Kevin I am wondering

Have you ever seen Amistad?

This really brings some deep emotions to light.

I highly suggest it.

It will give you an deep understanding of oppression and why the Constitution is so great.

Kevin

this might make a good cartoon.

Heh.

I'm going to probably do more comparisons of fedgov to criminals (although that's probably an insult to criminals).

You're right

it would probably insult criminals.

Sort of reminds me of the sign on Ron Paul's desk in DC. "Don't Steal The Government Doesn't Like the Competition."

Sell these to a conservative newspaper!

Kevin, these are just too good. Isn't there some conservative newspaper out there that would like to buy this one? They'll buy it for the Obama bashing, but then the libertarian philosophy leaks through into their readership.

Well, there aren't many.

I don't know of many conservative print newspapers--and only one editorially libertarian one (The Las Vegas Review Journal). But I appreciate the compliment, thanks.

Most newspapers will go bankrupt and downgrade to online-only within a few years, so I may look at web syndication a little bit down the road.

That's debatable

They said the same thing about radio killing books, and movies killing radio, and TV killing the movies but it never seems to happen. Magazines and newspapers still exist today and they are still making money and handing out checks. Here's a few I can think of:

- National Review
- Reason Magazine
- Wall Street Journal
- Washington Post
- Forbes
- Macleans (Canadian)

A magazine rack would probably reveal a lot more.

Kevin, what about turning these

into humorous greeting cards?

There would probably be a lot of people who would love to send them to their fast asleep friends.

A little humor may wake them up.

Hadn't thought of that!

I was considering a 2010 calendar.

Why

can't you do both?

A lot of cartoonists do.

I could envision not only calendars and greeting cards, but T-shirts, coffee mugs and on and on.

You could start out on the Internet and if sales are good you could branch out to brick and mortar stores using your Internet sales figures as proof there's a market for your items.

It's in the works.

I'll be happy with an Ebay store. It's still a few weeks away.

Mentioned

branching out at some later date to a bricks and mortar because everyone does not have the Internet or likes to shop online. Just a thought.

My blood pressure is up, but keep up the good work.

Karl Marx ?

I think it was Marx who wrote, "Workers of the world unite ! You have nothing to lose but your chains."

The risk, of course, is breaking the chains only to run into another group and finding oneself in different chains.

Still - nice work.

Then, let's call this a

Then, let's call this a 'before' picture and consider this for 'after' :-D

Great minds think alike....

Interesting cartoon -- follows the theme I'd just used for some T-shirts and bumper stickers at http://www.cafepress.com/changeubelieve .

This one has a bit of a historical influence....

Sad but true.

Thanks Kevin.

Another great work of art..

keep them coming Kevin.

that's some talent!

Just curious, how long did it take you to do this cartoon?

Fossils Rock!

'Cause there's a monster on the loose

Thanks...

..It took awhile longer than usual, because of the detailing in the chains. :)

I had to spread it out over several afternoons.
