Marijuana and Driving

Nice Brit Video showing someone stone on dope and driving.
I will admit that I have driven both stoned and drunk. It was a long time ago when I was in my 20's and from my own experience, I was way better at driving while stoned and I was a horrible driver when I was drunk.
The example the driver in this clip says he felt while driving stoned is exactly the way I felt. I paid more attention to what was occurring around me. I was more concerned about those around me and was more 'cautious' ''paranoid' whatever you want to call it about accidentally hitting someone.
On the other hand, I didn't give a darn about what I was doing when drunk. I would accelerate if someone passed me, I couldn't focus on the road and I constantly over corrected.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Night time driving vision is affected when stoned
Judgement calls can be questionable as well. Ever take a shower stoned and forget what parts of your body you washed? Think those skills carry over to driving? Hmmmm.....
cannabis helps you see in the dark.

the same thing happens to sober people. but yes some people can not handle their weed and act stupid.

We knew it gave people the munchies and made them giggle. Now researchers claim to have found a new property in cannabis - it helps us see in the dark.
Scientists made their discovery after becoming intrigued by Moroccan fishermen who not only failed to lose their sense of direction after smoking generous amounts of local kif, a mixture of cannabis and tobacco, but seemed to navigate better on dark nights.
"They attribute their ability to see to the consumption of kif that they spend entire hours smoking before getting into their barques," one of the research team, drawn from the US, Spain and Morocco, reported.
Jamaican fishermen have reportedly shown a similar reaction, suggesting that there may be something medically useful in cannabis apart from the pain-deadening properties already spotted by doctors treating cancer patients.

Stoned drivers
drive slow. Driving 35 mph when you're high feels like you're doing 80 mph. Therefore, you take more caution. :D

Alcohol is a harder drug than Marijuana
I'd rather share the freeway with a hundred drivers smoking weed than one guy bombed out on Miller High Life.

THE DOT did a study...
The purpose was to determine the effect of marijuana and driving...
The GOVERNMENT STUDY showed that those; who drove stoned had slightly higher levels of SAFTEY than those who dont drive stoned...
the DOT study is here...

ok
I think a lot of us have already done some similar scientific research of our own here. also I've always been under impression that "dope" was cocaine, anyway, like Ron said to the view lady on cnn, nobody has ever been ticketed for dui for marijuana high. I always wondered if they could tell, and how theyd be sure of it.

with empty cheetoos bags and soda bottles AND bloodshot eyes. Lol.
I wish Dr. Paul
knew about the flashlight developed by CT police, it measures the rate of pupil dilation and I think it can be used as evidence. That would have really put his argument over the top, but he still schooled the so-called libs anyway. I read about the flashlight at least 20 years ago and can't seem to locate info for you right now.
Did not find the old story, but here is one

Bloodshot eyes are a dead give-away...that you have bloodshot
eyes. In court they have nothing. Even if you had bloodshot eyes and they found a pound of weed, proving you were under its influence is nearly impossible.

They know
You don't have rights, they just can't lock everyone up, that's the only power we have left. In Missouri the cops don't have to read you your rights when arresting someone or give them a phone call. I know someone whom they told a phone call was a privilige. They can do what they want to you.
Good point.
Weird how in sheep logic I am supposed to say, "and that's why marijuana is bad".
