i believe, and his aim is to destroy the Daily Paul!

can you believe this guy? he comes on here with his assertions that the Bill of Rights and the Constitution are flawed so badly that we need to write, with his editing, of course, our own "maxims"...12 of them, he says, 20, or so, words each to replace them!

the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are not good enough for him so we must all work to create something "new"? are you kidding me?

he is attempting to waste our time with confusion on something that has stood for nearly 250 years! WHY?

We are hypocrits, he says! WHAT? hypocrits for following Ron Paul and calling out the msm as tools of the NWO/CFR?

why in heaven's name can't Michael Nystrom "see" this? am i the only one who believes that this man is a fraud? am i the only one who believes that ANYONE who could draw like this (he claims these cartoons are his) should not be on contract with the NY Times or another major publication? he is either a liar or an idiot for not parlaying this work into a very good living...

instead, he calls you and i hypocrits and wants to substitute his "maxims" for our Constitution and Bill of Rights?

will someone please wake MN up? will someone please pull him away from his money table and look to see what is happening to his "baby"...

will my priviledge to post here be banned because of these beliefs? if that happens, i wish you all well because if i am to be banned for my beliefs here then i will go down swinging...we are NOT hypocrits for believing in Liberty...we are patriots and no matter how that FRAUD tuma spins it, it is NOT a bad thing...

Tuma is !!!!!!

A jolly good fellowwwww, which nobody can deny, which nobody can deny,
except for folks that haven't developed their reading comprehension.

READ, and if you can't understand what you have read ask somebody else to read it and help you, don't be a twit and start spouting off stuff about a man because you can't comprehend what he wrote.

Here are the 2 threads, read them, don't try to add of subtract things based on your agenda, read them, as the man wrote them:

http://www.dailypaul.com/node/83682

http://www.dailypaul.com/node/83674

This is a legitimate attempt to codify what a bunch of people that agree on most issues, but are to damned stubborn to admit it, believe.

Read it. If you have an argument against it, state it, back it up, add to it, when all you can do is make asinine personal attacks instead of refuting what the man actually wrote that doesn't lend my credibility to your position.

Thank you Dr. Paul for making me act on what I already knew was right.

My issue with

Kevin Tuma is he dumps on the idea of us taking over the GOP without offering up a viable alternative.

You know...

Ruthie,

You may be right. Kevin has put a lot of effort into pushing the third party direction, and nothing in that direction would classify as what I would call obviously viable. On the other hand, Ron Paul has put some effort into promoting a possible third party voice. And you're correct to point out that that effort didn't lead to much.

One cannot ignore the fact, however, that the push to "take over the GOP" has yielded...

nothing.

Now, I am aware of the suggestion that we are just at the tipping point with the GOP, and that some observable progress is possible. I hope that's true. But what I see around here, i.e., locally where I live, is represented more by what you see in the interactions with the RLC and the Republican leadership in Florida. The bottom line is that some of us are not convinced that "taking over the GOP" is a viable option either.

I think this is

I know

and I'm O.K. with people who would rather not go that route, although I will have to say we haven't been at this for very long and it's way too early to say what kind of effect we'll have on the GOP in the long run. If you think a third party option is more viable, more power to you. The bottom line is there will be those who want to work within the GOP and those who don't, and I'm tired of Tuma disparaging those who do.

These kind of threads make me laugh and laugh......

ecorob,

On this, your attack thread on Kevin Tuma, you have used the word 'hypocrit' at least 25 to 30 times.
If you have learned nothing else from the responses to your attack, at least learn this:

The word is spelled ... h y p o c r i t e ,

and the Encarta North American dictionary definition of the word is: "somebody who pretends to have admirable principles, beliefs, or feelings but behaves otherwise".

Yeah right.

ecorob, can you post some

ecorob, can you post some links to substantiate your claims? There is so much info here at DP it is nearly impossible to keep up with it all, so a few links would be appreciated.

At this point, I am not convinced. I haven't seen anything problematic from Kevin Tuma.

Regarding the Constitution, even Ron Paul has said that if he were elected as President he would work to change the Constitution so that it would be difficult (or did he say impossible) for all the politicians to continue to violate their oaths of office. One way of doing that might be with his legislation, or legislation that he co-sponsored, that would require all new Bills being considered to cite the specific text within the Constitution that authorizes it. That one simple amendment might have the potential to make the Constitution effective again in its purpose to restrain the powers of the federal government.

About the Bill of Rights, when it was added many people were against it - simply because they knew that the purpose of the Constitution was not about our rights but rather about restraining the federal government. Amendments 9 & 10 spell this out rather clearly. We would still have many of the rights that are specified in the Bill of Rights even if the Bill of Rights was not there, because the federal government did not possess Constitutional authority to restrict those rights in any way whatsoever.

