I'm starting to get worried/lose hope....
People/the public are not getting upset about the things going on today.... Instead, they're doing the opposite. They're supporting it!
I thought that although we liberty-minded individuals are a small minority, there was enough of a open-minded majority that we could reach out, educate, and take back our country....
But it's becoming increasingly evident to me that not only are we a minority, but the vast majority of Americans are not only supportive of these socialist ideas, but they identify themselves as part of this collectivist cause.
Now, of course we should keep trying, but unfortunately, I think we're only likely to succeed the hard way, and likely, our "success" will have very little to do with our efforts. It seems like the only way our ideas will ever be tried is after the current policies are enacted to their fullest and the system collapses under its own foolish design. The American public and collectivist mind, it seems, will not change their ways until they fail utterly and destroy themselves....
Hopefully there will be enough left over for us to rebuild and start over. We have to stay involved and keep working, because when the time is right, people will be looking for someone with the answers.
I'd love to see liberty in my lifetime.

Now worry is another matter. We generally worry when we can do nothing, but feel there is something we desperately need to do... This is one of the emotions that we overload ourself with. Take a "Zen" moment: Right now, this instant, how's things? For all of my POSSIBLE problems that may manifest, right NOW I am warm, fed, clothed, and loved by a handful of truly amazing people. I am not worried. I am prepared to do battle in whatever form the battle may come to me.
OK, end of my "Zen " moment. I struggle with getting really, really angry at the people that DO know how bad things are, but want to pretend we can (pick one) spend, vote, fundraise, compromise, bargain our way to liberty... about as useless an emotion as worry!

We are living through what I consider to be the financial dark ages. The greatest theft in history is taking place right now - and we are the victims.
This battle has been going on for at least 250 years - we are kept misinformed and ignorant as a people. And now, things are coming to a head - our way of life, freedom and prosperity are being taken.

I am sitting in my living room right now looking at boxes with no where to go.
I have 3 weeks. *3* weeks. And the mind numbed public sits there and cheers him on like he's doing a good thing. Like he's really helping families that are losing their homes. Ah, but with strings.
It's hard to pack boxes with no idea where you are going to take them.
If I think about it too hard, I will cry and I promised myself I wouldn't cry in front of the children so they think this is all normal and that I'm sure of where we are going. How blindly they follow us. Since we are in a position of authority over them. They trust that we know exactly what we are doing and where we are going and that they are going to be safe and sound with a roof over their head.
I don't feel safe today. I don't feel certain. I am scared. And like you, I am starting to get worried and lose hope.

I understand how you must be brave in front of the children. I remember FanoWalt awhile back moved from her home into a small cottage with her children, and she managed to make it an adventure even though, I'm sure, she was crying inside.

I heard about another person who got a bailout from the government for their house. We should have a project to protect patriots like yourself. I don't mind giving to a charity, or sponsoring a business that I think could succeed. Do you really have nowhere to go? With five kids? I'm suprised no one from the Lousiana/mississipi area hasn't stepped in to help.
My suggestion is to tell us what you need (as far as orders of your soap or donations) to keep on going on a monthly basis and we might be able to match that for this month.
If we can give $24,000 in a day to a millionaire who probably won't run for senate, we should be able to sponsor a good product and a good family. By the way, pictures of your family and house and your situation would be good for the rest of us to know.

We are looking
at two rental houses 45 minutes south of here. But no word yet. Our credit isn't exactly the best right now so we are having a hard time even renting. We should know something at some point this week but there will still be expenses that I need to try and cover. Deposits, down payment on rent, rental truck..etc etc etc.
I also just discovered that in MS..you have no time after the house is foreclosed to vacate. Some states give weeks and months. Here, you have days (abt 2-3)and then the sheriff comes with men and puts your things on the street corner even if you aren't home. They will get in and remove everything.
Our only option right at this point is to move to Orlando with my mother and father. With a 3 week crunch, moving to Orlando is a massive undertaking.
If we could get $2500 a month in soap orders, we could probably make it with the other things we have going on. $3000 would even give us a little breathing room. I really don't care about keeping the house. It's fighting a losing battle and may give us a chance to start over. But it's still nerve wracking with no where to go TO yet.

now I know why you are packing everything up. I hope a rental place comes up for you. That credit crap is just that crap, it's such a rigged system. Rental places are going to have face up with the fact that with everyone losing their homes they aren't exactly going to have credit to rent something. Darn I hate seeing all this collapse, it's so necessary, but I hate seeing the good people that are being hurt. Looking forward to my order and I'm trying to spread the word.

