Kentucky has a 10th Amendment Resolution!

We have been working hard here and we have a 10th Amendment Resolution. It's HCR 168.

http://www.lrc.ky.gov/record/09RS/HC168/bill.doc

If you are in Kentucky, call the LRC Hotline and leave a message to your Representatives to support HCR 168! The toll free number is 800-372-7181.

While you are on the phone, some other bills we are working on:

NO on HB 228 (makes salvia a schedule 1 substance)

YES on SJR 73 (no REAL ID!)

YES on SB 131 (Industrial Hemp!)

NO on SB 62 (grants media companies superior speech rights)

We've shut down the phones in Frankfort before...let's do it again.

These phone calls are crucial. We do not have a track record of having any spine here...remember our state has been trying to be FIRST to comply with Real ID. Our state politicians want the money that is attached to that. Calling Frankfort DOES work, or it has in the past, but we will need a tremendous result on these issues. HB 228 passed unanimously in the house already.

The ladies on the switchboard at LRC are very nice. Please call!

28 States so far

I think that there are about 28 eight States that have or are planning the same thing. We should all be calling and writing our State congressmen in support of this if we live in a State where it is pending or not yet introduced.
Here is a good link with more information.

10th amendment

nice!

ya know... i was gonna ask if there was 1 website to keep track of this "10th amendment movement"... i think the answer is dailypaul.com ... yet another reason the CFL website will never be as useful to me as this website. thanks nystrom!

That's true for many of us, 95687-for-rp

thank you, Michael, from me too.

Getting back in the fight!

Long time activist here(ran an EF! group and published underground Zine back in the day as I played bass in a punk band), just signed up here and at C4L and am looking forward to meeting the local group on the 2nd of March.

I sent ALL my representatives emails and called each to let them know how we feel!

fixed

Oops! You are right it's SB 62...sorry for a really BAD typo

For all of you contacting...thanks. That f*****g HB 228 knocks out a product line for me, and passed unanimously in the house today. I't going to pass flying colors. This is on top of another product line of mine being confiscated by customs last month, and that was big one. We sell tobacco too, so we are facing astronomical price increase with new state and federal taxes.

I've worked VERY hard since graduating high school. Lived with no furniture and no car for a long time to get through school. Busted my ass working a regular job after college and starting a business (never ANY debt at all!). Just lots of hours working my butt off to build a future and have a way to retire, since I knew early on that SS would not be there for me. Now I don't even know if my business will survive that I've worked and sacrificed so much for.

I'm about at my breaking point.

where did you get that qoute?

that was 1 month after the rally......
thanks for sharing it.
I think it eloquently states how we all feel and what we are doing here.

HCR 172

Appearently we were more persuasive than we thought we would be, because now there are two Sovereignty Resolutions. HCR 172 sponsored by Rep David Floyd (R). It's the same as HCR 168. I don't know exactly what we do at this point having two gives us two chances but I think we may need to get one of them to co-sponsor the other. This is good though it show Bi-partisian support for this. Checking on this in the morning.

allright oruval,

time to unleash some of that pent up energy. I recommend avoiding any sort of talk like we do here on the DP. I printed out 50 copies of Arkansas resolution. complete with color copies of the reps that submitted it.
I ask people to contact the reps and thank them, I am getting great responses!!!
I am selective in who I talk to and what I talk about. I am just trying to stir the fire, not convince them of anything.
and it works!!!

Thanks

And like I've said before I don't even own a 9/11 inside job shirt or a bull horn. I'm quite tactical with people in real life.. =]

I understand about stirring the fire.. call me a fire bug if you will..

questioning authority.

is proper, and is the essence of what it means to be an American. most are afraid to do so. 911 is a good example.
I believe that restoreing our rightfull government, will reveal the truth about 911.

You are forgetting a big one

Kentucky House Bill 715 (ammunition encoding) is coming up.

"It's just one big club... and WE ain't in it!"

"Tyrants fear nothing more than insubordination"

"It's just one big club... and WE ain't in it!"

HB 715

There is no HB 715 this session. I think that one got beat out last year that everyone keeps circulating in an e-mailbut if you, look at the top it says 08 REG SES. Kentucky has not introduced it again this year.

They must have re-introduced it

and given it a new number. It's been posted here a few times.

"It's just one big club... and WE ain't in it!"

"Tyrants fear nothing more than insubordination"

"It's just one big club... and WE ain't in it!"

Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009
Posted February 10th, 2009 by Bonhomme Richard

It has already started... Ammunition Accountability Legislation

Remember how Obama said that he wasn't going to take your guns? Well, it seems that his allies in the anti-gun world have no problem with taking your ammo! The bill that is being pushed in 18 states (including Illinois and Indiana ) requires all ammunition to be encoded by the manufacture a data base of all ammunition sales. So they will know how much you buy and what calibers.

Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009 unless the ammunition is coded. Any privately held uncoded ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2011. (Including hand loaded ammo.) They will also charge a 05 cent tax on every round so every box of ammo you buy will go up at least $2.50 or more! If they can deprive you of ammo they do not need to take your gun!

This legislation is currently pending in 18 states: Alabama, Arizona,
California,Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina,Tennessee, and Washington.

Send to your friends in these states AND fight to dissolve this BILL!! To find more about the anti-gun group that is sponsoring this legislation and the specific legislation for each state, go to:

"It's just one big club... and WE ain't in it!"

"Tyrants fear nothing more than insubordination"

"It's just one big club... and WE ain't in it!"

Bill #?

What is the bill number for it? If you are getting it off of a web site or through an e-mail as I did at work click on the link and see what session it says it is.

Even the website pushing it has the old 2008 stuff.

You could be right

Outdated things get posted here often.

10th Ammendment efforts.

Before a state can claim their 10th Ammendment Guaranteed Rights, they need to un-incorporate, or disolve, their "Municipal Corporations". Each state has formed a Corporation under the Corporate rules and regulation structure of the Fed which binds their financial loyalty to the will of the Fed. The Fed controls all Corporations, private and municipal, created under their "exclusive legislative jurisdiction".

Again, disolve the state municipal corporation to free the state from the Fed's control. Then, form a TRUST to administer the peoples monies in a fiduciary capacity. Elected officials as trustees and the people as beneficiaries of the State's TRUST contract would leave the Fed without the ability to infringe or influence the collection or expenditures of the states revenues.

Disolving municipal corporations also eliminates a state's ability to apply "Revised Statutes" (laws not subject to the state constitution) on citizens in the State. This would free the people as well protect the sovereignty of the people which is threatened by the Corporate (U.S. Contracted) Municipalities.

I believe, disolving your town and/or county "Municipal Corporations" would free you, your town, and your county to challenge other Federal torts directly under the provisions of the Constitutions of the State and the United States of America. You cannot invoke the aid of "Municipal Corporations" to protect you from the "Federal Corporation's" decrees, mandates and sheer will under Corporate rules and regulations which do not have to meet the muster of any Constitution.

That is my take.

The People

I really don't know about what you just said, I think I heard it before and it sounds right. But the important thing about the 10th Amendement Movement is it's about The People sending a message. The People don't know about the Fed and it's control but the Fed and the Government sees this and they know The People are getting pissed off. And when you get right down to it the 10th protects The People because The People are the state and so while our elected Repsresentatives may have made this "agreement" the people really did not and will not care at the end of the day and will take back their rights either through diplomacy or force.

The people

The method presented above is to get the courts to honor your claim for Constitutional protection. The courts will only honor the "Contracts" of the various entities that have incorporated. If you come at them within their contract you will not have standing to make any claim counter to their will. Negate those "Corporate Contracts" and they cannot latch you into their "Contract" venue. The courts will have to honor your claim for Constitutionally guaranteed rights as long as you avoid those "Corporate Contracts". Fundamental Law of the Constitution prevents usurping of your rights as long as you stay out of those "Statutory Venues" created by the Fed and the States.

Again, force your City Counsel to advise your City Councilpersons as to why the Town is administering the peoples monies under the guise of a "Municipal Corporation" instead of a Trust. Your "Municipal Corporation" is subject to Federal mandates. A trust is not. The town has to follow Federal mandates in order to receive Federal funds, the money for which, they latched the towns citizens into their "Income Tax Scheme" to acquire in the first place. No contract! No Liability to the Fed for the "Income Tax" and no infringement of your rights to determine your own method of governing persuant to the Constitutions of the State and the United States.

It seems to me a simpler process for us to approach our local governments to correct the situation. Un-incorporate your town and you have the "Legal" right to throw out the unconstitutional Federal infringements that we and our towns face. Then do the same to the Counties and States.

I agree but

When an armed militia or citizenry stands up per the Declaration of Independence - it will not matter much.
