To pit our man against the president pretty much states that they were really the only two in contention and to see Dr. Paul be a tough guy is ok by me too. He is the toughest in my opinion. I'd be willing to be he could beat Obama in a fight or definitely in a mental battle, no doubt about it. Obama seems like lyin' wimp to me.

I've seen this cover now a few times now, and I think it is pretty stupid. Who is the intended audience? At the moment, Obama is just about the most popular man in the country. He is seen smiling benevolently from the cover of just about every magazine on the stands.

It is fine to challenge him, but not physically. I doubt that Ron Paul would approve of this, considering he is a very peaceful man, as quiltingsando pointed out below. Ron Paul's hero's are Gandhi and MLK, who both endorsed non-violence. Imagine how ridiculous it would look to have Gandhi or MLK in a fighting pose like that.

Whoever designed this cover, and whoever approved it doesn't really seem to know much about Dr. Paul at all. It was done with an eye toward sensationalism rather than truth, which is very disappointing.

The picture is all wrong -- the "Obama" character looks menacing and hostile -- a sterotypical image of "black rage" and "irrationality."

Now -- if it was the good Doctor and Bernarke then that would have been more fitting -- however, I also agree with your premise that RP would disapprove as a pacifist.

but Ron Paul is such a PEACEFUL man. I think it would be better to mention it is a battle of the minds. But what do I know if it gets people to talk and discuss things then more power to you. Good luck.
