Is this happening in your county GOP as well?
Not long after our local Ron Paul movement was successful in electing our entire slate of GOP county officers, we noticed a rather interesting development aggressively taking shape. In an instant, a website was built reflecting some very strong views coming from a group of republicans here in our county. They are not subtle about who their primary target is: smearing and attacking the newly elected county GOP conservative leadership, and generally doing anything they can to apparently derail the local conservative movement successfully re-energized due to Ron Paul's campaign.
Are you seeing anything like this in your county? I am curious as to whether or not an orchestrated pattern is forming.
In addition to the aforementioned, I have also learned that if they are successful in beating back our local movement of freedom & liberty, they would like to replicate the same tactics in other elected county, and state GOP leadership organizations that have been "infiltrated" with Ron Paul supporters.
I am concerned as to whether or not anything like this is happening elsewhere. Your thoughts and/or experiences regarding this matter are much appreciated and will ultimately help to strengthen our movement and allow liberty to thrive and freedom to prevail.
Thank you.

The GOP is, like the Demos,
The GOP is, like the Demos, a branch of the NWO. Locally this plays out as conformists, pessimists and status quo defenders. Which implies the local GOP is either completely corrupt because they know what is going on or they are totally ignorant of what is going on. Some of both scenarios are present in our local GOP. To address both stances we've distributed over 1,000 DVDs of diverse titles throughout our small community. A weekly class on the Constitution has been ongoing. We continue to pass out DVDs and printed literature. My Ron Paul campaign sign is still up.
It is deemed it takes two years to wake people up from a cold start. Since we are already seeing people wake up we can anticipate more people waking up at an accelerating rate. By the time the next election the old GOP will no longer exist but will have been transformed from the inside out - the best way to transform anything.
RPLAC doing OK...
Los Angeles County is doing OK. If it weren't for the whole "genocide" thing...we'd be a happy gang of conservatives. We have no hope of winning any elected office, but that could change if the economy tanks completely. I went from a guy holding a Ron Paul sign, to a full committee member, to the executive committee chairman of the 36th Cong. District (now filled by Jane "the traitor" Harman) in a short time. I listen to Alex Jones and Radio Liberty, while most of the committee probably listens to John & Ken... or Rush...or that Savage guy. If Islamic terrorists hit us with a dirty bomb or something, the story may change. Bring on more Campaign for Liberty people to the central committees next elections! And call on the providence of God to help us all defeat tyranny and the left!
Perhaps it would help.
if you were a more specific as to what state are county you are from.
Spokane, Washington
Spokane, Washington
Welcome Clovis3
I see you'v been here 2 days and 3 hours. How long have you been following the Dailypaul ?
RE: Welcome Clovis3
I have been following the Daily Paul since its inception almost two years ago. I was a Washington State GOP Convention Delegate for Ron Paul and I am a member of the Spokane GOP's Central Committee. I am one of many in the local leadership.
Not Good in Hays County (Texas)
While we did elect a Ron Pauler as County Chairman and 4 seats to the executive committee, we are being bullied and smeared as "peaceniks and potheads" Here a good example of some e-mails being sent around by a party regular:
"IT has ONLY JUST BEGUN, because as a few of you know, WE have some BIG PROBLEMS
right here in HAYS COUNTY with a few people. WE will start taking care of that after the
election, and THESE OTHER PEOPLE will KNOW that WE ARE THE REAL REPUBLICANS
and NOT THE RHINOS, as THEY THINK!! IF THEY want to BACK THEIR "CAMPAIGN FOR
LIBERTY" GROUP will GET THE HECK OUT OF OURS and GO DO IT for your RON PAUL.
THE FULL STORY WILL BE COMING OUT, stay tuned!! "
"Hey, Rocky one more thing for he record. You must be part of Ron Paul's "CAMPAIGN FOR LIBERTY" run by (the County Chairman)??? WE do NOT need your STINKING THINKING in the Republican Party, especially when the County Chair. goes to St. Paul and does NOT even attend the Republican Convention but JOINS the 10,000 Ron Paul IDIOTS!!"
My town republican committee is receptive and looking for more
I was just appointed to an advisory committee for my town. It depends where you are. My advice mirrors Doctor Paul's. Get involved and fill every open position you can. Get to know the people running your town, not just your republican committee, but your town officials. It's easier to make changes if you know these people by name and they know you by name. Keep at it and re educate them slowly. Don't look for all your successes at once. Over time, the best ideas will win out.
Thanks For Everyone's Feedback So Far...
Your comments at this point more or less confirm my hunch. The specific activities I noted appear to be localized here in Spokane. I guess Spokane has been chosen as the locus for such events. Your invaluable feedback will help us to appropriately modify our tactics and strategies to the greatest possible benefit to our movement.
Here is my question to all of you: If this happened in your county GOP, what would you do? Would you have the leadership ignore it, or would you do something else? Let's hear your smart solutions.
SCRCC pay attention!
GOP Orange County FL
Yes,
We have experienced people being prevented from participating in government based on creed.
Surrounded by Dems
Our county has a decent GOP head but we have about 68% empty precinct chairs because Republicans are that hard to come by. Let alone Paulites. We are small and rural. Those who are involved are primarily liberty minded, but the ultimate trumping issue is the right to life.
we just introduced ourselves
and got along with each other.
I am cautious about 'bragging' about any successes we may
be making here in Minnesota except to say that there are those 'McCain' conservatives who came to our ron paul delegate meeting, brought their resumes with them and spoke to us because they would like to run for various positions within the Republican party, so they came to ask for our 'endorsement'. They spoke of their years of experience and what that means to continue the party.
However when it came time to write down questions that were asked of them. I wrote two questions that were asked of them. Firstly, what did they think of the Federal Reserve system? Second, what do they think of Dr. Paul's foreign policy proposals?
They hummed and hawed on the Federal reserve which show us all they knew nothing about that and had no opinion. The second question on Dr. Paul's foreign policy stumped them also. The one candidate said the same old same old nonsense about how we shouldn't be 'isolationists' (right out of Faux News BS) and said we need to police the world. The other older fellow came across like he was a lot more 'clever' and said right out, "I really don't know anything about Dr. Paul's foreign policies but I will say one thing, we need a strong presence in the world and cannot afford to drop our guard!"
Same old, same old.
My dear friend stood up after they spoke and betrayed their ignorance about extremely important reason 'why' we are even there and said, "I'm not going to vote for either of you. We are here for Dr. Paul and his ideas. I am not going to use my vote for status quo people".
Well, that was quite an outburst but it came from her heart. Later after the endorsement vote, these two 'McCain' folks came up to her and she agreed to send them a few things they should educate themselves on before saying what they did. If they really understood what Dr. Paul is saying they might realize why all of us are so excited about these ideas.
In just one of our Congressional districts we have over 80 delegate/alternates that can make a difference.
When all is said and done, the Paulites are the ones with the philosophic spark and the others who have been faithful to the 'top', have the 'experience' but are pretty 'jaded' philosophically. So we are quite the bunch aren't we?
Most likely, if all the Paulites were to 'pull out' of the party, things would crumble pretty fast. Can't help but get the feeling they look upon us as 'fresh, undefiled meat'. We mustn't be 'used' in any, way, shape or form'. 'They' are the ones who ruined this party by their 'going along with criminal forces'. And there are no excuses for that. The Constitution is pretty straight forward and our sovereignty is 'self-evident'.
Americans have to stop thinking of their party affiliations as a kind of 'sports team' that they have to be 'loyal' to no matter what. This is complete garbage! And we are changing that attitude by being awake at the wheel!
That was an excellent and inspiring story.

