Don't Buy Gas Today - Donate what you would have spent to Ron Paul
Submitted by libertynerd on Wed, 11/21/2007 - 15:26I just found out through MySpace that today is a "Don't Buy Gas" Day to protest the soaring price of gas. Now most of us Paulites realize that it isn't the price of gas/oil that is going up, it is the value of the dollar that is plummeting thinks to the Federal Reserve and inflation. Nonetheless, I say we participate for different reasons. "No blood for oil"
Here is the text of the MySpace Bulletin:

Don't pump gas on November 21, 2007
In April 1997, there was a "gas out" conducted nationwide in protest of gas prices. Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight.
On November 21st 2007, all internet users are to not go to a gas station in protest of high gas prices. Gas is now over $3.20 a gallon in most places.
There are 73,000,000+ American members currently on the internet network, and the average car takes about 45 to 65 dollars to fill up.
If all users did not go to the pump on the 21st, it would take $2,292,000,000.00 (that's almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil companies pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on November 21st and let's try to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil industry for at least one day.
If you agree (which I can't see why you wouldn't) repost this to ALL~ "Don't pump gas on November 21st"

I say no one buy gas today, and donate the money you would have spent at the pump to Ron Paul. A one-two punch against the neo-cons.

Well
These things are always scams. Look, the oil companies don't care.
You still buy gas the next day, they don't even notice.
However, imagine how much you'd have saved, and then donate that anyways.
Make it a high number.
