Odds are that site is linked to a different parent site via RSS or some other fashion. They probably use the same server, etc, and what you are seeing are the numbers from the host site. I would look at the names and it may give clues to who runs the host site.
OR...they can make numbers up. But odds are it's a parent/child relationship.

Yes, I'm stupid enough to believe that many of those people commenting were quite sincere. They impressed me with their industry, looking up sites for every which kind of firearm. I'm not as clever as you. I didn't know, as you surely did, that the woman who tearfully claimed that Obama was going to pay for her mortgage and the fuel for her car was just an actor in incredibly droll readers' theater. She was reading it off of a teleprompter. Because everyone knows that no one is that crazy, and no one is that stupid. It was a terribly witty prank, playing to the credulity of those wanting to believe that their countrymen are mad. And the Che Guevara poster in the Obama election office, that was all madcap satire, too. Underneath it was a framed copy of the Constitution, and they just put that Che poster over it to get us humorless Truthers going. And Solzhenitsyn, dang what a joker! Was that some funny schtick? Tens of millions of people supposedly dying for crimes like not believeing in the Five Year Plan! Who could believe that stuff? Nobody's stupid and crazy enough to be serious when they say things like that! The Nazis? All brilliant parody. The Cultural Revolution? OMG! LOL! Nobody could be that stupid as to actually believe that stuff! Actually I do read the posts, apparently not all. I was worn out with reading the FORTY FIVE pages of sickening drivel on the Obama site. So when I read what was posted here, it seemed to be a back and forth between those who thought it was a prank and those who thought there might be some sincerity there. I would have loved to have known that it was made by Paulists. But I just kept reading how silly and humorless I am to believe that anyone could actually think this stuff. And unfortunately, as I pointed out, plenty of people do, have, and will espouse these kinds of philosophies. It might be nice if the wags who constructed the site stated their authorship on more pages, because I am sure that many people, like myself, arrived at the the site on that thread, following a link from Rense.com, who also appear not to know it's all a big joke. It would have been really nice to know that it was all hilarity. It would have saved me hours of nausea and despair for my fellow man. Because unfortunately there really are people out there like that, and they're becoming more powerful by the day. There are real Obama supporters posting real Che Guevara banners. Internet censorship isn't funny, it's probably inevitable. There is at least one newscaster huddling under a sofa when likely scenarios for our future are discussed. When the world is following an insane script, sometimes the supposed satire is tamer and less outrageous than reality. And I guess it's not all that funny if it keeps happening in real life, and it kills millions of people.
