Any Word on the USA Today Ad

0 votes

Has anyone seen anything on t.v. or elsewhere about the full page ad? I suggest we contact all media outlets such as CNN, FOX News, etc... to let them know about it.

Perfect Placement-USA Today Ad!

.....not only is "Nation" the perfect section, the ad is right across from "across the United States/News from each State." Everyone looks up their State or States that friends and relatives live in just to see what "blip" got picked for their state. This is also the section for the editorial/political cartoon page as well as weather across the nation.

I always get a USA Today when we take a road trip as ...agree or disagree (usually disagree )...there is always good fodder for conversation with my husband. I feel an upsurge of pride mixed with a healthy dose of hope just thinking about all the people driving today and tomorrow who will see this ad. Millions. I have never seen an ad with so much information (all positive to most people) and yet visually appealing. There is a masterful use of white space given the amount of information contained.

Is it having an impact? Absolutely. Does it give us credibility? Absolutely. Am I grateful for "our benefactor" ...the man who placed this ad in our names (We the People)? Absolutely.

Personally, I cannot imagine anyone expressing anything but gratitude for this ad, its placement, its potential impact. Mr. Lepard knew "exactly" what he was doing....thanks to Max as well. I would imagine the ad will have a prominent place in the Paul family gathering. Happy Thanksgiving Dr. Paul and family! Many thanksgiving blessings will include your name tomorrow! Rest well brave warrior! This revolution has a lot of "love" right in the middle of it.

Bravo!

The add looks great! Don't expect a sudden spike in donations or tea party people because of it. These things take time. A person has to get aquianted with the man, watch some videos, read up on him, talk to people, etc... Only after the process of familiarization is complete will a typical person actually consider sending $.

Placement

I removed the AD from the oddly placed section and put it directly in the second page in as many papers I could.

What a crappy place for the ad, maybe the only redeeming thing is it was next to the news from around the nations states.

So far no effect either on funds or tea party pledges

I was hoping that the number of tea party pledges would be skyrocketing.

Maybe it's too early for this. No marked uptick on daily fundraising, either.

Don't tase me, bros!

It can take up to 6 weeks ....

To feel the effect of a Marketing Campaign.

And most people have to hear of something at least THREE times before they do anything about it.

Keep working!

It took me at least a month

It took me at least a month before I started donating to Paul. First $5 here, $17.76 there, read more about him, watched more about him, $50 bucks here, $100 bucks there....
Give it a while; I'm a total Paulite but it took a month or two.

usa today

a portion of the first section was romoved and places farther back on the newspaper in Houston. That portion that was removed contained the Ron Paul ad. Kind of fishy if you think about it.

It looks good.

It's on the second page of the section called "nation"

Christmas day is the day!

Believe it or not, Christmas day is a great day to run ads as people will tend to sit around at home and read it on that day. This of course applies to papers like the NYT, not USA Today. If someone puts together a project like this though, I'm in for a Franklin.

Drudge

i sent a news tip last night to Drudge, as i often do with Drudgeworthy Ron Paul news.

I sent

I SENT A HEADS UP TO FOX ,CNN ,MSNBC ,NBC NIGHTLY NEWS ,CBS NEWS ,ABC NEWS AND 20 INDIVIDUAL NEWSPEOPLE ON TV ! I ALSO SENT THEM ALL A COPY OF THE TEA PARTY WEBSITE IN IT'S ENTIRITY

Rudy's ad made national news, Ron's should too

The national news made a big deal about the new york times move-on.org
ad and Rudy's response ad. I think a supporter buying a full page ad in a national newspaper is national news. Do you see any other candidates motivating people to do likewise? Send emails or call your favorite news channels and ask for a story on Ron's supporters. Any free pub we can get helps the cause.

You don't understand the effect of ad

this RP's ad is nothing that "crap" to ordinary people. Rudy's ad was big news, because it was CONTROVERSIAL response to controversial ad.

Look at Huck's new tv ad - it's funny (to some people, not me, but at least it's a world news that Chuck Norris votes for Huck) and it will get attention.
Look now at RP's all ad's. Most of them are simply presentation of facts, not good advertisements.

Even Gravel had better ads in Union Leader.

If Ron Paul want's attention, he should make controversial or simply good ad.

Many people are not interesting in facts but in entertainment.
You can gain some votes simply highlighting the facts, but it speaks only to about 40% of population.

now...

...theres an idea

For an ad in the newspaper?

For an ad in the newspaper? I think you guys over estimated the impact spending $85,000 would have - it's intresting but not totally news worthy.

Had we got together as a community and ran adds in the Washington Post, LA Times, Wall Street Journal, and NY Times the same day ... then it would have been HUGE.

Maybe You Can Head That Drive

Sounds like you have a good idea BigJohn. Maybe you can take the lead on that. I wonder when another great paper day might fall... the day after Christmas? Or New Year's Day?

I'm heading down to the bookstore in about 20 minutes to look for a copy of the paper.
