Anyone watching Glenn Beck's "You are not alone" special?

Does anyone remember him saying we are a bunch of crazy people, bound to produce another Tim Mcviegh? He called Dr. Ron "the mayor of crazytown" and said the military should be used on us. But then he switched to FOX NEWS and had a change of heart!!!

I'll take it at face value and say it was a good show. I recently just finished watching it when I had time to look for it. One has to wonder if he is the mad monk or perhaps a true incarnation of Peter Finch in need of a doctor after a breakdown. I do think everyone has a power of choice, and perhaps he has chosen to learn and come around. One never knows.

That being said...

Something is out of place or missing. I can't pin it down, but I smell a setup. I don't know why. Is he reaching out with a harmless gesture and having it exploited to incite the people, is it ratings, or is it just plain old-fashioned "we got burned once, hold a grudge against Glenn Beck- he badmouthed our idol." Think about it.

Maybe it's just my inherent nature of distrust. I look at this and believe his project is heartfelt on his part, and I think he does honestly believe in it (sometimes people just do get fed up with things and want to help- I've been seeing a lot of it locally), but maybe instinct is telling me this is a potential dagger that could fall into the wrong hands if it is a successful venture. What if by chance this benign project DOES light a catalyst of patriotism in the people, it spreads and the people get fired up? Could be 'interesting.' But see, that's the problem. "OOOO spooky spooky- he might cause a panic- we have to stop him." If I'm not mistaken, I thought that was how the War on Terror went platinum.

Hmm, then again, is it really such a bad thing if this IS a setup? After all, we want things to change. It'd sure save a lot of bitching and speculation here on the forums if it lit up like a meteor now wouldn't it... Everyone says they're ready for hard times. Alright- Let's play a game. The rules are simple: The people left standing were properly prepared and get bragging rights on the DP after the smoke clears- the ones who fell, well, you know. Put it to the test and get it over with. Sometimes things really are what they seem, and other times it's a fool's errand. Adds flavor.

I watched the show and couldn't really bare it with all his crying and 9/11 talk...

However our movement isn't about Ron Paul, it's about the message. Ron Paul isn't our leader, he's just a messenger. And with time, he'll be one of many messengers. Our freedom message won't be contained or monopolized by one single group... It's just impossible.

Getting people to be Ron Paul supporters isn't the goal. The goal is to make people want freedom and dislike our big government... And Glenn seems to be drawing people towards that.

Listen, I don't see the harm in having Glenn Beck tell people to care about the constitution and read books about our founding fathers. I don't see the harm.

However, if Glenn Beck tries to steer us away from our pro-freedom, pro-constitution, anti federal reserve message, us liberty-lovers will redirect those with our truthful knowledge.

I have a feeling that Glenn Beck is inadvertently going to help us recruit more people to the Campaign for Liberty, regardless of what you think of him. Getting people to not trust politicians and the establishment is only going to help our cause.

I honestly don't see a downside. If someone could point out a downside, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Murdhoch's (sp?) who owns Fox, his stock is now worth $4-5, remember when we all started here it was worth $22-24 - he works for ratings. He is still an alcholic, instead of CNN, he is now an alcholic for Fox - he says it everyday on his show, he confirms his existence for Fox - his livelihood - he sold his soul to Fox. For me he is a sick man. I cringe everytime he judges Dr. Ron Paul - He's a Romney man. Wonder why?

Will he debunk it ? will he mention it? I am sure he will start eating sugar again.

H.L.S. already has the names of MOST if not all of the terrorist in this country (for you dummies...that means you and me). The performance of Becky...oops Beck, while heart moving is probably just another way to grab a names list of the second line "terrorist". Read that still in the closet. I just loved hearing how, "we got the largest server we could and it just crashed". What hogwash. Until Becky...oops (did it again) Beck and Harry Knuckles...oops...Chuck Nu-orbits (yes, I know but it reads good?) are at the steps of the....dare I say it....White house, with guns in one hand and a rope in the other, I don't think I will ever bother going to the web site mentioned on Becky's show. And just for the record, I reblocked my fox channels after this long awaited show. With hind site I never should have even watched the drivel. I could go on and on and on... but with the Madam straighters (moderators) here, I would be at a loss for words except in my own mind.
