Friends of Liberty:
Will it never end? I received this from my eldest. Our children grew up without television, but rather with evenings of reading aloud many, many childrens' classics, fiction and nonfiction, into their late teens and they cherish this heritage. He warns me not to get rid of any of these treasured books, thinking they can be recovered at will via library or thrift stores . . .

what
before 1985?
That seems criminal...
and does not make sense.
Especially when a lot of OLD books, especially some 1st Editions are worth hundreds if not thousands of dollars! Or out of print books.
In fact - A Limited First Edition of Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury (1953) -goes for over $12,000.00. And it's bound in Asbestos!
Illegal?? That doesn't seem right.

I keep thinking
of the movie "V" where Parliament & the Ministry kept all the treasures & valuables for themselves except for the ones taken back by V.

I've never seen V is for Vendetta but...
I've seen a few comments about this movie and the eerie relvance to some topics here on the DP. I'm making a note to watch it this weekend. Thanks.
Very popular
here on DP. A definite must-see for patriots!

Just like
the used clothing, toys, and just about all childrens items. I wonder if this or will include hand me downs or giving items to one another? I could see them doing it. Can you come in contact with your child in your old clothes. What about other items in the home or elswhere. Anything could have trace amounts of led in it. This is ridiculous. My husband works at an amusement park and they lost millions in merchandise left from last year and had to turn truckloads away of new merchandise because the companies were not yet in compliance. This is much bigger than people realize. Very hard on many businesses and retail I'm sure. Not to mention wholesale. Think of the cost of the testing and the landfills full of all the stuff full of what are most likely perfectly safe items. Just another way to help tear down the country.
This is why we need the Read the Bills Act
The RTBA would require not only that Congress read before voting, but that the public would have 7 days advance notice to be able to point out the flaws.

I doubt they'd obey it.
The Federal government does not obey its own laws. It's essentially a rogue government.

Here we come. I mean, REALLY. This is unbelievable. What better way to get real literature and truth off of the shelves to spoon feed them garbage? I can't believe it. It is so BEYOND belief.

Great, now you tell me. I just dropped off a ton of books to the

Stockpiling Contraband
Thank you for reminding us about this! Maybe we should be stockpiling these beloved Children's Books along with our other survival supplies?

"I just came back from my local thrift store with tears in my eyes! I watched as boxes and boxes of children’s books were thrown into the garbage! Today was the deadline and I just can’t believe it!"
I wonder just what is the correct way to dispose of these items? Anyone playing the markets might want to look into the lead handling businesses. This sounds like it may force consumers to purchase new items rather than opt for the old & used...
I still see thundercats on ebay. Whew!!
