... if anyone cares.
»

It allows multiple votes
The developers of the poll were so intelligent that they used cookies to determine if someone has voted (a file sitting on your computer, not their server). People are just deleting the cookies, refreshing the page, and voting again. So the results are meaningless.
Not very shocking coming from the company that still caters to the Ted Stevens of the world that think AOL is the InterWebs. "do u have internet? dude, i totally have internet! meet me in the chatroom."
That said, do the results of the poll matter? This poll specifically, no, not ultimately. But unfortunately, there is a large percentage of the population that don't know the first thing about finding independent sources of information, to whom the internet is black magic, and to whom the TV news is still gospel. For better or worse, these people all get to cast a vote too. And they do. Many of them are the registered republicans that left their homes three years ago to cast a primary vote for an incumbent, wartime President and are now being called on their rotary phones to gauge and thus drive the opinion of the rest of the nation.
We can debate amongst ourselves all day the nuances of our libertarian ideals, argue about the minutiae of one cutting-edge technology over another, or try to out-name-drop each other with the most obscure alternative news sources, but these are the people we need to convince.
Ughhhh
Am I just a party pooper or is anyone else tired of the shout-out that EVERY little poll receives?!?!
It's Not A Poll - It's A Scam
Even Ron Paul who is the king of web polls can't flip positions like this.
Ask yourself...
It's a holiday, who is going to do this?
People are busy
Its laid out with a slant.
We've seen enough online polls to recognize this is not arbitrary.
Maybe they're testing new online poll software by Diebold.

BOMB "EM NOW!
Scripted.
The poll is being scripted.
Huckabee jumped 10% within an hour, and there are now 500 votes or so within the 15 seconds it takes me to refresh the page.
Check the comments section, there are more bots there than should be humanly possible.

Moving Fast
Biased poll, but we have to win.
Down to third...
trailing Rudy and Mike. Within striking distance though. Looks lots of us are traveling!!
send the link
out to your friends....
with enough polls won, it will be hard to dispute. remember when paul wasn't included in polls? it was easy to ignorantly report results...but with zogby, this, and others....global results are hard to dispute.
spread the word...vote.
Hucksters
Pft... I question the sanity of someone who would vote for Huckleberry, even in an online poll.
1,000 people a minute
Right now 1,000 people are voting every minute. Seems shady. It doesn't hurt Huckabee that the poll falls right under a positive story of him.
Keep in mind...
I just voted. But keep in mind AOL users are generally liberal, and dumb as rocks. That would easily explain Guliani winning the poll.
well
i think some rudy-fan found out that you can spam this poll via script ... it's pretty obvious if you follow its progress. well, so much for the infamous "ron paul spammers". ;-)
Down...
We're down to 18% somehow within 5 minutes. Explanations? Guiliani is down as well, looks like Huckabee is up.

spam
those are script attacks (actually the voting has pretty low security) ... "they" want to shove RP down the rank. it would not even be too hard to "strike back", but ...
Done
RP @ 20%
Rude @ 25%
20% not bad...keep pushin'...
By the way...we've discussed this in another forum...
It's better to open a NEW window and in the browser window, paste the address of where the poll is being taken so that they don't trace all the TRAFFIC FROM OUR SITE.
It looks better, doncha know...
Up to 19%
... but still 6% (about 960 votes) behind. Come on!!
“Wasting a vote is sometimes voting for somebody that you don't really believe in."
-Ron Paul
18%
2,340 votes so far for Ron.
up to 18%
I just voted. Granted, these are "unscientific polls," but they do show the enthusiasm we have for Ron Paul. Eventually, the people who aren't paying attention, are going to ask, why is this Ron Paul guy attracting such a devoted following. And that's when we win...
18%
18% and rising
Done
Voted, then send the old email blast to friends and family....
Spread the word, keep this post up

I Say.......BOMB AOL
Hey number two is GOOD!
If we were number one they would say "Ron Paul has a spam bot!"

Vote Twice, please
The AOL poll permits us to participate on both their Demoblican and Repucrat polls. It is NOT dishonest or unseemly, as they are soliciting our preferences for each list of contenders.
In addition to boosting Dr Paul on the R side, I recommend voting for "Other" on the D side, as that will deflate the evident support for ALL the Ds.
