GLOBAL money bomb!
With all this talk of money bombs, can we create a central site for foreigners and US donors that are maxed out to donate to grassroots efforts that are not directly tied to the campaign?
Can PAC's get involved in something like this?
Anyways having some sort of GLOBAL money bomb can be huge....
and in addition a PAC money bomb for people that are maxed out...
We can have a central fund funnel money to such things as chip-in projects for dvds, signs etc.
One thing we have to do is be careful of fraud and make sure the money goes to the appropriate places.
The day should coincide with the main tea party money bomb on Dec. 16th....
All this talk from the campaign of donating now instead of the Dec. 16th? I don't buy it..... if anything we should make Dec. 16th even bigger...like GLOBAL.......December 16th will be historic......Jd.

Receiving an e-mail update explaining TeaParty07.com and http://www.RudysReadingList.com was just what I needed to get the most bang for my inflated buck! Now I can give the campaign another contribution and PUNCH RUDY in the NOSE!

Sorry for the double post, but it fits in here....
*Sigh* you know folks, it takes lots of pre-planning and emailing and advertising, grass-roots efforts, pavement pounding, word of mouth, etc. etc. etc. to make a massive donation day like the one on Nov 5th. It didnt just happen *overnight*, it was planned probably a month and a half in advance, and STILL alot of Ron Paul supporters Did not know about it! I saw email after email from people who said "Gosh, if I had known about it I TOO would have donated that day" so even Nov 5th alot of people missed the bandwagon.
Now, look at all the POSITIVE PRESS and ADVERTISING, and INTERVIEWS, ETC. that Dr. Ron Paul got out of that one day. Even Ron Paul himself said "I got 10 millions dollars of advertising out of that one $4.32 million dollar day donation" AND HE GOT THE $4.32 dollars also. So actually the $4.32 Million worked out to be literally $14.32 Million for Ron Paul.
Now to continue in logic here... If we continue to follow all these little money bombs, with no time, no preparation, no emails, no advertising etc... they will not amount to any Advertising. Pay for some Ads yes, but newsworth, I dont think so.... BUT, DEC 16TH TEA PARTY (and I think alot of people personally are aware of this and holding off) will still fall BEFORE Jan NH primary. Think of all the publicity and free press etc.... that Ron will get RIGHT BEFORE the Primary... IT WILL BE AWESOME!!!
So as the recent email (yesterday) from teaparty07.com pointed out, its a free world and you can do as your conscience requires.
I just personally think it is a shame to dilute down what could be the most AWESOME day in history for Ron Paul and *I* think, sure to push him over the top in NH because of all the press etc.. before the Primary.
I think IOWA is a lost cause as far as making any real inroads. Why? because we have banged and banged on Iowa for months and months and they have shown consistently they will not budge from their Neo-Con ways... Iowa is a lost cause in my opinion so if they do move their Primary up to Dec 11th or some such (probably to screw Dr. Ron Paul on purpose) wont that make every Ron Paul supporter just that more angry and giving for Dec 16th... I.E. show them the power of the people after their primary. They have slapped Ron Paul repeatedly in the face in Iowa (not the people but the powers that be in the G-O-P) so I dont worry about Iowa, I worry about NH.... the Dec 16th teaparty money bomb will make history again and will really REALLY send a message to the voters there....
this is my humble opinion, I am sure I will be attacked for it so everyone have at it.... As Mr. Lyman says, everyone is free to discuss it and do as they wish...
Doubts
In the spirit of the devil's advocate, I have doubts that the Dec 16 fundraising event will attract much news coverage no matter how great the haul. It will just be another over-looked event, easy to ignore if Britney Spears gets a new haircut, etc. I remember a news guy saying, "Of course they raised a bunch of money online, that's what Ron Paul does" like it was no big deal.
If we want to make the news, we're going to have to do something big, something altogether different.

Totally agree! In the spirt of the Devils.advocate you have the right to express your opinion. But to say that Nov5th did not increase the awareness of Ron Paul? You *have* to be kidding! It was EVERYWHERE. It changed the whole way the media treated Ron Paul... He got much more respect after Nov 5th... It was awesome. And to DOUBLE it Dec 16th! My *humble* opinion and it is just an opinion, not a fact, not a jab, is that it would DOUBLE AWE the people of USA.
Also look at the timing of Dec 16th... Its BRILLIANT! its at the Low tide of donations for all the candidates.... Political rehetoric dies down close to Christmas, News dies down close to Christmas.... Its like a QUADRULPLE PUNCH in the nose of the media and raising the awareness of Ron Paul.... remember alot of people still havent even heard of Ron Paul..... It will be front page headlines EVERYWHERE if we do $10 million plus...
And I will DOUBLE my donation myself. And if it gets close to $10 million I will personally Quadruple my donation to get him there... as will alot of supporters... we will go ALL OUT to make this newsworthy...

Why can't we have a world money bomb to go towards a major charity in the usa. It could be given in the the name of Ron Paul Meetups. This would generate huge media attention and make people aware of how world wide the Ron Paul Meetup really is. It would also show that liberal giving is better placed in the hands of people instead of government (wich is part of the Ron Paul supporters platform). It would also make people wonder how we can generate money for the campaign and give to charities. Just an idea.

I think it would be helpful if foreign supporters wrote letters to the editors of American-read newspapers briefly describing how our foreign policy hurts them.
Many Americans think we're helping people by our actions. They think we will do harm by withdrawing troops. Having citizens of other countries point out the harm we do by interfering in the lives of others, whether by bribery or force, would be helpful to the campaign.
It would be more helpful than money, which might be resented. Voters don't like to think of their votes being for sale.

These are all interesting ideas guys, but whatever crazy thing we do, Dr. Paul must be left as clean as a hound's tooth. All the establishment media need is an excuse to discredit him. They already tried with the "earmark" thing and some nutty racism thing. Don't give them an excuse. It would be really terrible if that excuse came from us.
That having been said, you can buy anything from anybody you want as long as it's legal. You can buy ads, campaign materials by the bundle, and it's your business. But, please guys, don't let something backfire and sully Dr. Paul.
I'm already working on some things, but it is me privately. Dr. Paul has nothing to do with it.
