Good News - Sort of...
While I am glad some of the 10th Amendment information is getting out to the public - we have to be VERY CAREFUL of the perception and what they see. This article is the best so far, but the other three I have seen have made this a purely Republican backlash issue against the "stimulus" bill. While there is some political expediency from the current political climate that is understandable and useable, we CANNOT allow this to become a partisan issue.
We must try to get the media to understand this is not just about Obama and money! The only way for it to work is to get a cross-section. Luckily this particular article mentioned No Child Left Behind as well - but it is much more than that. And the guy who made the idiot comment about Reagan....When does he think standardized testing and federal education monies and no bid military contracts happened?
I fear that this is the tactic the media is going to use:
1. Make it purely about political party and money.
2. Use quotes of politicians slamming Obama.
3. Get some "experts" to claim the Constitution has "developed" since it was written - thereby making us appear crazy.
4. Have the Governor's on the news saying crap about "we all must stick together under one rulebook for security, blah blah blah"
And with no Democrat support and no positive and/or truthful media - it dies.
