Got ideas? Daily Paul investment ideas. And Should we be investing together?

Let me start this threat to be about ideas that might work in a deflationary economy that we all believe is upon us and will last the next 2 to 10 years or more.

A) So if you have ideas, lets hear them.

B) And also, should we be pooling our capital and investing together?

C) What business model did well from 1929 thru 1951 -- during the last deflationary market?

++++++++++++ Let me expand on that+++++++++++++++++++

Knowing what we know about the economy, perhaps we should group ourselves and capital together and become an investor block. As an investor block, we could buy in quantity and cherry pick for quality.

For instance, my company (www.landtobuy.com) was just approached by some real estate house brokers to buy up a "package of houses" from Countrywide. They said it was 22 houses in all, all for $50,000, as one large purchase. Today they are sending me all the info which they claim the houses are worth $200,000 each. Interesting I thought.

All this got me to thinking, perhaps there are some like minded Ron Paul people out there who, like me, bought up lots of Gold in 2007 and have been sitting on the sidelines trying to figure out what is the next best play.

I would be interested in hearing from my fellow DP'rs as to what is the next best play.

A fellow Ron Paul friend of mine approached me the other day. Said he could get "Scooters" in from China for $400 a box "mostly assembled" he said. He is looking into selling them on Craigs list and EBay. I don't know anything about that business, but I agreed with him, that scooters where very popular in Europe at the end of WWII because gas was so high and cash so hard to come by. Maybe he is right, with 90 miles to the gallon and zipping along at 50 mph, they may become very popular for just local getting around. People may dump their second car to get money as he said, and then use the scooter to get around. I don't know and I don't know the import business or the cycle sell business. But I was so happy to listen and learn.

Another Ron Paul fan, we made 200 Ron Paul Revolution signs together, approached me over the weekend, said he wanted to do a Diamond, Gold & Silver Jewelry "Buy & Lend" business. A "pawn shop"? I asked, and he said, "sort of" without all the other stuff. He said he did not want to use the word Pawn because of all sorts of ideas about it and said he preferred the sign to say, "WE buy & WE Lend". Good idea I thought.

Let me listen and learn about your ideas to questions A) B) & C) above....

I would be all in

in regards to a house purchase thing like you mentioned above. This is not for the faint at heart......but if we put together 20 people with $10,000 or $20,000 each....we could buy up an entire neighborhood....or thousands of acres somewhere. This is the TIME TO DO IT!!!

I really, really want people to consider claiming land. There are a hundred reasons why, but 20 acres for $200 ought to be enough. You can get several people listed per claim, they each get ten acres - vast tracts of land could be claimed by liberty lovers and we could work cooperatively to RESPECTFULLY take resources from the land to sustain ourselves.

Everything you need to know is here, made as confusing as possible in the way only a government agency can do...

That is why I have offered to help. It sounds TERRIBLY complicated, but it really is quite simple. Locate it, go to the county and check for recent filings, then go to the BLM and check their records. If the area is elegible to be claimed and not currently claimed, you give the BLM some money - $175 bucks I think - it has been a while... and then back to the countyand give them ten bucks or something like that.
Understand a few things before you get too excited: You will probably never "own" this land - Clinton put a moratorium on patenting claims (that is how you used to get a title to your claim.) However, you CAN build a storage shed, and live on the land as long as you work the claim. Any gardening would have to be done as container gardens. You stake claims of Forest Service or BLM land, so you can't treat it like a yard. If memory serves, you can get up to 10 people on a claim, and each person can be on 10 claims. I will brush up on the current fees and details. Annual fees are $125, but you can show work to equal that and not have to cough up cash.

If we hosted a, say, 4th of July mining fest, would anyone be interested?

Click on the "mining claim" map and do a search for "Wildernook" or "Nagual" in Idaho - those are our claims. These are NOT in the best area for gold, but they are very close to some good spots.

oops

Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.

So I could claim 100 acres for 1K?

What are the details? Does ownership transfer? Or is it a mining lease?

"You Cannot Stop An Idea Whose Time Has Come"

Sounds interesting,

paul4won...the scooter idea is intriguing to me, as well...

Where does one get land at

Where does one get land at $10 per acre?

I've heard of 'free government land' before, but have never spoken with anyone who has actually done it.

What's the scoop?

...

She is talking about filing a mining claim, I believe.

I don't know anything about it, but if paul4won posted it---she has researched it and knows!

:)

ever heard of Hot Spring Harley? We just discovered more of his artwork - spectacular!
