People Are Watching This Lunatic.... Glenn Beck (Liberals' Reaction)

Read this article from Washington Monthly and the comments..this is what they think of Glenn Beck and "conservatives"

Fox News' deranged media personality, has been telling a national television audience that the Obama administration might be setting up secret "concentration camps" to lock up conservatives. The president, Beck believes, may be using FEMA in this conspiratorial drive towards "a totalitarian state."

Beck, who has already voiced his affinity for the John Birch Society, is also distributing Birchers' literature to his audiences.

If he were just some random right-wing blogger, it would be easier to laugh this off. If he were just some strange man screaming on a street corner, social service agencies might be called in to help the guy out. But instead, people are listening to this nut.

A puppet and and actor

is this Beck's role ....
is he voluntarily acting like a crazed - over emotional talking head?
If so - this helps the other camp to point a finger and use him saying
that he represents the Freedom Movement ..... (which he truly does not!)

I don't trust any of them - they are all about tv ratings -
they will say or do anything (all of them)

Their moderators

What a joke;the moderators went through last night I guess and deleted all of the posts on the fed, constitution, and any posts arguing against them.LOL....They can't handle the truth it seems.

I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees...

I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees...

the posts under the other article are ridiculous. it is strange how some people are so fixated on the left-right 'war'. thats what is depressing.

Jealousy prevails again

The Washington Monthly sure got themselves in a tissy...Maybe they should get off their ars & investigate...That takes work though...Glenn does his homework...

The Paradigm

It's pretty typical isn't it.

I thought the object of the 'game' in the Left Right Paradigm, is to keep up the “us” against “them” facade. Can you imagine the left and the right aligning on principle against FEMA camps - what a disaster…. What's next the principles of lawful government? Correct vote counting?, competetive currency? consent and representation? less ignorance? Oh, the humanity...

The very establishment of a formal organization tends to fix the boundaries of social relations, putting up barriers where previously there were only signposts, and thereby hardening the lines of social and political conflict.

Under these conditions formal organizations cease to be responses to existing social arrangements—ways of coping within an existing order—and become features of social organization itself—ways of remaking that order on a new model.”

The "Concentration Camps" is not a rumor.

Off the Wall Crazy: FEMA 'Death' Camps
Close Enough to be Scary: Army 'Civilian Inmate Labor' Program

That's on the Army's Website. You can sum it up in 6 points:

- The army will run civilian prison camps
- Prisoners will come from the US Penal System
- Prisoners will conduct labor for the army
- This labor will not be paid
- Incidents such as riots will be handled by the Army
- Any media interaction will be filtered through the Army

I'm not a 'Truther', but that document is real. And disturbing.

You add the ADDITIONAL removal of Posse Comitus barriers between the Army and Police, and there is definately a trend in direction.

The Army is turning into a branch of law enforcement.

Life, Liberty, Property

Hold it

I can't look into this now, but what I see happening is Beck is getting discredited by the left, even some right on Fox and guess what, definitely by US. If they are trying to let Beck hijack our people and WE are helping discredit him while he speaks mostly our message, then we are just doing what everyone did to Ron Paul and we are helping the NWO discredit him. The people on here who go on and on about him (raising my hand for being guilty) might need to keep it quiet because he is doing a better job than anyone else in msm has. I saw part of him today, and I still am concerned, but I don't want to discredit the things he is saying, because he is saying what we have been saying. Discrediting him is making the entire patriot movement look outdated. This is a huge concern because I am beginning to feel like cowboy (girl).

they deleted my post.

they deleted my post. Doesn't look like any of the lefties made it over here.

I think we might have actually touched someone over on that site; on my phone so can't copy or paste but he seemed to like the message and agreed to check us out.He said he was looking for a change...
Liberty changes minds every day!

The truth is the truth

it NEEDS to be said over and over. I don't care who says it.

If Glen introduces important truths to people then good. Because so many people have no clue.

A good friend of mine from New York was in town last weekend and we went for dinner to catch up. He is an accountant and successful software designer and is doing really well, and out here giving seminars.

I hoped to talk about US constitutional issues and the Fed. I mentioned the secrecy surrounding the Fed and how it needs to be trransparent and he thought I was talking about Obama and his cabinet!!! He replied that Obama has a website where everything is out in the open and transparent. AAKKK! I was speechless.

He is coming back in April and I will be ready.

