Ticker

The entire time that Ron Paul is speaking, the stock market ticker keeps going down as if to emphasize and reenforce everything he said.

to all who took exception to the work "Mortified"

Lighten up!

Maybe the word is not so commonly used in the US as it is here in Canada.

I would love to take credit, because I think its appropriate, but the credit goes to Steve Watson whom I quoted and he is a fine journalist.

I am guessing the reaction of these announcers was as much for their boss as anyone.

Priceless

The freudian slip

by the anchor is pretty funny (substandard).

Actually I think the reverse. I think this is part of a pro-paul conspiracy. I think the anchors intended to cacth bernanke, but then a tech went ahead and flipped to the live feed (note the subheader said "Paul: Can't recapitalize by printing money).

I think we have a friend/s in CNBC, no matter what the talking heads say.

We have friends

We have friends everywhere.

If I was the tech you can bet that the best of Ron Paul would constantly be slipping onto the airwaves, but in an inconspicuous way so that it would not be seen as being done purposely.

...

Yes, we have friends

Yes, we have friends everywhere. I was doing my usual web research in such far flung left field areas as a forum about the Hollow Earth Theory and found people talking about Ron Paul.

There Are

More of US than THEM.

I agree!

Thats how I saw it also! ( posted below)
"SOMEONE at CNBC allowed Ron Paul to finish when they COULD have interrupted him well before! I don't think it was by mistake..perhaps we have a friend at CNBC in the control room!!"

Agreed

How does that 'country' song go? We've got friends in low places?

I'm mortified that ridiculous conspiracy theories

like this are being associated with Ron Paul.

If they didn't want Dr. Paul heard they would have cut him off, but they didn't. They cut off the NEXT speaker, THEN made the comment.

This is paranoia, pure and simple. They say Paul supporters are crazy. Maybe they're right.

Ummmm....are you aware?

Are you aware that Bloomberg did the exact same thing, muting Paul to go to the talking heads, at the exact same time? Oh...wait a minute..."coincidence right?

They were probably getting the same feed.

All satirical sites

(obamaforum) & conspiracy theories aside, can you say what the Rubicon project is doing & web bugs such as Revenue Science, Tacoda, DoubleClick, Quantcast, Omniture, etc.,etc.? Are they simply tracking you for statistics, marketing purposes, dissent, or all the above?

Ah, Flame, give it a rest

The old pattern of you simply saying the opposite of everyone else is just plain silly. The anchor clearly suggested what RP said was not important. Of course we all know what he said was incredibily important. The anchor's comments were not an accident. Just another example of the curtain being pulled back a little and exposing the bias. That simple..

Your ignorance is astounding. Why keep flaunting it? No one takes you seriously. Go read a book, or SOMETHING. You have much to learn grasshopper.

No it is not

People react to threats. Groups react to threats. It's that simple.

Far from being a paranoid or

Far from being a paranoid or a determinist, the conspiracy analyst is a praxeologist; that is, he believes that people act purposively, that they make conscious choices to employ means in order to arrive at goals. Hence, if a steel tariff is passed, he assumes that the steel industry lobbied for it; if a public works project is created, he hypothesizes that it was promoted by an alliance of construction firms and unions who enjoyed public works contracts, and bureaucrats who expanded their jobs and incomes. It is the opponents of "conspiracy" analysis who profess to believe that all events – at least in government – are random and unplanned, and that therefore people do not engage in purposive choice and planning.-Rothbard

Mortified, yes.

I agree with the original poster.

This reaction was weird and incongruent. Saying things are out of control and shuffling around and getting all disheveled is not normal. And then slamming Ron Paul as being "unimportant", for what reason? Why the extra bullshit editorial?

Here's a normal reaction: [Calm demeanor and posture]

" I guess we got Ron Paul when we meant to get Bernankes opening remarks. W'ell have to take a quick break and get back to you with that."

