In line with Ron Paul's libertarian philosophy, we are all entitled to our opinions, however it is becoming increasingly apparent the possible disparity in research and acquired knowledge of some of the forum participants.
You are telling us that Ron Paul, perhaps the strongest and only voice in DC speaking out about the FED and against the Central Merchant Bankers is not dangerous and that the ilk that controls and directs the vast majority of commerce and policy on this planet is not going to be concerned about Ron’s truth? You are talking about the interlocking dictatorships of multi-national corporations that have incestuous Boards of Directors comprised of the people pulling the strings. FYI, elites assassinated JFK. Take the time to research his speeches related to the power of the Central Banks and elite. Most of the countless assassinations throughout history have been to silence someone perceived as a threat by whatever entity is in power at the time. I suggest doing some homework or reading assignments similar to what Ron offered to Rudy during the Republican primary campaign. This is not conspiracy, simply reality. Ron Paul and those of us who understand his truths can be perceived as a threat to a lot of powerful people.
One can only hope that when you finally realize how powerfully orchestrated and well oiled the ruling elite's efforts are, you will not already be in a FEMA camp! Our constitution has been eviscerated and there is constant challenge to free speech in our country. Your ignorance is astounding unless you are just trying to create controversy out of perhaps boredom. If you do not think your /our fellow citizens are not being punished for opening their mouths or challenging authority and the growing police state, you are either having a diminished acuity of senses, or like I said before, just trying to get a rise out of the rest of us. Perhaps your comments can be viewed more as bringing a good bit of entertainment value to the forums, what with your combative and lively banter, but I suspect there are a lot of people who might agree you have a lot of homework to do. We all want more friends in Liberty, so I am sure many of us would be happy to point you in the direction of some useful educational materials if you are truly interested.

Why they let him live.
Because he lost to their transparent manipulation of the campaign and election.
They believe he and his followers are essentially powerless and serve as an example to others who would try to change the system of the futility of such an attempt. He's on display to help keep the sheep in the flock.
Also: The faction-fighting in the R party is good for the powers-that-be. Leaving him alone enables its continuation and growth.
But his ideas are still spreading and (as far as I can see) his campaign is still growing. At this rate we'll eventually become big enough to move-and-shake things. If nothing else the primary campaign for the next congressional election cycle should be a moment of truth.
Just before we become big enough to swing real power is when I worry about Ron becoming a target.
We have to be prepared to keep going - indeed, to escalate - if we lose him.

You mean of not being re-elected? That's a risk sure, but I wouldn't say it's of "enormous proportion." Its not like he'll end up on the streets if he doesn't get re-elected.
I agree he's courageous, but not from a risk perspective. He's courageous simply for having the self esteem to say what he believes even he has to stand alone as the odd man out to say it.

If you mean they will assassinate him, that's doubtful. When was the last assassination in the US? That would be idiotic of them because it would make him a martyr. Plus I don't think there is any proof that they operate this way, other than some conspiracy nuts who see hidden shadows everywhere.

I have to agree with Fedor
I do have a fear for Dr. Paul, and feel his talking must grind on their nerves, sure many of them have wanted a way to shut him up, but yes he is a hero that has morals, character and stands a head above all in Washington, but we do need to pray for God to protect him. I am setting aside money for the Ron Paul for President 2012 money bomb. I can only pray that by the next election we will have enough people fed up with the dishonesty and greed and will want a real change and will be on our side.

And where have you been? Ron Paul was considered to be such a threat they tried to ban him from primary debates, they wouldn't allow him to speak at the state and national conventions and his supporters were smeared at every opportunity. In my state, a McCain campaign worker openly admitted steps were being taken by both the national and state party leadership to make sure no Ron Paul national delegates would be elected. Assassination would be a last resort of course, but both he and his supporters faced a great deal of resistance and hostility, and still do, which indicates to me he is indeed considered a threat, and so are we.

In the U.S. you can criticize all you want. It's protected free speech. You won't get arrested or shot by the government or so-called "elites" for speaking your mind. Everyone can feel safe advocating the abolition of the Federal Reserve. It's not risky at all. Dr. Paul is not in any physical danger for speaking his mind and he knows it.

Frank helped Bernake at that point when he abruptly interjected during Dr. Paul's speech.
