OMG Rush Limbaugh at CPAC
Submitted by ShineTheLight on Sun, 03/01/2009 - 00:29
Good grief. The guy is talking forever and the crowd is so totally pumped.
Until someone explains to a crowd like this that these people SOUND like real constitutional patriots but in fact will bring in another Bush, then the people are going to obviously be deceived.
What is to be done?
»

The Biggest Joke is CPAC Gave
him the 'Defender of the Constitution' award. It appears the CPAC committee does't know too much about the Constitution? Rush backed the illegal wars, the Patriot Act, the torture being used, the criminal activities of using Executive privileges to cover up crimes, and he never called out Bush for not protecting our borders, which Bush took an oath to follow Constitutional laws. His biggest mistake, which really cost the GOP, was he didn't stand up to Bush's increase in government or his runaway spending. If Rush would of acted as a 'Defender of the Constitution' early on he might of been able to thwart much of the liberal fiscal governance, and the fascist practices Bush displayed. But, he would of never have gotten his $200 million contract, for being the 'water carrier'. Anybody who has any sense knows 'talk show' host get paid by the amount of advertisment the station brings in, and there is no way they are gaining that much revenue to get paid that amount. He as well as most of the so called conservative 'talk show' hosts really are now more of a hinderece, because they create division, by their constant attack on liberals, rather than talking about the ways of how real 'Conservatism and Constitutionalism' can make our country great again.
Holy jokes!
Bill Hick's rant on Rush Limbaugh is sooooo Awesome!
(RIP genius)
Obama = O.ne B.ig A.ss M.istake A.merica
Rush is awesome! So is Mitt Romney
I love Rush! Mitt Romney also gave a GREAT speech! Yep, my wallet is now open BIG TIME for Mitt Romney. He sounds just like Ronald Reagan.
Rush
is NOT a good face for the GOP, they would be wise to stay away.
Rush Limbaugh...
is a narcotic eating big fat idiot.
Other than that He's great.
So....
tell us what you really think....LOL
Rush is one
Of the biggest threats to a liberty minded candidate there is. There are millions of individuals who will only vote for who this guy says to.
My Blog
one retarded nation under surveilance
is what they want to be. All you patriots prepare yourselves to survive as well as you can.
Rush is a Pimp for...
the welfare/warfare state. I don't care how entertaining he is (and he is), he is still a water carrier for the neocon state. He should be a Ron Paul supporter but he is not. That should tell you all you need to know. Obama is so bad, he makes Rush sound good. He has discredited himself with many people - including me.
THERE'S NO DEBATE ON RUSH
Rush supported Bush -- Bush and the Fed gave us our current debacle -- Bush continued with Clinton's Police State -- and Rush was there the whole way cheering them on by suggesting to Americans that a Yang Big Gov't solution was better than a Yin Big Gov't solution.
Not Rush
Not Savage
Not Hannity
Not Dobbs
Not O'Reilly
Not Beck
Not one of them supports "perpetual liberty" they support Big Gov't - Fed Reserve created occilations in business cycles and perpetual debt-slavery.
Done!

I think I am going to stop putting my thoughts into what party to belong to and just give it up to wherever the right guy is, I'll be there for him. I think I have decided to stop labeling myself period. If we create a platform, we alienate someone. We exclude a great candidate from running with us because he disagrees on a particular issue. My party would probably simply be the anti-CFR party. If given no other choice, I would vote Kucinich rather than vote for a CFR puppet. Yep, I am perfectly happy being foot loose. Now on to finding the candidate for 2012 who will take Dr. Paul's place if Dr. Paul really won't do it.
What I read below is the problem. If you can follow Rush and then vote your own conscience and not the way he tells you to, then great. But most will vote the way he tells them to because he will help the msm drum out the good guy. Sure he says everything we want to hear. That is his job, not entertaining as so many people think. He is suppose to get in front of the herd and make it look like he totally understands them, hook them and lead them then to the CFR, globalist candidate that has been chosen to represent the right.
I like Rush..
... He did a Fantastic job at CPAC. I wish Dr. Paul was as good a speaker. In nearly 2 decades of listen to his show, he was often the only voice that made me feel sain. I have never heard Rush say a single negative thing about Dr. Paul. Other than the Iraq War, I don't see much difference between their philosophy. So Rush doesn't talk about the Federal Reserve, he does have a radio audience to entertain. Personally, I feel too many people here spend their time looking for False Dragons to sley. MEGA DITTOS EL RUSHBO!
He's an actor!
"He did a Fantastic job at CPAC." -- You know he is an actor, right? Give him an Emmy, but not a political party. He can't have a solid foundation because he shifts constantly. But...he's a great performer, I find him hilarious.
"Other than the Iraq War, I don't see much difference between their philosophy." -- this is where I'm starting to think you are just being satyrical. If you are - pretty funny. If not, this is about the most obnoxious lie I can think of. Rush doesn't have a philosophy - he is paid by the RNC very well to brainwash sheep, whichever way the wind blows. If he actually had a philosophy that he kept to (other than bashing "liberals") then we could compare.
"In nearly 2 decades of listen to his show, he was often the only voice that made me feel sain. (sane)" --- He is very good - that is what his job is. That is the first goal of brainwashing propaganda, to make the listener feel like they are not alone and right all the time.
Please tell me you were joking! I couldn't tell. If so - you are a grand writer.

