He's got a good point about the elimination of charitable deductions for "rich" people.

Rich people don't want to pay taxes - they'd rather give the money to something they care deeply about. If they can get a tax deduction for that, all the better.

The people in charge are driving this country off a cliff.

I don't always agree with Glenn Beck, but I like him.

His admontion: "Listen to your gut, America, please" is something I have been doing for many years, and it has never failed me. It is a coupling of emotional and intuitive feelings - to act. It is not intellectual and cannot be arrived at by intellectual thought. You get a feeling, an intuitive hunch, and you act on it.

Last summer my gut told me to sell all my stock and get out of the mainland U.S. I did so, much against the advice of my financial advisor. I sold my house, auctioned off most of the contents and relocated to a U.S. territory in the Pacific, the Mariana Islands. So far, life is good. No snow and I feel safe here - far safer than I would have felt if I remained.

About FEMA camps. They exist, and have been around since 1984, when Lousi Giufridda, under the Reagan administration, set them up. They were orginally created to detain citizens from El Salvador who were furious at the Contra/Sandinista situaation. They were never used, but are still in place. In fact, there are more that 400 FEMA camps now, ready to go.

As another poster point out (further down the thread) Alex Jones has been talking about FEMA camps for a long time.

I applaud Beck for his diligence and willingness to have Dr. Paul on so often.

At least he's talking about it, and I thought Dr. Paul's answer was good too.

I like Glenn. So he gave Dr. Paul a hard time back in the day. I used to think everyone that wasn't a Jehovah's Witness was going to be destroyed at Armageddon. According to that logic, I'm going down with the rest of you guys if that happens. Yes, there will be times that we will not agree with what he says, but that is okay. I don't agree with Dr. Paul 100%, and that is okay. What I really want is an honest journalist. If he says something that doesn't sit well with me, I can do my own research, or I can turn off the television. I hope he keeps on turning over rocks that other people are not looking under.
