After having read about the recent 'rashes' of pepper spray attacks by police, and having read about the soon to be unavailable pepper spray, here is a recipe for homemade pepper spray....

I heard a couple of ground up hot peppers used to make a "tea" with a gallon of water and a squirt of dish soap makes a great bug repellent in the garden. No harsh chemicals. I'm going to try it this year.

I shot myself with some of that being stupid trying to clean something without safety glasses on. You would stop the person dead in their tracks with that.

Carb Cleaner
Beware, carb cleaner can cause permanent loss of sight as it is caustic and will burn the eye ball. Handle with care. VERY affective.

Scared me more than anything else I remember
For about 10 minutes I was blind, it took weeks for it to not sting and be cloudy. One of the dumbest things I have ever done. I was spraying into a carb and it was more clogged than I thought and came right back to me. Both eyes.

to get me pepper spray and was asked if I wanted the jell??? Have any idea what he is talking about?
The gel
sticks to the face and you don't suffer the blowback you get with spray.

The "jell" or gel,
is a thicker liquid which sticks to the place it hits, and is not as likely to drip right off, like the thin liquid might..
So, it stays at the point of contact, and is thought to provide better results.
However, I don't know if this is really better, or just marketing.
But, now you know the difference, so you can decide on your own.

little aerosol sprayer that has a refillable container, and you can get replacement aerosol cartridges for it.
It's made to be a disposable paint sprayer, but can be used for almost any liquid.

Now, to combine pepper spray with a laser pointer, in a real looking powerful water pistol. Sad that we Canadians have to resort to these lame methods, hey?

better be pretty picky when deciding what type of spray bottle you use. Want to make sure its more effective than I imagine a lense cleaner bottle would be.
