Here is a great new one from our good friend Steve Dore. How are we going to pay for everything? Easy. Tax the rich.

Umm...

Humans, all of us.

How about stop

The taxation period. Just stop. Make it voluntary, I mean really voluntary. Like charity. Being successful shouldn't be punished. Ridiculous. Next thing it will be imprisioning the poor, oh, wait they already do that... and then they TAX you for it.

I'm sitting here laughing at these comments.

Wow. Some of you have no clue at all. You do realize that "rich" is over $250,000 a year, right? That's nothing. You're all thinking of multi-millionaires and your beloved large corporate employers, but the "rich" they are taxing are regular folks. As more and more things happen around us, I am less inclined to scream "WAKE UP" than, "QUIT BEING SO STUPID!"

Good one! Here's a digg bump

Good one!

Here's a digg bump for ya!

Tax the oligarchs & the lobbiests first

They've done a lot more to destroy this country..that a person who has created their own wealth employing others.

Steve is awesome!

Steve, as usual, you are an awesome musician and songwriter.

I think some people don't get it though.. I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, that your song title is tongue in cheek in that you are not really for 'taxing the rich' as the phrase unfortunately means to some people.

The Obama mentality is that someone who owns a business and employs people and is making $200K/yr surely must be 'rich' and thus have more money taken from them to be redistributed, is truly misquided.

Or someone who worked all their lives and saved for their retirement but is having their 401Ks and savings devastated thanks to the government looting.

The above two examples are of those only 'rich' enough to have been able to take care of themselves without depending on the government or others. Isn't that what we want? From reading some of the comments below, I'm not so sure there isn't a little class envy here. After all isn't this the situation we would like everyone to attain?

The real 'rich' we ought to be suspicious of are the folks like Soros and Rockfeller who use their billions to manipulate and control us, not our neighbors who have worked hard all their lives and have something to show for it.

So, in no way should Steve's song be taken as an approval of the "class warfare" ginned up by the Obama campaign, that fueled Obama's misguided supporters.

:-)

So much negative everywhere, I felt good about doing something spoofy just so I could smile and actually enjoy singing and "playing". Plus a lot of people have been telling me no one wants to hear much about the economy and politics in a song... especially a song reminds them of the bad news. Thanks Jane from good old NH. Nice to see your name.

Thank you Michael

Let's digg it for Steve & for the revolution!!

Tax the rich corporations!

Love the song and the single dollar studio!

Start with taxing the snot out of rich companies that export our future. Only 5.6% of our exports are manufactured goods. The rest is either raw materials or “financial instruments” (the ongoing fraud perpetuated by our “corporate executive class”).

Most of our trade involves sending raw materials offshore - raw timber, coal, minerals, oil, corn, wheat, soybeans. This actually costs us jobs. It enriches the executives of those multinational corporations and provides a very few brute force, low paying, labor jobs for people involved in mining, cutting timber, or agriculture (and most of the labor in agriculture are illegals). Your multinational corporations aren’t just worthless, they are a danger to the very existence of this country.

We need to tax the living hell out of any U.S. based company, multinational or not, that outsources jobs, factories, technology, and eliminate their use of “guest workers” like illegals or H1-B or L-1 visa indentured servants. We need to bring jobs back here. If we enacted a $10 per service call tax on those Amazon, Dell, Dish, and Microsoft call centers, those jobs would return PDQ.

We have plenty of U.S. citizens who are more than competent to perform any job currently given to one of these foreign “guest workers”. Not only can we do without “multinational” corporations, we need to take steps to get rid of them and the vermin that run them.

Hahahaha....

You are so lost. There is no way you can think that we can solve our problems by taxing industry. This will have the opposite effect, no business wants to pay ridiculous taxes, they will simply move their operations off-site as well. This tax the rich, tax industry, is the biggest socialist agenda ever. You need to CUT taxes to provide INCENTIVE for business to grow. That is the role of government.. to create an ENVIRONMENT that is attractive to businesses.

People offshore jobs for a reason. IT IS CHEAPER. Now you think you can force them by taxing to hire American workers. It just doesn't work that way. People have what is called costs vs revenue = profit. You think you can force theirs costs higher so they will be forced into hiring American workers. That is a funny joke.

If we had sound money, a viable economy, then jobs would stay here. The market is driven by market forces. Government creates regulations and wage controls which push CEOs / Stock Holders to demand better results (overseas outsourcing).

Get Real.

You have to look at the

You have to look at the reason companies outsource jobs, factories, use illegal immigrants- etc. If you start taxing the living hell out of any US based company that does that- you honestly think that those jobs would return to the US?? Even more companies would forget about doing business in the US- and not only that but to deal with the new tax increases or deal with the fact that they must hire, or buy american- either wages will be cut, or prices will be increased at the company. Not helping americans very much at all.

Remove the regulations- remove minimum wage, remove the taxes we put on businesses- and watch business flourish. The people that run multinational companies aren't vermin just because they don't feel like hiring Americans- that doesn't make them evil or bad or anything. And the wages they pay to outsourced workers to places like India earn them enough to turn those people into middle-class-upperclass citizens in that country. Nobody owes American citizens one dime(except the government).

If you want people to do business in America- GIVE THEM AN INCENTIVE don't drive them away. Multinational corporations aren't a danger to this country- this government and its laws which makes it very difficult to run business are the danger.

Big Pharma Backed EPA Petition to Regulate Silver - 3 Days Left

http://www.tbyil.com/

Big Pharma Backed Activist Groups Have Used the Public Comment Extension Period to Flood the EPA with Thousands of Comments and Make False Claims about a "Major New Study"

Only three days are left to prevent the EPA from regulating colloidal silver as a pesticide - a petition that has been exposed as a Big Pharma effort to use environmental and other activist groups to help eliminate competition from a substance that the EPA itself has tested to be safe in the past and which millions of Americans use as a supplement instead of the expensive, side effect laden and often less effective antibiotic drugs that generate literally billions of dollars in profits each year for pharmaceutical companies.

Though the efforts to regulate silver appear to come from activist groups, recent investigations have found that the large majority of the groups routinely receive funding from pharmaceutical companies and they are pulling out all the stops to take colloidal silver and other nano-silver products off the market, including massive email and regular mail campaigns to their members, thousands of comments generated by automated comment forms on their websites and publishing a misleading report in the closing days of public comment which they falsely claim is proof of silver causing harm to humans.

Many may have thought that the initial efforts to further erode our health freedom and take yet another supplement away from the public were thwarted by an outpouring of public comments to the EPA against the petition. As you will see in the story that follows, such thinking was premature and the reality is that while many of us have been lulled to sleep, the Big Pharma backed activist groups have regained the upper hand by redoubling their efforts after the initial deadline was extended. Now, only scant days remain to again take action and reverse the tide or very likely see access to colloidal silver taken away.

I urge each and every one of you who values liberty, health freedom and what should be your unalienable right to make your own health decisions to go to the EPA site and let them know exactly how you feel - and do so immediately, because time is running out and the powers of greed and suppression are holding sway.
