Has anyone ever considered the vast role played by "think tanks" in setting American policy - especially foreign - and how our voices have been supplanted by groups of self annointed experts ELECTED BY NO ONE?
This next article refers to a book with a PRO think tank position, but shows their vast influence in setting American policy.

These groups - you've heard the names on all the news broadcasts, political discussion shows - are the sole go-to's for any kind of public policy guidelines, opinions, etc., where once the American people were the sole voice of what America's policy should be. Names like the Brookings Institute, the Cato Institute, the Heritage Foundation, the CFR, etc., etc., etc., There are dozens of them populated with intelligensia who feel that they, and only they have the background, experience and intelligence to guide America's elected representatives in forging ahead. Is it any wonder that we, the people don't have the ears of Congress anymore!?
Our rights to govern ourselves have been hijacked and until we make these groups irrelevant and take them out of the equation, we can continue to beg for crumbs from our Congresscritters until the cows come home!

Think tanks are just people coming together voluntarily
Of course people can petition the government, and of course people can form groups and petition the government. That's all think tanks do.
They are also usually pretty straightforward in what they want to accomplish, which makes them far more transparent than, say, the big banks making deals with the Fed behind closed doors.
Judge think tanks on their policies. Don't wipe out the whole category as illegitimate.

Does he think such prohibitions are to our advantage? The Rooskies and Cubans are talking about putting bombers in Cuba. That's what isolationism gets you.

That these think tanks have been influencing our presidents with direct access that we have never had; our pleadings are through our Congress who in turn pay more attention to these groups amongst others and turn a deaf ear to us.

Wethesheeple is more like it. Why do you work so tirelessly for your own enslavement? The constitution is not for you! It's for them! It does not secure your freedoms! It takes them away! The only thing that will ensure your freedom is the willingness to fight for them! That's how it's always been. It gives the few the power to rule over the many! As long as they have the power to tax, regulate ect, they RULE over you. Their power becomes endless. You do not have control over them! Would you pay fines, fees, licenses, permits, ie extortion money, taxes on your labor and the products derived from it, if you had a choice? This IS the constitution! How is it possible for a few represenitives to voice the opinions of millions? It's not. It's a scam. Yet you fight for it. It's a lie to keep you enslaved by them. Fight for true freedom. This group is trying to get representatives from all 50 states,
and Bob Schulz is currently going to each state to meet with interested folks to explain what he has done and what "we the people" must do to regain our republic and the freedoms we're in danger of losing. One need not give money, simply your time and suggestions. Try to attend one of the meetings when he comes to your state! Thanks. In Liberty.

We have ever had rights under this defacto regime. We don't. We never had rights. They make you think you do, to keep the illusion going. We ceased to have rights when we gave the few the power to tax the many a long time ago. We cease to have rights because we are a bunch of dumbed down mindless sheep, more concerned about the latest ipod or trinket. Spoon feed tripe by the controlled media. See, in order to obtain freedom, you must first KNOW you are a slave. How many people KNOW? They think they are free, because they can come and go as they please with proper paperwork ( they still don't get it ), eat where they want, shop ect. Does communist China not have the same priviliges? They don't understand the difference between priviliges and rights. None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.

Because of think
tanks and lobbyists, the American people have become nothing more than a nuisance to their elected officials.
That is unless it's close to reelection day.
Then these same elected officials will court their constituents like a philandering husband would court his mistress. Promise her everything in order to get what he wants.
After mission accomplished...he drops his mistress like a hot potato and goes back to his wife.
Just like your elected officials drop you and go back to the think tanks and lobbyists the minute you give what the want...reelection.
People need to wake up and stop allowing them to treat you like their wh@@@s.
Sad fact is, they probably treat their wh@@@s better than their constituents.