I enjoyed reading your comments.
No. they want us here. They
No. they want us here. They know they messed up and they have less support. And as the party continues to crumble I imagine the same thing will happen to you. They need us even if it is just for the numbers.. who cares any bit of influence is a good one.

The opposite is happening here. We are weeding out the RINOs, or forcing them to admit they are Democrats, and strengthening the group and resolve of the people who truly believe in freedom. 17 of the newly regained GOP seats in the legislature are solid R's with a small r if you know what I mean.
Whatcom County
Welcome to the Republican Party, Sit down and shut up is the impression I get from those in charge here. If they are so smart then explain to me how we ended up in this position and why should we trust the ones that controlled the Republican Party into the dirt to bring it out?? I'm disgusted with the party and time will tell if they come to their senses and realize we don't follow their marching orders without question.
IT IS OUR TIME NOW! STAND UP --- SPEAK UP --- STATE THE TRUTH
We've had ENOUGH of their way!! ... It's OUR way now! YES, FREEDOM IS POPULAR!!
AMEN!!!

No problem in our county
but we are small and rural and conservative with an independent streak. However, I think the state party wants our money and our work, but doesn't want our input. Needless to say- - - - if we aren't accepted in all ways- - -they can forget any donations.
The GOP Is In Shambles!! It's Time To "Show Up" In South Carolin
THEY KNOW WE'RE COMING & THEY DON'T LIKE IT WORTH A DA&*!

Not really
The local parties biggest financial supporter was a Ron Paul fan so our county HQ even had Ron Paul buttons and bumper stickers.
We had a Ron Paul supporter on every committee for our County convention (I was on the State delegate committee) We put good people in those positions, and it paid off.
At the State Convention, our SD and CD voted for our candidates. In SD12, we even elected Jean to the SREC (Jean was on the Texas Campaign Staff and has worked for Dr Paul in the past)
Because most of us are new, our local leaders have been helping us by teaching us and showing us how to do things. Denton Co TX is one of the most Conservative Counties in the Country.
Now there has not been any elections for any of the local GOP posts, but I have a feeling we may have a candidate for one of the vice chairs and we have a "Friend" who may run for county Chair (when our County Chair gets term limited)
No problem
here unless they are really good actors. I seem to have made an impression on some of the higher ups including the head honcho who ha supported us against real ID. I think they see that the paulites actually do stuff. We have worked with thier favorite candidate for AT and I think it blows thier mind to see him chatting with us when he's around. They are puzzled. It,s kinda neat. Many have even admitted Dr. Paul got a bad wrap or they liked him. I imagine thier are some hard core Mccanites thier but I have yet to have a problem. We don't go to everything. Just the things we feel are constructive and most of thier meeting are pretty uniform. But chat time before and after everyone seem to be very nice and curious. The size of the committee has more than doubled this year so I have had very limited time to meet very many.
worse
the Ron Paul people "compromised" and think they have allies. It is really hard to sit here and watch them get taken for a ride, but they are young and will have to learn the hard way. All you AFTF fans may recognize our local "hero" who turned out to have all the spine of a jellyfish, but the youngsters are star struck and just don't see how he is using them. Oh well.
Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.
Libertarians don't believe in democracy.
So it shouldn't surprise us when others don't either.

How are things working out
How are things working out in India, the world's largest democracy? Not so great, eh? I believe in a constitutional democratic republic.
