Local Hero NH Rep. Dan Itse Reaffirms NH State Sovereignty
NH State Representative Dan Itse, a local hero among freedom lovers, conservatives, and liberals alike, has filed HCR 6, a bill that would reaffirm New Hampshire's sovereignty in the event that the federal government oversteps its agreement with us as outlined in our Constitution.
Dan appeared on Fox News with Glenn Beck to discuss the meaning and purpose of the bill. He explains that it is not so much a secession bill, but a reaffirmation of both our Federal and State Constitutions and the agreement states have with the federal government.
My contention is that since our legislators took an oath to uphold the NH Constitution, they should be obliged to vote for this bill.
Dan also mentions the fact that NH was the state chosen by the Free State Project as well as the existence of many tightly-knit freedom-watching groups such as the NH Liberty Alliance.
Here he speaks with Fox News Reporters about the bill:

Sovereignty Hits Roadblock
The bad news here is that Itse's sovereignty resolution has been voted down. For all the latest info on the State Sovereignty movement and its prospects check out http://www.republicofdave.

State Sovereignty
If you want the Feds out of the State's business, then throw them out.
I do not see anyone proposing to dissolve the New Hampshire Corporation which was formed under Federal Corporate Structure giving the feds control. The name, of which, is "The State of New Hampshire". The name of the state with legislative power is "New Hampshire State". When you deal with "State of" New Hampshire you are dealing with a Federally created Municipal Corporation "Owned by" New Hampshire State. It has no legislative power. When you deal with New Hampshire State you are dealing with the State's legislative authority. All of the states have formed Corporations to appease the Fed to get Federal funds. All Corporations are controled by their creator, the Fed/Congress. Acts of Congress for Corporate Statutes do not have to meet the muster of the Constitution. Congress likes that kind of power.
Unincorporate, form a Trust to administer state monies and you are free of the Fed and can represent the rights of your citizens.
That is my take.

I sure am liking all the
I sure am liking all the press coverage of this NH resolution. I'm sure many will be watching to see what happens in NH on March 4th (the day of the rally/house vote for HCR6). If the day goes well, the concept of the Free State Project will become more intriguing to those liberty lovers that have been sitting on the fence wondering if this movement is the real deal.
Rep. Itse is a good friend
Rep. Itse is a good friend of liberty lovers. I was psyched to see he noted the help of Free Staters. We do what we can, and can always use more help! MOVE! :)

Dan's a good man
I've met Dan at the NH state house fighting for liberty. He is a good man and I look forward to seeing him again at the state house on 3-4 at 8:00 AM for the big rally and again at the Liberty Forum in Nashua, NH the following weekend.
