My nice story for today.
I have a very good friend in our neighborhood that has always been a dedicated republican party supporter, convinced that Romney was the man back in the primaries, the war was necessary, and watched FOX news. I tried and tried to convert them to RP but was always met with a cold shoulder. They even voted for McCain in the general elections.
We speak quite often about the situations in our country today. I always pointed out when RP was on the news, and we would occasionally talk about what he said, and I always pointed out where, and how, he was right when everyone else was wrong.
Sometimes they agreed sometimes not.
We were on the phone today talking when I called to seek some real estate advice. The conversation turned to how bad the situation really is, that all of the people they know as current real estate customers, are in, or are about to be in foreclosure, and are hurting worse than ever before. Many of these people, this person once knew as fairly well off upper middle class, but are now in serious financial distress.
My jaw almost hit the floor when I said, "I've said it time and time again, there was only one man that was right and called it all, right on the head, and everybody dogged him," and the reply was "Well, let me tell you, I'm about 50/50 on him now if he runs in 2012."
I was stunned. Shocked. Bewildered in disbelief at what I had just heard. Knowing this person as well as I do, that was one HUGE step. It took a year and half - baby step by baby step - but they had finally begun to understand.
But this was nothing like the surprise I was about to get...
So here I am, happy, excited, ready to pee myself, trying to contain myself, yet remain cool, calm, and collected as we finish the converstion, knowing that someone I thought would never come around, is now truly beginning to see the light and make the crossover, finally realizing the losses of liberty, and beginning to understand who created the grim situation we face. This was a moment I thought would never happen, and frankly, I was quite content with this small advance.
And then the mother of all liberty bombs drops.
"Oh I wanted to tell you about this thing I saw, crap, I should have emailed it to you." "It's like up in Georgia somewhere." "It's this place.." "Ohhh, where is it..." "It's like a..." "There's all these coffins.."
Dudes... I think I almost died right there.
Well....You all know I'm reluctant on conspiracy theories, but to have a diehard party supporting republican, that was once ensnared into the thinking of today's neocon republican party, say both of those things to me in the same conversation, was without a doubt, the Dalai Lama of every "Holy shit!" moment I have experienced in the last 2 years.
Man, I am still stunned.

I think someone who has been going out of their way to make my life hell, is finally waking up to the fact that she has been lied to.
It has cost me several jobs, but there is a possibility that she might just be figuring it out.
If I ever manage to find another source of employment, it sure would be nice not to have to endure the stupid comments and prying questions from co-workers.
Here is to more and more people waking up to a very sad reality.

I've had similar success, but with my immediate family. My mother is an extremely devout Christian and long time "conservative / follows the Republican Party" and my older brother have come a long way since I started talking Ron Paulitics non-stop to them.
However, I still feel disappointed. They both seem to be caught up in the two-party battle still. I always point out that Republicans and Democrats are both big government parties now, that Bush was a terrible president, and that Republicans have no credibility. They respond by they aren't as bad as the Democrats and Obama!
That may be true, but I believe anyone speaking free-market rhetoric while practicing the opposite is MORE destructive to the cause of liberty. Which brings me to the next point. I feel that they, and most people I encounter, tend to have no idea what liberty truly is. I feel like I'm speaking to irrational beings everywhere I go. They may agree with Ron Paul on certain issues and see that he is the only politician worth a damn, but they fail to see the bigger picture.
Am I the only one who is encountering these problems? I don't know what else I can say, do, or recommend for them to read. It is crazy- I feel so enlightened by understanding the full concept of liberty, but feel that my two primary converts fail to have a true understanding...

FEMA has a pile of plastic coffins..that hold 3 people each..lined up on the side of a road..with a so-called fence between them and the road..to stop people from going to them...theres a few government signs..
I do not live in Georgia..but have seen the video on youtube showing them...
It seems..from what I have been hearing..state by state, the trains are rolling in the coffins and off loading them at night.

It is only a matter of time before he starts voting for freedom.
He, I am confident, will remain a democrat, but there will be freedom candidates on the other side as well, before too long. Actually I think there already was a few in the last election cycle.

These so called well off middle class people have always been poor slaves. They are just waking up to it now.
That's great to hear.
Until many people are personally affected, it's very difficult to compete with decades of indoctrination.
Maybe that's why those in control of the government are trying so hard to keep anyone from being affected.

If not from just hearing RP, then from the squeeze they are beginning to feel. Let's hope.
I would be so happy to
have some of the people I talk to wake up. Lord, how I have tried. I have one tell me now when he saw Ron Paul on the news. I think as it gets worse he will come around but man, some people are so thick it is exhausting. Never give up because we need one another. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
