Army Troops Patrolling Streets In Alabama

Did anyone see where the Army sent troops from Fort Rucker to patrol the streets after the shooting spree in Alabama??

It is on MSNBC's web site. They have pics of the troops in the street.

my home is in alabama

even though the people here are asleep in some ways in many more they are not. they know global warming carbon tax is a joke and I would not even mention the words gun confiscation for fear of my own personal safety. and guess what? now they know the money system is a fraud! hahaha

never want to see another pic of soldiers on our streets

Lest we forget...

Military members are in fact also members of the human race and consciousness as are surprisingly so politicians though another story surely. They, military members, are here among the trees of the forest with us, and also outside of it with us as well.

Maybe they as members of the human consciousness figured they could use their position to help other members of the human consciousness... Up to and including their own families and friends who occupy the same immediate area of the happenstance that yet some other members of the human consciousness were to, have and did experience.

Bah, stop that simple stuff, the universe is more complicated than that! :)

Amen to that....

Finally someone with some perspective...

I went to flight school at Ft. Rucker in '79.

There is no combat (infantry) battalions there. What would a bunch of student pilots, mechanics and flight instructors have any business patrolling around Daleville or Enterprise, Alabama? You may be seeing soldiers who live off base (many) who go back and forth in uniform. Don't freak.

They have A provost and

They have A provost and they have an MP det... they were the ones used to assist the local LE..

Why? What would the purpose be...

...or justification rather, as related to the shooting spree?

I admit I haven't really followed this story, but if understand correctly that the shooter committed suicide, why would the military have to patrol the streets of Alabama because of this incident?

none? none.

I would imagine it's to condition

the public and have them get use to seeing the military on their streets.

You know like they do in the Banana Republics.

yep

If the UN completes the private access NAFTA highway . . .

. . . they and the NWO will turn the 25 mile wide, Mexico to Canada highway, it'll be a military base that divides the contenental US like the Panama Canal cuts in half central america.

Getting close to home

This shooting is north of me about 30 miles. I didn't know him.

The shhoting in The St. Louis area on the Illinois side, was close. My sister's husband's mother goes to that church and was there when the shooting happened.

The shooting a week ago in the panhandle, the guy who killed two chilians and wounded three lived very close, and I have met him before. He was not a happy camper, about six months ago. He lived alone.

I think people just loose it, and I'm surprised that it doesn't happen more often.

Could they be Shore Patrol?

Living in a Navy/Army/Coast Guard/Air force/Marine town we have several members of our military who assist local police departments on patrols. Since many of our locals are military the local military branches have military police who routinely patrol our areas in uniform, with either shore patrol (Navy) or police vests like the picture.

Seeing how Fort Rucker is close by, 4 guys in military police vests may be just military police who routinely police the area. They work with local law enforcement mostly in crimes involving military members. Quite normal in a military town.

Stop the NWO....It's just illumi..Naughty !

Okay for Governor

According to Wikipedia, National Guard troops, which are a part of the Army can be deployed to states under the authority of the Governor. This was an exception in Posse Comitatus which only governs Federal responses.

JOhn

Just so you know

National Guard troop's budget's come from the States and remain under State control. The Army and the Federal government has a right to call them into Active Service if need be

Posse Comitatus only covers the Federal Army and Navy, and BTW, does not cover the Marines.

These are not National Guard

These are not National Guard troops. Every reference I have seen to these soldiers have been Ft Rucker US Army.

Looks to me like they had no

Looks to me like they had no rifles, but side arms.To me that is armed.

Definitely armed!

Definitely armed!

This guy was on pharms

and as you notice, the fact that automatic rifles are illegal didn't stop this prozac-popper from obtaining one.

that is why they prescribe them

Sure, they make enough people feel better to muddy the waters, but about ten percent will either kill themselves or go on a murderous rampage. Wonder drug indeed.

Check out ssristories.com - it is an eye opener.

Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.

State National Guard Troops....

...patrolling streets, directing traffic, with no weapons after a tragic and possibly very dangerous incident has occurred. People, come on! Lets not get over excited....

it's not about excitement.

It's quite simply WRONG.

I'm very calm. I'm calmly sitting here thinking.....morons.

That would be you, and the people who thought it necessary to put soldiers on the street.

I'm also thinking that the locals might have all but lost their ability to be calm, rational individuals, who know that the only person who can protect you is you.

police...only minutes away, when seconds count.

Sorry Mildot, you're missing the point....

They have no reason to be there.

This is a local PD matter. Nothing happened that warrants active military to patrol the streets of this town. Nothing will EVER happen that warrants active duty military to deploy in our streets.

This is not Nat'l Gard and it is not a disaster. This is the military being deployed against the civilian population.

Think they're there to help? Go try to get past one of them and see what happens.

Thanks for the update

Assuming you are not being sarcastic...

Here is the caption from the pic on Reuters. "U.S. Army soldiers from Ft. Rucker patrol the downtown area of Samson, Alabama after a shooting spree March 10, 2009"

Where does it say National Guard Troops? They do have weapons also.
Look at the pics: http://www.reuters.com/article/topNews/idUSTRE52A01D20090311

Even if it was National Guard, there is plenty of law enforcement to handle this. This is being done to desensitize people to uniformed military presence in our cities.

So I will stay excited either way.

Look what is happening in Canada.

The Canadian military is reorganizing its priorities to suit a “post 9/11-world,” by creating reservist units for each area of the country that would be tasked with providing “domestic security,” and involve roles such as the mass internment of citizens in the event of a terrorist attack.

Mass internment of citizens????? Read that article and you should see a resemblance to what is happening here.

Chill brother, the black helicopters arent coming for you!

Yeah scary! Crazed gunman running around a town that most of these soldiers families live and killing innocent people. No they wouldnt lend a hand. No, the CO of the base is gonna declare Posse Comitatus and say "we cant help!" Get real folks. Of course they would and will lend a hand you ignorant momos!

As far as being armed; side arms (handguns) are, and can really only be used for personal protection. If they had rifles, minus the orange traffic vests, helmets, and body armor, I would be a little more alarmed.

Im former military, and these guys are only prepared to defend themselves and direct traffic if need be. They probably wanted to just have as many eyes on the street as they could because this guy wasnt just in a school or something, his was mobile.

Dont get too emotional about it...

you have only been here for 11 weeks

you are either very ignorant or you're a troll.
