And it's not just with the real id, or whatever labels they're slapping on it these days, the hidden jargon in the stimulus', gun bills, etc.
Looking into Internet 2, I personally think if implemented, it will close up any gaps. From my understanding on it, they plan on having it fully functional by 2011. I read that a test run on it's performance was ran during the 08 Olympics.

The Lying bastards in Government said they'd dropped Real ID, and now napolotiano (sp?) has reinstated the same program under the name "enhanced Driver's License" with an ADDITIONAL requirement of having an RFID (tracking) chip in the license. Just like the bailout, if the first one is rejected, they slap a new name and a worse program with it.
