Why?
Because controvery sells a hell of a lot better than truth in America.
Admit it.... Don't you click on the negative headlines first?
I think it's just our human nature.
And the real paradox is, people like to feel like they discovered something for themselves instead of having it 'preached' to them.

I let it go after the campaign not thinking of all the traffic that it generated and someone sucked it up. Ouch.

The concept is working...I learned it raising three kids
They were prone to doing the opposite of what I told them... i.e. "stop fighting". So I'd tell them to go ahead and fight..."then when one of you needs stitches we can go sit in the emergency room and all watch you get sown up with no pain killer." They'd yell at me and stop fighting.

Love grassroots? Continue the Campaign!
The C4L should take this idea and run with it. Stop trying to organize themselves into a lobby group, an educational outreach, or a third party and simply continue the campaign of selling "Ron Paul" as if he WAS running for office. I know he is already a Congressman and has no further desires and that this is not an election year. But how many average Americans know that? Not too many. They'de probably read that bumpersticker and say:
*What? Is it time to vote again?
*Ron Paul is still alive and kicking?
*I wonder what Ron Paul's saying now?
And of course, "I wish I would have voted for him."
Who says we can't have a campaign without an election or a candidate?
Our candidate is the message.
Our messenger is Ron Paul.
He won our election.
We don't need the Presidency.
BTW- I've been a DP member for far longer than an hour, but this is the first post that has screamed for a such huge thumbs up in such a long time, that I had to re-register because I'd forgotten my old password. I hope this idea goes to the Campaign 4 Liberty or is further pursued by good talent.

I nominate NCMarc for the Don't Vote Committee.
The last one is especially powerful because it criticizes our Congressmen whom we CAN influence. At the same time it reinforces the "Bail out" terminology and keeps Ron Paul in the public eye.
