..between the two extremes.
Somewhere halfway between Lew Rockwell and Alex Jones is my belief system.
I don't believe everything is a conspiracy, but I don't believe nothing is a conspiracy. I believe conspiracy is a natural by-product of government.
I don't believe the elites are incompetent bumblers who can't find their way out of a broom closet---but neither do I believe "everything is going according to plan".
I don't believe the authoritarian system is going to spontaneously fall apart, like wet bread crumbs, under its own dead weight---but neither do I believe they control amazing and terrible forces that would require a dozen Luke Skywalkers, or Superman, to be defeated.
The truth is in the middle.
It's a fight--and to win it, it is not enough for us to 'educate the public' with books or talk show appearances, or to simply work within the two-party system. It's going to take a lot more proactive approach than that, and it's going to require thinking outside the box--which means coming up with new ideas and acting on them.
And facing the enemy squarely, without fear, and spitting in his eye.

about a short term market recovery. It seemed to me he was implying that Obama was doing everything in the manner he was, hoping that an illusory recovery would pop up right around reelection time. Did anyone else think that was what Cody was getting at? I've often wondered if these "stimulus" bills were merely passed just for short term improvements down the road to help his reelection bid.
Judge Napolitano is the best. He strikes me as a genuinely good person. He's really smart and he knows everything about the law so the tricksters can't weasel him with mumbo jumbo. I'm glad he's on our side.

..need to gather as often as possible.. It would be neat to have a round table discussion pumped to the masses with these guys and like minded individuals discussing the topics and issues that REALLY matter.
"But, we have also run into a small inflation problem on account of the high level of leaf availability. Which means that I gather the current going rate has something like three major deciduous forests buying one ship's peanut. So, um, in order to obviate this problem and effectively revalue the leaf, we are about to embark on an extensive defoliation campaign, and um, burn down all the forests. I think that's a sensible move don't you? " The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
I disagree with Lew.
If by "They" he means the Republicrat leadership, I don't think that "They" DO believe that the bailouts will work.
"They" are quite content to destroy the American middle-class. They've been doing it with relentlessly bad laws and fiscal policies for decades.
Stupidity can only explain so much.
Even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then.
Crediting them with ignorance rather than malice is being kind to the point of naivete.

Cut deficit in half? They
Cut deficit in half? Politicians don´t have a clue what is happening in next months or years. In 2007 Bush projected a surplus in 2011.
Sure they can cut it in half. Easy:
Remember that the bailouts are part of the deficit. Once they stop doing those they hit the target without cutting spending by a dime.
Any bets whether that's what they mean by the promise?

That means: For each job "created or saved" about five were destroyed.