The jury is still out...

...my personal opinion is that he is sincere but somewhat misguided because he is still caught in the left/right paradigm to an extent. I do not think he is has been actively recruited by the New World Order as some have suggested, but could he be getting used by them as some kind of litmus test or experiment, yes thats totally possible. Some people have mocked his tears and propensity to cry as being fake, but if you've watched and listened to him at different times over the years its really nothing new. He gets upset easily and he isn't one of those guys who is afraid to show it if its a touchy subject. I can't stand that he still believes all the terrorism propaganda and doesn't see thru it but he has come a long way from where he was at 2-3 years ago.

If people want to talk about true talk radio shills, look no further than Sean Hannity. Now that guy IS bought and paid for by the Neocons with no mind of his own. Beck still has to wake up to the fake war on terror and even then I don't think some people would trust him. Its all in how you look at it...

I still like Beck

I may be alone but I still like Beck. Yes, he is strange and still doesn't get it 100%, but I don't think as some do that he is in bed with the NWO or anything. In many ways I was in the same place he is now a year ago. These things take time.

Hey most the people I meet from the Ron Paul movement are a little crazy. I don't mind because I've always been a bit of an outsider myself.

Anyway, most people here wanted the mainstream media to come on board and join us in our understanding of the real problems, but now that they are, we just start rejecting them?

This is the evolution of every movement in history.

1. They reject it as crazy
2. Starts to become more mainstream
3. Mainstream starts to think it was their idea all along
4. Accepted by all

I think Beck is good for the movement. The fight for freedom isn't about us or them. It is about achieving the goal. I don't care who fights for it. All are welcome. In the end, I think Ron Paul will get the recognition he deserves, but if he didn't, and we still followed the principles he's taught us, I think that he would be fine with that.

not alone.

if you build it he will come..........Ron Paul 2012.

if you build it he will come..........Ron Paul 2012.

I like the John Birch Society.

Beck is still in transition, where he ends up is anyone's guess.

I don't watch fox news, I only catch Glenn on youtube clips.

Glenn is currently finding his appeal to be quite broad based.

Much of the Republican base that was for McCain, (read neocon sheep), are now finding Beck's messages to their liking.

Many of them don't know that Ron Paul and thousands of his supporters have been talking about these things for 18 months or more. While Beck is just recently been discussing it.

There's no use in attacking Beck. He's going to use us, by stealing our language and topics and putting his own personal spin on it. We're going to use him, by showing our necon sheeple friends that we and Ron Paul have been talking about this for a longgg time, and know far more then Glenn does.

This is me speaking from a conservative/libertarian perspective. Most of my friends are Republicans and/or Necons. So this is my perspective.

If you're coming from the left...i.e. progressive/libertarian perspective, most of your friends are probably Democrats/Liberals...I don't know what you do about Glenn. Probably nothing. Just don't bring him up. Or perhaps just mention that he's got a few things right, and to remember that he's a sensationalist. All TV talking heads are.

Eustace Mullins

said JBS was fiananced directly to morgan banking cartel

apparently this is not true...

from http://ernie1241.googlepages.com/mullins

In his 1988 book, Murder By Injection, and in interviews on Rense.com, Mullins made the following assertions about the origins of the John Birch Society:

“JBS was setup by Nelson Rockefeller. I knew two people at the original meeting. They needed a right-wing, anti-communist organization. NR decided that Robert Welch was the man to run JBS, so he arranged for the sale of Welch's Candy Co. (where Robert Welch had been working for his brother John) to Nabisco (which was a Rockefeller controlled company) at a highly inflated price and Welch was given an income to run the John Birch Society.

Revilo Oliver was a good friend of mine and he was one of the founders of the JBS. He and I were sitting in his living room once and he told me that he knew Nelson Rockefeller ran the Birch Society because he had a revolving fund at Chase Manhattan Bank, and whenever Welch needed a quarter million dollars to meet the payroll, he'd go to CMB and withdraw the money.”

In February 2007, John Birch Society President John F. McManus responded as follows when asked about Mullins’ charges:

“The only correct item in the Mullins’ interview is his mention of Revilo Oliver as one of the JBS Founders. There were 11 men who sat through RW's two-day presnetation in December 1958. Oliver was heavily involved in JBS (writing regularly for American Opinion magazine) until July 1966 when a speech he gave at the New England Rally for God, Family and Country disturbed RW [Robert Welch] to the degree that he traveled to Illinois to sit down with Oliver and discuss it. Oliver refused to let him in his home, told RW he wanted nothing more to do with JBS, and started a campaign to besmirch the Society.

