This is your money. You have a right to know where it's going and how it's being spent.
Story on the site:
from CNN

Does anyone else think that Hillary Clinton in China trying to convince them to keep buying our T-bills has everything to do with Obama's balanced budget/deficit summit? I think China is demanding us to get our house in order before they commit to keep financing our empire.
allright..
Nice picture but.. Where is the proof ?
Libby, I admire your willingness to
come to this site with your contrarian viewpoint. But my goodness, you take a government website as factual and accurate? You do not suspect the teensiest bit of self-serving spin?
How do you imagine we got into the world-wide economic disaster if governments were either competent or honest enough to understand and tell the truth?

It's a spin site. Their mission statement reflects this.
"On our end, we will use interactive graphics to illustrate where the money is going, as well as estimates of how many jobs are being created, and where they are located."
Does that also mean that they will be using the same or similar capabilities to illustrate where these monies, having been seized or encumbered via debt instruments, will "not" be going because of the government's coercive intervention? The same question could be asked regarding this so-called "job creation" effort. They're not going to consider, much less publicly document, the harmful effects of their seizure and redistribution.

Their graphic also reflects this...
It's not to scale. $144 Billion is more 3/4 the size of the bar for $288 Billion.
The graphic is either misleading or incompetence, neither is particularly desired.
Let's all send in our stories
Let's all submit to this:
http://www.recovery.gov/?q=content/share-your-experience
And share our story of how upset we are. How further discouraged we are for the future because of the passage of this horrendous bill. How we now have to work even harder to prepare for a disastrous future, etc.
as always of course!

Think for yourself, question authority
Anyone notice
recovery.gov timeline ends on July 15, 2009 when recipients are to BEGIN reporting on use of funds. Typical.

Hey lib,
if it's our money, do we have a right to have it not spent?
If it's our money, can we have it back?
Yep, I expect honesty and
Yep, I expect honesty and full disclosure on a government website.
