Have You Watched Zeitgiest? Just Wondering What You Think

I know a lot of Daily Pauler's are very religious. But I am just wondering what you all think about the Zeitgeist Movie. It can be found on www.zeitgeistmovie.com and most of it is available on www.youtube.com. Let me know what you think. At my University, I recently got all my friends to watch it. Does anyone have sources to back up the information about religion, federal reserve, income tax, etc, etc. Also, if you have time, watch the 2nd Zeitgeist, the Addendum, and tell me what you think. I watched both and was sort of awestruck. I don't know what to think or what to believe.

Zeitgeist aims to destroy three pillars of the American Establishment, it's major religion, it's central bank and it's intergity with 911.
To go forward into a NWO, global government, nations must fall, and to fall their foundations must be targeted and this is what Zeitgeist does.
Did you stop to think, "How come in an age of so much censorship this thing is not censered?" It's a tool to convince Americans their lives are based on lies.

I think it's just anarcho-communism
in a modernized form.
Wikipedia says anarcho-communism "advocates the abolition of the state, private property and capitalism in favor of common ownership of the means of production,[1][2] direct democracy and a horizontal network of voluntary associations, workers' councils and/or a gift economy through which everyone will be free to satisfy their needs." Money would be abolished too.
The anarcho-communist Kropotkin said "houses, fields, and factories will no longer be private property, and that they will belong to the commune or the nation and money, wages, and trade would be abolished."

Christians seem to have a problem with the movie cause it upsets their worldview. Personally I say people need to broaden themselves to accept other possibilities of history. The movie lays out a great case for it's conclusions. If that's upsetting to some, I'd say prove the information wrong. If you can do that without quoting from the Bible every 10 seconds to prove your point I'd be impressed.
I really don't think it makes a difference whether Jesus really existed or not. Perhaps channeling a faith in the human spirit to change this world for the better is what we, as a species, need to be concentrated on. If we saw ourselves as being able to change our destinies and quit relying on invisible forces to SAVE us, maybe we'd get further down the road to freedom.
I do in fact respect people who have religious convictions. I think it can serve good purposes for groups of people, e.g. the Amish. It's all about having the freedom to believe what you what and behave how you want to
as long as it doesn't infringe on others.
Puppets come and puppets go but the world's stage is getting cluttered.

Example: Jesus wasn't born on December 25th. Celebrating that date was created by the pagans. No where in the Bible does is say to celebrate Christ's birth.

out that Religion is a form of control.. So, either I'm confused or your hypocritical.

Jesus came to set us free...
He paid the fine for our sins. We can receive His free gift of eternal life. Christianity isn't about control. It's about mankind getting back to the wonderful creator God.
If we love Him we should keep His commandments. The world would be much better if people would stop lying, stealing, and doing evil.

What's bad are the lies
They are trying to link paganism to Christianity. They are using false information to do this. Lies are bad.
Because this movie spent so much time claiming the similarities of horus and other pagan gods to Jesus. They use pagan information and astrology and say Ah Ha here's the link, but you can do that with anything. Both Lincoln and Kennedy have 7 letters in their last name. So does it mean that Kennedy is related to Lincoln? It's a joke. It assumes that there were 3 wise men, but the Bible doesn't say that there were 3 wise men in the scriptures. It mentions 3 gifts.
This movie also tries to make the claim that the Catholic churches pagan ideals, symbolism ,and rituals are somehow proof that Christianity itself is a part of this, nothing could be further from the truth. Lets take December 25th mentioned at least a dozen times in the film. The date of December 25th, which was officially proclaimed by the church fathers in A.D. 440, was actually a vestige of the Roman holiday of Saturnalia, observed near the winter solstice, which itself was among the many pagan traditions inherited from the earlier Babylonian priesthood. Any person that doesn't drool on themselves will tell you that nowhere in the bible is this date mentioned or inferred in ANY way. It is ludicrous to say that and pagan rituals involving this date can be linked to Christianity before the catholic church got a hold of the idea, that is, ALMOST 500 YEARS LATER.

I remember one of my former
I remember one of my former pastors noted that we know the exact day on which Jesus was killed but we have no idea on which day he was born. He saw that as an indication of which was the more important event. While the birth of Jesus was an amazing thing, it was through his death and resurrection that Christianity has any purpose or meaning. Without the resurrection, Jesus would only be yet another "good" teacher.

Thought provoking to say the least
Part 1 was eye opening, and quite frankly, mind opening (almost like following RP). Even if one of the items in this piece were correct, it is shocking. I did look up the "sun at lowest point in the sky" in late December, and it was correct. Every Christian knows that Jesus b-day was not on Dec. 25th, but the fact that it is celebrated on a day based upon astrology is mind-blowing.

That is because Constantine set December 25th as the day to celebrate Christmas to correspond to an existing Roman holiday that was based on the solar event. A lot of bad theology and traditions were introduced into the church at that point.
The problem is that while there are traditions in the church that are borrowed from other cultures, the Bible itself does not. In fact, I think there is stronger evidence that the other religions borrowed from the Bible in regard to their accounts of creation and the flood. There are a lot of problems with the first part that demonstrate a rather poor understanding of the Bible and history in general. Most of their assertions about what the Bible says are based on church tradition and are actually contrary to what the Bible actually says (like the three kings... the Bible never says how many there were. This was a tradition that arose from the fact that the wise men brought three gifts).
Quite honestly, I never finished watching the film. The first section was filled with so many errors and misrepresentations, I did not feel that I could trust the rest of their content.
