Hey folks...temporary off-shore living is a great option.

If all we follow daily is to be believed ( and it is ! ) ...and even part to become a reality ( and it will " is " ) ... many folks ( especially those now residing in inner city areas ) might start seriously thinking of saving your asses !

Some say head for the hills...I agree...but what mountains ???

I wish to recommend Costa RIca...as I have for 23 yrs...and for good reason...NO MILITARY...NO TERRORIST HYPE...NO IRS !!!
Now then...as if that weren't enough...let me add, private property owership ( 100% ) and a climate you must experience to believe !

I've assisted other offshore-pats to find REAL peace & prosperity. I have over 20 yrs. studing real estate law & development regulations. With successful residential projects completed and ongoing sub-division projects for sale...there is lots, parcels and farms in most all price ranges from $17.750 up. We also have farms in production ( fruits & coffee & reforestation ) and if desired we plant land to order.

Excellent farms with Pacific ocean views and giant waterfalls with hydro-electric potential...perfect for group survival or communal living. Prime forest with tropical hardwood for cabins etc. Very fertile soil for gardening and nursery use. Raise tilapia etc. etc.
arms with micro-climates from sub-tropical to the highlands.

My friends...it's now or never for a "safe and orderly" relocation.

P.S.
Don't be strayed to other shady countries either. I have heard people call for relocation to Mexico ( now nearing civil revolt ) and Ecuador ( with FARC in the north and Sendeo Iluminoso in the south...always problems and unrest ). I suggest you do your homework before jetting off to the jungle.
Even tranquil Costa Rica has areas and certian locations that I do not recommend for new comers to the language & culture.

Well fellow peace seekers...the truth is...It's time to review plan B !

Lighting a Fire of Freedom in the Heart of the Americas

R3volution Consultants is proud to announce that we have been retained to develop fund-raising and internet capacity for Partido Movimiento Libertario de Costa Rica (Libertarian Movement Party of Costa Rica or PML)

Founded in 1994, PML stands alone as the most successful libertarian party anywhere in the world. They currently hold 6 of 52 seats in the Asamblea Legislativa (the Costa Rican congress) and received almost 10% in the last presidential election.

Thanks to a strange situation in Costa Rica whereby the other 4 significant parties are ALL running to the left in the congressional and presidential elections scheduled for the first week of February 2010, the PML is in a position to make considerable gains, possibly even becoming the official opposition party or winning the presidency outright.

Such an event would reverberate throughout the international libertarian community and provide us with our first example of viable, practical libertarianism electoral success.

We call on our freedom-loving brothers and sisters in the United States and around the world to support the efforts of the PML in the coming year as we seek to light a fire of freedom in the heart of the Americas.

Please visit the English-translated version of the PML website to learn more. http://translate.google.com/translate?prev=hp&hl=en&u=http%3....

In the coming months, R3volution Consultants will be providing specific actions that international libertarians can take to aid in this important project to establish a libertarian nation only two hours by air from Miami. But don't wait for us, begin spreading the word about this exciting opportunity now. For more information, feel free to contact us don@r3voultionconsultants.com.

Post more information. I've looked at it from time to time. Maybe this will be the year to seriously take a trip there and get the lay of the land.

What areas should we look into and avoid?

What are the biggest problems you've experienced since you moved there?

Hell...

I couldn't even get a job at Home Depot or Lowes back in Florida...solely because I don't speak fluent spanish!! I've moved to the mountains now, and guess what? There aren't any jobs here, either...the folks talk funny, but at least it's English!
I'm curious; how would anyone earn a living in CR? Is it a totally agrarian society?

Wherever you live

learn to disconnect from the grid. We don't have to be slaves to the masters. Sure, if you want to fly a commercial plane, you might have to take your shoes off, but do like I do, wear flip flops. In your face TSA! We act like it's un-natural to go without power, tv, freeways, moon landings, etc. Can you remember your Grandparents or GGrands, living on thier own little piece of the planet? They didn't give a rats ass to go into town anyway. They kept their money in a mason jar, seed in the barn, and protein in the smokehouse.

COWARD, STAND AND FIGHT

X

2Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

As I know you claim to be a

As I know you claim to be a Christian, I will offer that the Bible has three kinds of examples of how to respond to a situation like this -- namely fight, stand, or hide.

Fight - The Old Testament is replete with examples of those who fought: Gideon, David, etc. It should never be done out of anger but to oppose evil.

Stand - Daniel, his three friends and the fiery furnace and Jesus himself at the cross are good examples. This is peaceful protest where you refrain from giving in, but as Jesus said nothing against his accusers and allowed himself to be taken to the cross, you do not seek to harm your fellow man.