I never saw any evidence that Oliver was responsible for the Mullins' charges about Rockefeller although it's possible that he started that nonsense. The truth is completely opposite. Nelson Rockefeller had no part in the JBS - ever!

RW separated himself from the Welch Candy Company before he started JBS because he expected retaliation and didn't want what he was about to do [to] reflect negatively on the company. The sale of the company to Nabisco in 1963 was engineered by James O. Welch, RW's younger brother. The company was known as the James O. Welch Candy Company and James was its President, RW its Vice President.

There was no JBS bank account at Chase Manhattan…”

“There have always been several reasons why our American Opinion Bookstores were asked not to stock the works of some persons and organizations. One was their anti-Semitic content. Others included faulty research, unproven claims, nastiness toward JBS, racism, etc.

Mullins’ works were placed in the ‘not recommended’ category because they were deemed unreliable. After that decision was made, and probably in retaliation, Mullins issued a book entitled Murder By Injection in which he devoted several pages to making the most outrageous and ridiculous charges about our Society and Founder (Robert Welch) that have ever been made. We have frequently had to respond to his absurdities.

After I sent the most recent message to you, I recalled being approached by Mullins who hoped that we might help to market his books. This was long after he had published the claims about Rockefeller being the JBS patron. The response to him was simple: Why would you want an organization that you believe is part of the Conspiracy's subversion to market your books?

I also recall meeting the man who financed the Mullins book on the Federal Reserve. He told me that he was very angry about having spent money for such a poor piece of work.”

is glenn beck trying to

is glenn beck trying to discredit the liberty movement? it sure seems like it.

Laissez-faire Blog

Is that his purpose?

To make this topic appear totally ridiculous. Public ridicule will then successfully kill it off. That could be the plan. I think he should be treated with caution.

Personality Disorder

I think Beck has something wrong with him, probably some kind of personality disorder. He contradicts himself constantly, without any coherent world view or philosophy. He's gravitated towards Ron Paul's positions lately, but neither he nor any other mainstream 'so called conservative' journalist did anything other than taunt and insult us during the campaign. Now he wants to pretend that he was with us all along. To hell with him.

My post on the site

Beck crazy???
But, not nearly as dangerous as Pelosi and Reid.

It's a good sign that he is

It's a good sign that he is hitting the elites too close to home. I bet Beck will be off the air before the year is over, the closer he gets to exposing thier agenda to the masses.

Beck is an infiltrator....?

bla, bla, bla. I do remember him saying Dr Paul supporters were terrorists, during the primaries.

And maybe he's had some personal growth since then. Were you born knowing everything you know now ?

How the hell can you be certain of either side of the argument ?

Beck and Fox

And just what do you think the liberals think about us?
They also think we are crazy! At least issues that need to be "aired" are getting just that. Murdock might just be shooting off his own foot. Frankly I like to see the pot stirred, makes me smile.

I agree--makes me smile! ;-)

Beck and Fox are being used to brand our pro liberty movement

They are being used to keep us fragmented. Divided. Oldest trick in the book.

I have many liberal friends

They are so close to understanding the importance of the Constitution. So close. Then comes along a Rush or a Beck or Fox. These tools are trying to brand our movement as neoconservative. This has instantly driven some of my friends away. That is the very clear plan, my friends. We must come together as a nation if we have any chance of demanding change. "They" will try to keep us apart. That is the game.

works the same way in reverse

there's a lot in the liberty movement that the mainstream political spectrums find uncomfortable.

nothing like me discussing the legalization of drugs, non-interventionist foreign policy, the fact that the state should not be interfering/involved with marriage....any of these things sends my mostly conservative/republican friends running scared away from the movement.

we face the same problem from different sides.

I would tell your friends that Glenn doesn't represent us. We're a lose knit group of diverse people, who prioritize liberty.

There are people who come from the right on this board, they will naturally feel somewhat comfortable with Glenn and Fox News.

I know it, because I too feel comfortable when watching his youtube clips. I have to remind myself that all TV talking heads will say anything to make a buck, and whatever the soup of the day is, that is what they will be discussing.
