However, the Senator from Indiana has it wrong - the Congress does not 'always, always' listen to the American people. 86% of Americans opposed the bailouts and Congress pressed on their own agenda anyway against the American people.

There's a couple kinds of "Tea Party's" I know of, and if I remember right the "original" dress up one was raw tea leaves.
Teabagging to me means something so different, and I think some people knew it and just want to see people on the news and on the street say it, just for kicks.

I understand why you might think that but
Malkin does NOT control any of the groups. She did give some funds to some people organizing at the city level of one of the tea party groups. I have spoken with an individual involved in the tea party group in question, who I have known since getting involved in the RP campaign a couple years ago and Malkin does NOT have any control over the group. These folks are in fact very wise finding new converts. They are very hip and are NOT sheep.
Of course Malkin and O'Really want to reposition themselves their era of Marxist neo-conservatism is dying. We must be smart and use these neocon spokes people.
The Tea Parties are a new and very powerful tool for Liberty. As always we should be watchful and cautious of infiltration and trouble makers. But frankly there have been plenty of that already and we have grown as a movement.
Aaron from www.reteaparty.com says INDEPENDENT and not Affiliate
We spoke with Aaron from www.reteaparty.com and he has told us that they are in fact the main organizers and that they are not affiliated with Michelle Malkin or FOX. He also said that he feels that Malkin and Fox are trying to jump on the wagon, but that they are definitely not giving any input as to the organization of these tea parties.
So, I will leave the comment above as a reminder that we have to be cautious about the comments that we leave. I hope to hear LegalizeLiberty's opinion on this as it is her post, and anyone else's who knows the organizers and their motives.
I should have researched more before jumping to conclusions.

I believe from my own research that folks behind re-teaparty are genuine and full of passion for Liberty as are most of the folks at WND...
That is my personal opinion and you can have a different one.

How about next protest we have everyone (will not cost a lot, but make a big point) a $1 Bill, then if we have 1000 people we have $1000.00 FRNs; then it would make a point to BURN the whole lot of it!! It would make headlines, be relevant (to the FRN System), and be doing something that would get attention to the effect of all that borrowing..

How about something relatable to people TODAY?
A tea party is a quaint idea, but irrelevant to today... here are a few ideas for what's happening NOW:
1) Stuff boxes full of tax forms and burn them in giant bonfires across the US.
2) Buy up worthless GM and Chrysler stock and bury them on Wall Street.
3) Send hundreds of thousands of one dollar bills to every Congress member and Senator with the following written on them in LARGE black letters: "End the Fed!"

I don't understand why we all just don't keep our taxes until the government listens to our concerns.The last ten words of the very first amendment states
"and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
The "we the people organization" has done everything possible to get our government to obay our constitution for years, all to no avail. Our government could care less about throwing tea in a bay. If enough people (slaves) just refused to pay their taxes it might get their attention. Problem is we need millions of us to do this.
Look up the "we the people organization" to see how hard they have been working. The suits they have filed, the organization they have accomplished.
