There is a movement in Florida to free the grassroots and allow them to participate, and have a say in what the party stands for.

Currently, FLORIDA HAS NO PLATFORM. it is one of 18 states that simply do what the RNC tells them to do. Some are run by the Governor, like Florida. Some are partially run by a committee, like Florida.
The FLORIDA REPUBLICAN PARTY IS ESSENTIALLY AN OLIGARCHY. IT IS EITHER THAT OR A DICTATORSHIP.
Keeping this in mind, we need all the help we can get from every Republican in Florida to YES to a Grassroots PLATFORM.
As it sits, being Republican in Florida can mean anything, and that is the way a sly politician, would want it. Keep the sheeple ignorant, and run as a republican, and vote like a socialist.
This is our chance using the power of the internet, to help free Florida from the tyranny of the few monarchs in Tallahassee.

Help Florida, Or we'll be back to bite you
Florida is the most corrupt state in the union. Politicians left and right getting arrested. Then the corrupt governor appoints with no oversight or review. He can put in his own cronies.
Florida is twice as corrupt as New York and 60% more corrupt than Illinois. Where do New Yorkers and Chicago crime boss/politicians go to retire and have THEIR fun????

their multimedia section has alot of videos on the fairtax, which isnt really a fair tax, and will only help solidify government power and create massive black markets for people who want to get out of the massive consumtion tax.
they will only get rid of the irs in name, but some buracracy will take its place under a "nicer" name.
they say that it gives people a chance to vote for government programs because you dont have to buy things and support them.
of course if you dont buy anything "legaly" you could go to jail.
so either support government "democraticly" or go to jail or just sit back and die.
A Platform is where we argue and discuss issues
Like the "so-called" fair tax. The precinct meeting after the election, the senate district meetings of 100s of people, and the state conventions of thousands of people are where we discuss the pros and cons of issues like the fair tax.
THESE DEBATES in creating the PLATFORM WILL BRING THESE FLAWS OF THE FAIR TAX TO LIGHT.
So, the Ron Paul revolution is about a battle of ideas. A PLATFORM is the platform for which we can stand and it is our soap box in the party.
Simple, NO PLATFORM, therefore NO SOAPBOX TO STAND ON. and we continue to be brow beaten from above.
Can you tell I don't like the good idea of a sales tax being used to create the largest welfare program in US history. Its not a prebate, it is a welfare check. And Ron Paul's right, they Fed does not need the money anyway, no need to replace the Income tax with anything. I have 23 reasons why the FAIR TAX is written to harm us. A simple sales tax to replace the fed income tax would be great, but the fair tax won't do that.

I'm up for hammering out a proposal for our state REC, I do not expect them to adopt it under Crist BUT... It would be great to have a record of them saying NO. That can be used to our good either way.

A party platform is not going to be perfect
But it is the voice of those active in the party from the ground up, not the the state capital down.
Contact your C4L leader and ask him to support this initiative and get involved.

What do you guys know about Dr. Marion Thorpe?
I get the impression that he supports the status quo on foreign policy and war, but I can't find many clear stances on anything...
Anyone know what he thinks about taxes, monetary policy, corporate subsidies, etc?

I live in the infamous Broward County and I can tell you from personal experience the Republican party down here wants no part of hearing anything about Ron Paul supporters.I went to the delegation selection up in Boca last year and there was a room full of RP supporters and when we went for "questioning" we were asked questions about the war and foreign policy and were ALL singled out and none of us were picked.They chose the 5-10 neocons for the delegate positions.I will be sure to check out the site but currently I'm trying to sell my house and get out to Colorado to be with my family who after 20 years like myself have watched this place turn into a sh•thole and have left and gone back where we moved from when I was a kid.
My favorite of that day was when Peter Feaman who is a state committeeman for Palm Beach engaged my friend and I in a conversation about the current crisis going on and when we started talking about our foreign policy and the fed his face turned bright red and told us we were in the wrong party and walked off.Oh I have plenty of grievances toward the Florida GOP.

OK my take
I'm in Florida and in about 1996, a bunch of Democrats switched to the Republican party. These democrats brought in the socialist propaganda into the republican party and ran as republicans - the "now" operating republican party is nothing more than democrats in disguise. Need an example?
Arlen Spector (although not from Florida) now sees he will probably loose and he is thinking of switching back to the democrat party. Switching back to the democrat party is the key here. He was a democrat all along so is it no wonder he was never a friend to republican causes? No.
Now look at Charlie Crist - a "republican" with his hands out begging for federal money. Is Charlie a republican No way. He supported John McCain right out of the shoot. Charlie Crist is a democrat in disguise and I hope the republicans either put a real constitutionalist up or a REAL republican.
One who is for smaller government, state sovereignty, freedom and liberty.
Crist is a fake and needs to be exposed as one. He went into office with a surplus and now has a deficit because he would not cut spending. Let him fall. I'm a "registered republican".

sign up at the site. Take a look who has signed on. The site manager says he is adding people everyday. We need to grow this within the party. It is like a march on washington with our grievances, but this is a march on our State Party leadership, saying we want our constitutional freedoms, and a say about who we are!
We need to win this, and encourage others to mobilize.
People on the list are state leaders and precinct leaders and just republican registered voters.
This is real. This is a perfect strategy in the off year.
What happened to the Florida Liberty Caucus?
I read about it on another DP post a few weeks ago. They are liberty minded Republicans that are trying to influence the party. Some counties (Neo-Cons) have already declared war on the RLC. You might want to look into it. Sorry I don't have more info for you.

in Florida is for this I believe, but they are not everywhere yet. They wish to spread liberty into the republican Party to make it more free and constitutional.
I encourage you to sign up if you are republican on the platformyes.com website. When we have thousands of floridian Republicans sign up, then we will take this as a grassroots call to the leadership for positive change.
