border installations like Bliss, Hood, Huachuca etc) to drop into MX and combat the cartel soldiers being managed from Columbia. Rear area harassment on both sides of the border will ensue in an attempt to thwart opposition forces.
There will be no initial victory for the U.S. as a majority of MX officials and our 3 letter agencies are somewhat involved in the dope. When troops are dropped, they will be trapped by foreknowledge of said drop.
The 10,000+ MX cartel members in the U.S. will start heavy harassment in the U.S. anyone in LE and DOD become targets. Citizens will be in fear. The cover of night will not-be-relevant to these deviants . Beheaded bodies etc….. The worse…. Then Martial law.

TEXAS GUARD Prohibited From Travel to Mexico
THIS IS A FACT...
The Members of the Texas National Guard are prohibited from traveling to Mexico if they are in any form of "Paid" status with the Texas Military Forces. I cannot paste the actual notification as it is protected by Army Regulation 20-1. In short, we cannot travel to Mexico. This has only happened twice in my 23 yrs in the NG of a Border State...

As of today, there are no indications that this post is true. Normally, when any level of alert is ordered a complete telephonic alert roster is initiated. These alert orders (WARNO) will warn the individual soldiers to prepare for this or that. I have numerous contacts at various staff levels within the State. Over the past 8 days, I have personally briefed a 2 star General and (deleted as could indicate who I am). Nothing was mentioned or hinted to about a heightened state of alert.
As noted yesterday, yes there is a move to proclaim state sovereignty with the announcement of Bermans HRC50 (resolution). But this has no standing or force behind it. It is equivalent to your New Years Resolutions -in the trash as soon as its declared.

Folks are getting all excited about the resolutions and some states have Legislation introduced - it all means NOTHING. NONE of these bills will ever make it to a governor's desk, let alone get a signature or enforced in any meaningful way.

Juarez...
Is a bad place to be right now from what I have been hearing. The sad thing is that most of the civilians in Juarez come over to the U.S. and use our medical facilities, and our social security, then they go back to Juarez, Mexico, and take care of their homes. Sickening, if you ask me...

First thing I asked myself when I saw this thread was if this is the Texas National Guard or the Texas State Guard or both. A lot of people don't know that Texas has 2 "Guards."

Why is it our National Guard
is being sent to Iraq, Afghanistan and God knows where else and yet we have "regular army battalions" stationed here in the US for "civil unrest" or "national emergency"? Seems strange to me.
