First Time Ever

That I heard the truth from a cenral banker. Voelker was the most specific in his answers to Paul's questions that I have heard so far. Bernanke likes to play tennis with Paul.

A real tea party...

As much as I would like to see Ron Paul tea bag each and everyone of the members of congress until they understood what is going on, I know it would be quiet difficult, he could only potato sack them. Ron Paul is the Chuck Norris of Congress! By the way, did anyone catch what Chuck Norris said about Ron Paul last night on the Glenn Beck show? (2-26-09)

Too bad he supported Huckabee...

ruined a lot o' Chuck Norris jokes for me.

I support Chuck's plan

Now that's change I could believe in! Sign me up for the Chuck-tocracy. Can't be worse than what we got. And Chuck kick'n @ss has always been entertaining!

I had heard the...

...Chuck Norris thing before on another talk show, but it is more excellent every time I hear it :).

He sounds like he

He sounds like he understands things more than Bernanke.

Absolutely. I think he

Absolutely. I think he actually showed some concern about a fiat system, and acknowledged that you better pay attention to it.

I think he recognized that

I think he recognized that our current system is destined to fail. He is just discreet about what it should be replaced by. He doesn't want to voice his opinions on the matter. At least he bowed his head in the presence of the good Dr..

Well Done Dr. Paul.

That was a very good dialog between those two. I think Dr. Paul earned a lot of respect with his questions and Volcker was rather honest and respectful in turn. And the fact that Volker admits that the fiat currency is an issue is an amazing step for this debate.

Good job Dr. Paul. Keep it coming. We need more like you in Congress.

Born 1978. Woken 2007.

I agree. Dr. Paul is single-handedly

rocking the course of history, just one individual in the temple of the Empire telling the truth, facing down the pols, getting them to admit basic reality behind all their obfuscation. And doing it with a soft-spoken style, and a smile at the end.

How long are we....

supposed to put up with people who are so blatently lying? Voelker could have been 16 & telling his Dad he was studying at the library til after midnight on Friday - right.

This is our country, & they're ruining it.
I call it Treason.

Dr. Paul.

In my opinion, Ron Paul should be sitting in Mr. Volcker's chair.

beesting

He should be sitting in

He should be sitting in Barack Obama's chair!

RIGHT!

I AGREE!

Wow, he admitted a new

Wow, he admitted a new monetary policy should be debated. Just like the Republicans allowed debate about foreign policy. Oh wait, there was no debate.

Wish

Dr. Paul could have had about 10 more minutes with him. He would have cracked like a nut, maybe even cried.

he did at least admit

he did at least admit publicly that everyone uses funny money...

Sounded like it.

Now i just want to hear how exactly they calculate what "means of living" is AND how it is deterministically set in stone using a sliding funny money scale.

That won't happen directly though because that would "mean" that it would be outed that they think of all of us slaves. When the accurate details get out about how much an hour of human activity is REALLY worth. We will see that the TRUE AND ACCURATE "means" is being withheld at an enormous rate of imbalance.

Once people realize this, the last crash will happen. Money is through.

Dr. Paul

i never get tired of listening to you.

The slogan press on has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race. No person was ever honored for what he received. Honor has been the reward for what he gave.

- Calvin Coolidge

A little Tricky?

Translation: A lot CRIMINAL!

Volker....they always return to the scene of the crime....

Just proves Barack doesn't know shit...when he brings back the same level of talent and stupidity that helped create what will become known as the cause of the unravelling of America and the global markets.

Volker is the "bail-out go-to guy".

What do you mean?

Volker was the one Fed chief who was willing to do the politically incorrect, to prevent inflation. During the Reagan administration, and with Reagan's support, he jacked up interest rates knowing it would cause a recession, in order to eliminate inflation.

(born 1927) In 1952 he joined the staff of the Federal Reserve Bank of
New York as a full-time economist. He left that position in 1957
to become a financial economist with the Chase Manhattan
Bank. In 1962 he joined the U.S. Treasury Department as
director of financial analysis, and in 1963 he became deputy
under-secretary for monetary affairs. He returned to Chase
Manhattan Bank as vice president and director of planning in 1965.

From 1969 to 1974 Mr. Volcker served as under-secretary of the Treasury for international monetary affairs. He played an
important role in the decisions surrounding the U.S. decision to
suspend gold convertibility in 1971, which resulted in the collapse
of the Bretton Woods system. In general he acted as a moderating influence on policy, advocating the pursuit of an international
solution to monetary problems. After leaving the U.S. Treasury,
he became president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York
from 1975 to 1979, leaving to take up the chairmanship of the
Federal Reserve in August 1979.

A VOTE of Confidence on any person who has been...

A vote of confidence on any individual who has been buddies and ties with the current crisis with out any objection needs to be thrown out of their position and replaced with people who know what a true public servant is and what they are accountable to.
The constitution and declaration of independence are specific guidelines for the U.S.A. and the U.S.A. alone. This is the job description for the public servants of this country.
Volcker is not able to look congressman Paul in the eye. Volcker has been purchased and stamped by the same group the feds and current administration are. Evil.
Thankyou once again Dr.Paul for representing the free people of the States Of America.
By the way. Ron Paul is looking classier and more professional then I've seen him look. I'd say he has a presidential look about him. Dont you think? ;)

Very interesting exchange.

Very interesting exchange.

Wow

At the end of the vid Volker basically mummbles the truth. Interesting.

Volcker body language

I haven't seen Paul Volcker speak much. Does he always look down when he answers a question? He doesn't seem like he's referring to notes or reading a script. It just seems like he is avoiding the question and is hiding something.