the problem with Rush
everything, absolutely everything, is the Democrats fault. He gives the Neos a free pass a thereby misleads his listening audience to the true dilemma. There's not an ounce of difference between Democrats and Republicans. I used to believe Republicans were for limited government and the rule of law; I've just happened to be alive since 1994, now I know better. Socialism and Fascism are one and the same, just masked and packaged differently.

Rush has awakened millions of people.
He even "angers" a few. What? You'd rather have him do a "cooking show?" Chef Rush?
People who never new what the word 'bail out" are now tuning in to alternate news. "Bamm" And Rush may be that for them.
We owe Rush a humantarian medal for providing a sand box for rivals to fight. You always know, that when Rush rings the bell, the fight is on.
And that's everyday, as in everyday, as in wow, what an accomplished person.
Lately, he's been sounding fine to me, except I'd wish he'd tell everybody to take a 3 day water fast and eat raw foods for three weeks after as his sign off quote.
And never forget, “Humans, despite our artistic pretensions, our sophistication and many accomplishments, owe the fact of our existence to a six-inch layer of topsoil and the fact that it rains.”
Limbaugh is first and foremost a Republican NOT a Conservative

Your statement should read “Rush has awakened millions of people… To becoming a Neo-Conservative”... aka Phony Conservative

I say keep spreading the truth about him
Rush Limbaugh: Champion of Big, Powerful Government
who needs to be called out by more of us.
Limbaugh - Champion of Big Powerful Government
Lets look the facts.... this guy is a cheerleader for the Republican party which is far from the conservative party Barry Goldwater and Ron Paul echo
1) He supported the UnPatriot Act -- instead of the 4th amendment growing the Federal Government's power
2) He supports FISA -- allowing the Federal government to tap our phones and email rather then the 4th amendment
3) He supports Pre-Emptive strikes of war rather then the founders -- He is a cheerleader for Using fear.
4) He was on Board with NAFTA -- NAFTA is not free trade, it is Federal government managed trade. Which is power for large corporations to exploit 3rd world countries
5) He does not mention that Bush was the Greatest Socialist ever growing the M1 money supply form 4.136 Trillion in 2000 to 8.1+ Trillion today -- that is not conservative!! It took 230 years to get to 4.136 Trillion and then then Bush almost doubles it 8 years
6) He spent April to November 4th Cheerleading for McCain or as he would say "against Obama" -- Though he never once Supported or talked about Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party
7) He is a cheerleader for the failed war on Drugs growing the Federal Governments role in our lives though he was been busted several times for oxycontin
8) he is for the REAL ID Act of 2005 again growing the power of the Federal government in our lives
9) he Does not say a word about Obama Sending more troops to Afghanistan or him using Drones in Pakistan -- He supports the Bush Doctrine giving the Federal government more power to attack sovereign nations
10) He is For torture Techniques rather then for providing Habeas Corpus for all people.
11) He is silent on FEMA camps growing yet again the power of the federal government -- He does not use his voice to call for a halt of this
12) he is supportive of Bush and Obama's renewal of Faith based initiatives giving the Federal Government more power to determine marriage and other social matters -- This is a States Right -- somebody should hand him the 10th amendment and force him to Read it Out loud.
13) He is silent on the Federal Reserve which the Largest taxer in America.
14) He is a supportive of the US tax payers propping up Israel, Pakistan and other nations who then use this money to create us an even larger headaches down the Road. Israel is not the 51 state of the USA and they are entitled to no more money that the people of India -- See Rush does not believe in diplomacy he believes in bribes and that is why you also know he is in the pocket of the AIPAC --- Diplomacy is second after the bribes.
15) where is he leading people against the IRS? silent again
What does Rush use his voice for?
He uses it for talking about Rush...... and playing Phony Left v. Right politics which is a mirage --
Rush is not against "Growing" Government as long as the government grows as he wants it to Grow
--- Knowing this he cannot be considered a conservative or a classical liberal in the sense of the Founding fathers -- He is a Republican with a talk show

The same goes for Hannity
Savage, FOX, CNN, CNBC and the rest. All government fronts. Thanks for posting that.

