...After seeing many police abuse vids like this in the last 2 years, is not so much the scumbag performing the abuse, but the adjacent officers who stand by and do not intervene to stop it!
There should be a iron clad requirement that any officer that stands by and allows another officer to abuse someone in their care, that officer should immediately stop the abusive officer, or be considered an accessory!
Who watches the watchmen? Who polices the police?

Are you saying that the violence we see on the video
is justified?
The "officer" should face the exact same charge
any 40+ year old man would be charged with if he assaulted a teenage girl on the street. The officer who helped him rather than stopped him should be charged as well..
He should do prison time. The girl was compliant and in her cell, words are not threatening.
This was a violent unprovoked attack by criminal in uniform. He and the other officer who stood by and aided in this attack need prison.
We should be armed with cameras
at all times. It's the only peaceful defense we have against bully cops.

That was on TV the other night. The officer is on administrative leave, I believe it is paid administrative leave, while the issue is being investigated. I'm pretty sure it was one of the detectives or some superior who saw the cc video and brought this issue to light.
The superior (or whoever it was) said on TV that police are supposed to be held to a higher standard, including with incidents like this. I loved hearing someone within a department stating that they should be held to a higher standard.
Maybe this will be yet another officer off the streets, without a job and no more pension!
I think in general police do great things, but I really despise the bad ones!!! Because they are representing us, the people, while they do their crimes.