Hide - Yes, there are many examples where God called people to leave an area and hide from persecution. Jesus himself disappeared when the people were preparing to stone him. Paul was smuggled out of a dangerous city. David ran and hid from Saul. These were not cowardly men, but they followed prudence and God's guidance to avoid a costly and unwise confrontation.

Because the Bible contains commands and examples of each of these three scenarios, I believe that they all can and are valid responses as you feel led. If you heart and motives are pure, you should follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. If you feel you must fight and can do so while bringing honor to God, do so. If you do not feel that you should use violence, but you want to resist evil, stand with confidence that you are standing for righteousness. And if you feel led to protect yourself and your loved ones, then seek a safe haven and weather the storm.

The most important thing to remember is this: not everyone has the same calling. Some will be called to fight, some to stand, some to hide -- all will be so called by God. We should not look down on anyone for their decision as long as they do so with a clear conscience. At this time, I feel that it is most prudent for me to seek the protection of my family until such time as I feel that God would have me stand or fight. We must all prayerfully seek that which God would have us to do and to encourage each other in our respective choices.

did these men say run away and hide in another country?

http://www.chuckbaldwinlive.com/read_blackregiment.html

http://www.chuckbaldwinlive.com/c2006/cbarchive_20060822.html

...remember, these men took this stand in the knowledge of a king who ran the greatest empire of the world at the time, would come against them.

2Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

If you embrace violence instead of education

they will take you out using a fricking remote controlled plane. How many of those do YOU have? Lets get serious. We win if we wake up millions through knowledge, not by engaging in violence.

no one has called for violence...yet...

don't put words in other peoples mouths. there are many ways to "fight". Running away from the conflict is not one of them!

2Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

let's take a lesson from the man mahatma

How's that workin' for ya?

Got any babies in your family?

A question for you

I thought about CR for a bit, but you know, I have problems with...

25% flat tax on income of what... $15-$16K USD or more, right?

The govt. owns & operates the power, telecom, and cable TV operations, correct?

Govt. mandated insurance for all. What's the rate on those? I've seen different numbers. Care to comment on them?

I haven't seen anything on property taxes though. Is this what you're referring to when you claim '100%' ownership of property? If so, I can see where this'd be better than the US.

How's the situation with drugs? As in, what's the laws and enforcement like for marijuana? As a member of the C4, isn't the govt. in CR pretty much one of the US govt. corp's good lapdogs in Central America?

No answers yet.

I'm serious, I'm curious to know what your opinion is about the issues I've raised. Care to comment, or do you really have nothing to say about any of them?

Have you come up with a better place

So hard to get all the ducks in a row. No country fits our bill.

No, I haven't, nor do I want to. I want here to be that place.

There's not a country on this planet that doesn't force its subjects to pay up at the end of the barrel of the gun, period.

Running away will never solve the problem. Being completely passive will never solve the problem. Ignoring the problem certainly doesn't make it go away either.

The problem is that there are psychopaths in this world willing to kill you to make you work for them so they don't have to work themselves, and that they've convinced most of you that they're 'necessary' to make 'society' work.

When enough people realize this and stand up to and DEFEND themselves from those psychopaths THEN we will be taking the steps towards a society where everyone's individual rights aren't trampled on and denied for the benefit of others.

Costa Rica is nice but HOT and EXPENSIVE, overpriced now. Ecuador is recommended by International Living as the second best place to go. The prices are still very moderate and so is the climate. I wouldn't recommend Mexico either. You have private property in Ecuador and the food is incredible. Don't bad mouth something you know nothing about in your efforts to push your agenda.

Second best place

What is the first?

Wrong again friend...I lived in Colombia & Ecuador before CR !

Just review the news...look at the political history of both countries. Be real friend...I heard you hour long program of propaganda for Ecuador on the GCN too...mostly mis-informed dribble.

Do you think CR doesn't have good fresh fruits & veggies...ha...ha...ha. Also the "expensive Costa Rica" you refer to is the "Gringo" version. I live in the mountains outside of the capital & touristy areas.

I know you took a trip to Ecuador...and spent a few weeks playing survivalist...but I have spent over 27 yrs. in Latin America and I tell you, you are sadly mistaken in many of your views and assumptions about living on a "Permanent" basis.

There is a difference between "advertizing" and information to counter-balance the errored and aften "dangerous" recommendations given by people who actually do have ( or I assume they do to have hr. long radio shows that cover one topic ( Ecuador ) an agenda for profit.

If this is offensive to any other fellow RP'er ... forgive me. If n the other hand folks are pleased to receive the info...I'm forgiven !!!!!!