Hopefully the liberals can
Hopefully the liberals can sufficiently discredit Rush enough so that he will be a non-factor in brainwashing people during the 2012 GOP race.

Seems like you got him nailed!

That's true about NAFTA.
I remember Al Gore was front man for selling NAFTA, and Ross Perot went on television attempting to shoot NAFTA down. It was at that point, I believe, that Limbaugh started depicting Perot as a Looney Tunes flake. I remember thinking: "Why is Rush Limbaugh defending something Al Gore is peddling? This can't be good for the country."
Bottom line on all this, though: Almost everything cited above could be summed up with three letters: 'G. O. P.'.
Rather than letting the GOP die a slow death, as it deserves to, many in the Campaign for Liberty and this movement want to revitalize it, by channeling our energies and forces into the GOP in a supposed move of 'infiltration'.
What will happen then, in my opinion, is not that the Republican Party will be controlled by Ron Paul people. Ron Paul people will be controlled by the Republican Party. All they have to do is throw the faithful a bone every now and then while continuing to let the neo-cons control the party behind the scenes.
I have not yet heard a single logical argument for infiltrating the GOP. Instead I have heard that it's 'cowardice' not to do so (WTF..?), that's 'it's easy to do it', and that 'we are winning that fight already--get off your computer and do something'.
Hoopla, in other words. I used to hear this sort of stuff in High School, when I wasn't able to successfully sneak out of the afternoon Pep Rally.

Lol, I like the way you put that!
I agree. Let it die.
Regarding 'infiltrating' it...how is that going to work people? The GOP is terribly uncool with young people (those who we need on our side imo).

What do we do

We are so torn on this issue. Someone needs to make a good case and we go that direction, otherwise both directions will probably fail.
I've started getting involved with the Jefferson Republican Party, and setup shop here in California. If you are interested in contributing or joining the mailing list of this party, let me know. sambavwman(@)yahoo.com
I'd be happy to see the GOP go the way of the whig 'National Republican' party as it's too entrenched with neocons. The CPAC convention pretty much proves this case.
We need some real strategy from C4L, but it does not look like it's going to happen.
The infiltration of a corrupt statist party doesen't seem to make much sense when you can't infiltrate all of the entrenched areas.
Just very torn on this one.

Well, all I can come up with is this.
We need a flagship...a party of our own from which to put forward our beliefs, our platform and our presidential candidate. If individuals want to run for legislative positions using one of the two prevailing political parties, that's perfectly logical, but the Republican Party is not "our party", and anyone who claims otherwise, I feel, is uneducated, and therefore part of the problem.
The GOP is no more 'our party' than the Democratic Party. Pouring our energies into the GOP, in my opinion, is a mistake, especially considering the distractions of our chaotic near future.
If Dr. Paul is speaking the truth when he says he probably won't run again, he's made it easy for me, personally, at least. If Ron Paul doesn't run for President (or Governor), I will never vote Republican again.
But I also do not believe that a new third party is a sustainable idea. It's a great idea, a colorful idea, but I doubt it is capable of achieving any traction. People aren't buying the concept. In my opinion, pursuing it any further is a waste of our time.
That leaves existing third party movements. The three most established at present are:
a.) The Libertarian Party.
b.) The Ralph Nader movement.
c.) The Constitution Party.
I think I vote for the Libertarian Party, despite Bob Barr's embarrassing presence on last year's presidential ballot.
I'm curious which appeals to other people in the movement most.
SUPPORT OUR FOUNDERS' AMERICA
Support the Constitution of the United States
SUPPORT OUR FOUNDERS' AMERICA
Support the Constitution of the United States
WE ALL SHOULD SUPPORT THE CONSTITUTION PARTY
WE ALL SHOULD SUPPORT THE CONSTITUTION PARTY small pieces of socialism will eventually turn into communism
small pieces of socialism will eventually turn into communism
Or perhaps
it leaves Independent. Perhaps we should stop trying to come up with a party and platform and simply throw our support behind the right leader as he comes forward. Perhaps we need to concentrate our efforts on finding the leader and wherever he thinks he fits, we go there, just as we did with Dr. Paul. Perhaps party talk is bogus. Maybe we benefit by stubbornly refusing to be labeled.
