2006 Beijing

All I saw mostly was newer Japanese and German Cars. NO AMERICAN CARS AT ALL !

I think I was the only American in Beijing at the time of my visit, all the other foreigners like me were either talking German or Cockney.

Plenty of old beat-up bicycles if you like to peddle around. The rickshaws are bicycle powered.

I was thinking of buying a rickshaw.

The rickshaw is Japanese in origin, not Chinese.

And it's also a possibility that the first rickshaws were invented by American missionaries in Japan.

That's good to know

I really do think Rickshaws will make a comeback especially if gas gets scarce. I could buy them and rent them to people like Hertz rent a car. Maybe my cold went to my head. LOL
