Very Good News!!!
Hello RPers,
Sorry for the verbosity.........
I barely ever post here, but am one of the constant "lurkers" you usually see as "guest."
Over the summer, my brother, (who is very intelligent) and I were talking politics. Both of us had been very apolitical (for me once I found out about RP, I took the Red Pill and have never looked back).
We were chatting and he mentioned he called his congressman to vote "NO" on FISA.
I was impressed he even knew what FISA was, let alone called his congressman.
(Ever since I had heard about RP, I have tried to turn my friends/family onto him, but in most cases, to no avail. After hearing my brother mention FISA, I tried to "convert" him...to no avail.)
Fast forward to this past fall, when the first round of stimulus programs were being launched.. again he called his congressman to say "NO."
I then asked him who he was gonna vote for...you guessed it "Johnny Change" aka Obama.
I asked him why...and he used words like "hope" and "change"...I couldn't F'N believe it.
I told him Obombya had voted for FISA (even though he promised no to)..I also told him Obombya voted for the stimulus programs,
I asked him how he could still vote for Obombya when Obombya apparently does the opposite of what my brother wants for this country.. but CHANGE was all it took to sway him
Last week I forwarded a CFL e-mail "Washington Still Waiting for Real Change", which detailed what we RPers knew all along..OBOMBA = SAME...He agreed to look at the e-mail and I told him I was proud he was open minded enough to do so.
Fast forward to today...my brother calls me to tell me he ran into an old friend at a party..The friend (whom I have never met) mentioned he was a big RP guy. My brother mentioned I was, too.
So my brother calls me today to ask me about a guy, Peter Schiff, and what I knew about him..I told him that Schiff tells the truth, whilst the disinfo agents just laugh at him.
I told my brother to watch "Peter Schiff was Right" on You Tube.
I am gonna follow up and make sure my brother takes the red pill..He already has it in his hand, which is much more than most people can say.

UPDATE 8-27-11....I called my brother to see how he was doing, since he lives in New Jersey, and a hurricane is hitting them. (The last several times I brought up politics,he wanted to change the subject) I jokingly said, "You better be supporting Ron Paul, this time around!" Much to my amazement, he said, "Yes!"
Don't stop working on people if they have an open mind/heart. Igt may take a few years, but they hopefully will come around.

I think many are starting to get a sinking feeling about Obama. The problem is that they were listening to vacuous speeches with no substance. Deep core beliefs are missing.
Now the American people need to understand self reliance, responsibility, and the dangers of expecting the federal government to take care of them.
Update!
I just got off the phone with my brother. He more or less now admits Obama represents HOAX not HOPE. He told me he hasn't seen anything Obombya has done that is any good, so far.
He now knows about the Fed and how evil they are, and he metioned how he now visits websites like opensecrets.org and nakedcapitalism(not familiar with this one). He says he can't even watch MSNBC or CNN.
Is he a RP guy? NO
Has he taken the "red pill?" about 13/16ths of one.
He still thinks we "need" Universal Healthcare, since we are the only "civilized" nation without it. (Don't worry, I am working on that one.)
Overall, I am very proud of the fact that he is questioning things and sees Obama for being the fraud that he is.
I think the deeper he goes down the rabbit hole, he will come around and see UniversalHealthcare is a scam.

I've been working on him since 1980, when I was pimping for Ed Clark and he had to "vote for the man who can beat Reagan." As we've all learned since, their was no such man. Also since then I have learned not to press the case but to point out to him when he actually does stumble into the truth. Usually with enormous self-righteousness and obnoxious glee. He's my bub, it's my privilege to irritate him. His wife handles him probably the same way your sweetie handles you. She lets him rant until he convinces himself that he thought of it first and insists on doing it her way.
We're all born ignorant; it just takes some of us a little longer to catch up.

Be patient...
and let him "discover" the RP thing on his own. You and his friend have started him on the path; now let him walk a while and do some of his own research.
Most of us just hate to be wrong (that probably includes your brother) and maybe he just needs a little more time to examine and research. Even if he never becomes a full-fledged RP fan, he will most likely be a lot less of a sheeple in the future.

What a good feeling! It is amazing but more people will be coming around. Obomba can't deliver and they will find out he is a liar.
Most of my friends and family are on the conservative side so they voted for the "lesser of two evils." However, they are finding out that the GOP is not the party that truly represents them. I keep sending them little things about RP and what the news is saying about him.

Thank you so much for sharing....We are at a point where even the Obama supporters will be questioning what he is doing, it is already happening. Quite a few of his supporters are very disgusted with what he is doing. What happened to the promise he made to bring our troops home? That promise went out the door once he took office, as well as quite a few of his other promises he made during his campaign, he is no different than Bush if that is the case, so what does that tell you??? He stated there will be transparency, please someone tell me when, and where has he actually told the truth, and made things transparent in our government. He sent Hillary to China to buy more of our useless treasuries. Obama is no different than Bush, and this tells me alot, it means that he is in bed with the same folks who have been running our country for the past decades, come to think of it, didn't Obama say he was not going to cater to the Lobbyists? Who really pulls the strings in Washington? Does anyone really know, because if you do, they are the ones that need to be tarred, feathered, and run out on a rail.

But I predicted all this stuff so they are sounding like they are taking me more serious. Work gently with him, I think I scared my family with to much to soon.
