A website that might be of interest to some
Hey all, I just wanted to share a website that was recommended to me. It is called www.freecycle.org. It sets people up with others who are looking to give away things they no longer need or use. People also ask for things they would like, if someone is getting ride of it. I know many have fallen on hard times, and this is a great way to share your unwanted stuff, if you are not going to sell it. It is also a way to get somethings you need. You get many emails a day with offers, and you have to pick it up. Some stuff, such as furniture is inside the house, but move leave it thinsg outside. I have not received anything myself, but I am keeping my eye out. Once I am done putting things together for friends who have kids I will freecycle gently used baby stuff. Also, people are supposed to be in your area so the pick up is convenient. Have a great night!

I've been a freecycler for years.
It's wonderful thing, I have given away so much unwanted stuff, and in return gotten some real treasures. Keeps useful items out of landfills, it's fantastic community. I've given clothes, furniture, toys, electronics, and received a brand new bed (!) lovely treasures, plants, jewelry, handbags. I could gush on and on. Join, but do it through yahoo groups, Much easier.

Thanks
I have a mother whose son goes to school with my son who suggested it. She gives away a lot because she has a small house and does not like clutter. I have seen people give away tons of clothes, children stuff, books, TVs, and cooking items. Plus, lots of furniture! We live in a society where people buy and buy, and they have a lot of good "useless" stuff to them. They may also have received presents that they have no use for or simply inherited things that they do not wish to throw away. It is great for those in need and for the environment!

I just wasted 15 minutes
trying to create an account at that site. No email from them containing a password. No nothing. What a joke. Good luck with that.

I knnow my list is through yahoo groups, but it sent me straight there. I am not sure why it did not work for you. I had it ready to go within 10 minutes. I am sorry, hopefully you will try again another time.