Not: [bodies writhing around the set]
Its out of control in here! This is not going as planned. W'ell be back when something important comes on.

Conspiracy or not. These are ass holes who at the very least showed disrespect and strange behavior.

Then again, maybe they were worried

That they may lose their job when CNBC makes cuts. Now is not the time to screw up at work.

I can see this is going

I can see this is going nowhere! I wish everyone would think before they react. everything is an f'in conspiracy. I am really sick of it.

Anyone remember the little boy that cried wolf? Why not save the conspiracy stuff for when it is completely obvious?

This was not a conspiracy

Because technically, nothing illegal was done; agreed, Patriot?

Don't forget folks, for you to get a conspiracy charge, you must have 2 or more people working towards some illegal result - and there has to be some other crime, or tort involved. You can't just have a conspiracy with no underlying crime.

Let's not make things worse on ourselves by calling "conspiracy" when there is nothing going on that resembles the legal definition of it. It doesn't help that they seem to be trying to change what the word really means.

On the other hand, if we could ever get a FAIR trial (impossible in this country, I know), there's no doubt in my mind that we could collect enough evidence to get Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rockefellers, Morgans, Clintons and the whole lot of them for "conspiracy to commit treason", "conspiracy to defraud", "conspiracy to commit murder" on 9/11, and so on.

That's what's so funny about the MSM; it's so blatantly obvious that the "official story" of what happened on 9/11 perfectly describes a conspiracy of 19+ arabs to commit murder..but they never, ever use the word to describe what the arabs were supposedly doing on 9/11...I guess they don't want to use the word in its proper context, lest the sheeple start using it to properly identify the real conspiracies going on around them..and it's even funnier when they stick the word "theory' on the end of it; like that means suddenly it's not real or something...I've never heard of someone using the phrase "fraud theory" or "murder theory" when someone is accused of something, and before it is proven in a court of law. And outside mathematics, a theory is a very high level of proof and way of explaining things...they sure seem to accept the "theory of evolution" and "theory of relativity" as truth.

Or perhaps it goes like this:

The Patriot and I get together and decide to rob a bank and take money that doesn't belong to us out of it...that's a "conspiracy".

Rockefeller and Rothschild get together and decide to take the money out of the bank that you deposited there...what do we call it now?? INTEREST? fractional banking? a conspiracy "theory"??

It's like, it's ok to notice and expose the "little" conspiracies, but we're conditioned to ignore the bigger ones as just some "theory".

Does this make sense, or am I just off on some irrelevant rant?

Good comments. We just need

Good comments.

We just need to think and be smarter before we react. It really does make it easy for the MSM to make us look stupid and foolish.

weren'r these MSM minions the ones here

Weren't these MSM minions the ones here who looked stupid and foolish? It is just that they are not used to working without a script.

Oh no. Something real just happened. What should we do? Quick. We sound stupid. Go to break? Yes that's it.
Hmmm I bet they all had a stiff drink after work.
They were so out of their depth. They are trained to do what they are told. Looking good in Makeup and reading script are their important skills. What do you suppose they took in college?

What are Journalism/Media studies these days? My cousin majored in journalism studies in university and he did brilliantly. He told the truth and he did investigations. He is very funny, the class clown always. He was great at the university/academic level, and they should have been lining up to hire him. He can't get a mainstream job. He won't capitulate. They won't hire anyone who even knows what that word means.

cw

Conspiracy????

No. Some people just have to yell that word if they open their mouth. This was a clear cut (completely obvious) case of the reporters having shown a clip they did not intend to show and they sure wish they hadn't. They didn't want to show Dr. Paul. Pure and simple.

I like the way

You made your points.

Yeah..they were

Yeah..they were mortified..because Ron Paul is never on the news..This is the first time he's spoken in front of millions...It's true they blacked hiim out during the race..but he's been on almost daily since..I don't think they are too worried about it anymore...mortified..c'mon guys..
