It would be like the end of the world to me.

That is probably the wrong way to think of it, but that is how it would feel.

a few times mostly in summer time

I would camp for weeks and weeks in the mountains so I have experience and can handle it.

Nothing wrong with a retreat.

It would clear the mind. That is probably good for a poet/writer such as yourself.

...And if I know you, you probably gave all the grizzly bears beer and made friends with 'em. ;)

I've often imagined being out, away from everything. Being on an island or in a cabin in a secluded place.

I probably wouldn't last too long, especially since I don't eat meat. I'd be competing with the deer and birds for nuts and berries.

Yes, I'd for sure have to be with some mountain man like a Jeremiah Johnson to survive.

But that would be a different thing, though, than being stuck in a tent in a city trying to find a way out of that predicament and still have to move within the parameters of the "system".

Survival in the wild would definitely be different than this other thing that is going on now.