That's a tall request
from people. We've tried that here before. Not many seem to respond. I got the best response from George Ure's site. That got our phones back on and replaced our printer to print business cards and labels for the soap and products. It has allowed us to go to the grocery and put gas in the cars to make sales calls for the last few weeks. It's also allowed us enough money to pay some bills and replace our materials.
I don't want money from people. I just want them to place orders. That way I don't feel like I am being a burden on anyone. You are buying a product AND helping us at the same time. You know? I must say that if we got that much in orders at once, we would be sweating. LOL.
It is a problem that I would welcome at this point though.

I only mention about the kids cause some people are real hard cases and might not take your word for it, that you're a mother of five. I have two little girls and I'd feel pretty bad if we were kicked out of our house. I thank God everyday. I'll do as much as I can to make sure your business is a success.

He mentioned us when I sent him an email to ask about advertising. I told him a very brief version of our situation and asked how much. He posted my email to him on his front page and we were innundated with 150 orders over 4 days. It was almost more than we could handle and took us almost two weeks to get everything out but we managed.
If they have any doubt I can scan copies of the foreclosure papers in. You can see that they are not working with us on our van either and I'm about to have to hide it until we can get it worked out with them.

Although it wouldn't be terrible...
Their house is much to small to accomodate 9 people. I fear that it would harm our relationship more than it would help it.
They would love to sell but their property value has dropped nearly $100,000 in the last year so they are upside down in their mortgage or close to it.
If we have no other choices, we will go there. But they are a last resort.
I am hoping that something comes through with one of these rental houses. They aren't the Taj Mahal by any means, but they will do.

Get a grip on what you need to do. Focus. You will have to have a roof and sufficient house around you for you and your children. It doesn't have to be fancy - but sturdy and serves you adequately. I've been where you are and can vouch for integrity from within which is where all help comes. KNOW, absolutely KNOW you will be provided for and it will happen. "The idea of the individual, with individual thoughts, feelings, moral conscience, freedom, and responsibility, came into being. but with individuality came isolation, alienation, and bewilderment. Freedom is a difficult thing to have, and when we can we tend to flee from it".
Fromm describes three ways in which we escape from freedom:
1. Authoritarianism. We seek to avoid freedom by fusing ourselves with others, by becoming a part of an authoritarian system like the society of the Middle Ages. There are two ways to approach this. One is to submit to the power of others, becoming passive and compliant. The other is to become an authority yourself, a person who applies structure to others. Either way, you escape your separate identity.
2. Destructiveness. Authoritarians respond to a painful existence by, in a sense, eliminating themselves: If there is no me, how can anything hurt me? But others respond to pain by striking out against the world: If I destroy the world, how can it hurt me? It is this escape from freedom that accounts for much of the indiscriminate nastiness of life -- brutality, vandalism, humiliation, vandalism, crime, terrorism....
3. Automaton conformity. Authoritarians escape by hiding within an authoritarian hierarchy. But our society emphasizes equality! There is less hierarchy to hide in (though plenty remains for anyone who wants it, and some who don't). When we need to hide, we hide in our mass culture instead. When I get dressed in the morning, there are so many decisions! But I only need to look at what you are wearing, and my frustrations disappear. Or I can look at the television, which, like a horoscope, will tell me quickly and effectively what to do. If I look like, talk like, think like, feel like... everyone else in my society, then I disappear into the crowd, and I don't need to acknowledge my freedom or take responsibility. It is the horizontal counterpart to authoritarianism.

changing 10 of your family, strangers or friends minds about liberty and personal freedom. Most will pause and listen if you can give good sound facts and examples. Challenge the 10 to enlighten 10 more so forth so on.
Pass on one of Ron Pauls books or give them as gifts. This is a movement that is progressing and is catching on more than you think. Ron Paul;s face time in the MSM is ten fold of any other candidate that ran in the last election. Peter Shiff, Jim Rodgers are like the old EF Hutton commercials,
when they speak people listen. We are day by day educating ourselves and families.

Zen’s right. My brother-in-law is an ER nurse. He’s in a room with 6 other nurses and asked them what they thought about Obama’s Stimulus bill. They didn’t even know what he was talking about. All they are hearing is that the bail out will fix things and there will be jobs.
Anyway, we can sit here and debate why people don’t pay attention, etc., but wouldn’t it be better for us to think positive and try to head these people in the right direction.

Let’s take the Fairness Doctrine. Most of the people we are talking about probably don’t even know what this is about, but would agree they want free speech . This is a non-partisan issue and you make the petition short and to the point and we email it to everyone. Now, they have been educated about the Fairness Doctrine and hopefully will be able to stand up against it.
