I think in most instances Stossel's reporting is awesome. This is an example of one of those instances. Now the question is - how do we get the Stossel's of the world with the power of the media to help make a difference. He could, and should, use that power to help fight back. For instance, the pre-k piece show just how inept our govt. is, so couldn't he and others such as the Hannity's and Limbaugh's of the world help or lead movements to stop this waste? Exposing it is one thing, but that doesn't make the needed changes.

But today, I've been doing a bit of research, and that woman's definitely part of the problem. Not just in the usual ignorant legislator way, but in an up-to-her-eyeballs in corruption kind of way. She's an investor in a bank that's getting millions in bailout money.

companies doing our road projects: Reason TV said that citizen protests were responsible for some of the road projects getting shelved, but some of those protests were not just against private companies doing the road projects, they were against FOREIGN companies doing them. I can understand that people don't want foreign companies in charge of the roads and the tolls. Reason TV didn't differentiate if the protests were against privatization or foreigners doing the projects. If it's going to be done privately, let domestic companies do it.

I thought it was a good show. It has been by far one of the best shows on ABC instead of all the smut they put on. I liked the last part showing a guy with $25 could make it with a little American spirit.

and by the way... notice that Steny Hoyer was basically conceding the points about debt got us into this mess, so somehow more debt will get us out, and this whole plan will result in inflation, and he just "hopes" it works.

Just watched the whole show. It was entertaining but not thorough enough for me. The last part was a bit thin. The question John forgot to ask is, how much in debt did those people get for all those toys?

Why do people think just because they have a lot of toys that they "live" well? Silly morons....