The Bill of Rights was probably added in order to convince people that their rights come from the government. If you believe our founding fathers felt that way, then maybe you ought to re-read the Declaration of Independence as that tells you exactly where they believe we get our rights from.

There is a book out called

There is a book out called "Befriend and Betray: Infiltrating the Hells Angels, Bandidos and Other Criminal Brotherhoods"

It is a story of how law enforcement plants moles to get inside untrusted circles. Once inside, they gain trust from the groups leaders only to Bob Barr the party (so to speak).

I would recommend Michael Nystrom reads this book.

Ecorob. You're not alone.

There are people who believe infiltrating and influencing is of tremendous importance. They see themselves as playing the part of some patriotic roll to catch the bad guy. They think we are brainwashing them.

Not saying that Tuma is one of these characters, but his new found influence on this board is unfounded to say the least. I often find his comments to be counterproductive, distracting, and unmotivating. Kind of like Mike Lawson

thank you, troy...

i also do not believe i am alone as i have seen the same remarks from tuma...else i would not have called him "out" so harshly...he seems to get along just fine with rhino and a few of the others on here that seem to cast doubt and deem certain threads as "counterproductive"...i will rest my case with your post and let time tell...what's the saying by ghandi? first criticize, then ridicule, then agree (something like that)

i made my stand and i'll stand by it, every word of it...tuma is a fraud and has duped MN...i hope i am wrong but fear i am right...time is on my side

Whatever your gripe about Tuma is Ecorob, you sound more like an attention seeker. If you were serious you would have taken your thought to Michael Nystrom and discussed it with him.

yeah, i'm an attention seeker...

I think we've heard about enough

Look, moderators, this is a personal attack and a one-sided flame war.

How much longer does this guy get to go on before he's banned?

Agreed...this has gone on

Agreed...this has gone on long enough...Is anybody going to do their job?

I'm starting to feel

like this coming economic collapse and subsequent Revolution will be contrived just like 9/11 was an inside job.

I'm stepping out of the box for a second, does anyone else here feel like democracy as it stands today in America is the best way currently to control people and that is why the power brokers are running around the world bombing people for freedom?

you, too, will see the truth...

liberty...

considering that i have posted regularly here for over a year and have witnessed this recent growth just as you have, i would imagine that a FU! agent would do something quite different than calling out a (moderator?) to get this site off track...(see troy's post below)

perhaps, just maybe, i am a faithful RP follower just like you and see certain members here post multiple threads that seem devisive and counterproductive...and i called them out on it...perhaps i am a precinct leader who canvasses door to door in my neighborhood to solicit support for RP...perhaps you are wrong on just who you accuse of being an agent...

maybe you will "see" this and maybe you will not...time will tell and time is on my side...i don't have an "agenda"...what i do have is a stockpile of what i need to provide for my family when, not if, times get tough...

and what i also have is the courage to speak out if i see something that is not just quite right...finally, i will say this again about tuma...i hope i am wrong but i fear i am right

Kevin does not need to destroy the Daily paul

I'm watching it self-destruct on it's own.
And that's too bad.

Here you have a guy, who makes wonderful, artful political statements with his editorial cartoons. Who seems pretty selfless. Trying to brainstorm some ideas to move this thing forward. And all you can do is crap allover his efforts.

I believe you are jealous, and just can't take the fact that he's a big-ball of talent.

I support you Kevin, BTW, I've seen your cartoons pop up on a couple of media discussions. Keep up the good work!

I'm sorry Kevin

I think you draw just fine, it is the words you put into them that come off as sophomoric. 'Ronald McGovernment'?I think you could have come up with something better than that. You had a huge canvass of a belly, and didn't use it?
Have you considered collaborating with someone?
I think you have real talent, it just needs developing.
Your work doesn't suck, this thread caught me at the wrong time while in a foul mood, and I took it out on you.
Keep it up, I want you to develop your art.
Namaste.

I agree with Tuma on a lot of stuff...

From what I've read of Tuma's posts we agree on a lot of things; however what I don't, I will forgive him for. ;-)

His opinion is only one of many, and all are worthy of being heard. To regain Liberty we don't have to all exactly agree on the means-- just the end.

YOU GUYS MAKE ME SICK

Tuma is a ... genius!

From what I observe he has offered his life in hours alone absorbed in promoting freedom. He is a guardian of the light.

And never forget, “Humans, despite our artistic pretensions, our sophistication and many accomplishments, owe the fact of our existence to a six-inch layer of topsoil and the fact that it rains.”
